We were initially diagnosed with a PCV defect and quoted $1,700 to replace the entire PCV manifold. We then sought a second opinion at a Chevrolet dealership, where we were told the issue was actually related to spark plugs and were quoted $250. The dealership indicated that the initial diagnosis was incorrect. This raises a concern: if we had proceeded with the $1,700 repair, would the shop have discovered that the PCV manifold was not the true issue, corrected the spark plugs instead, and still charged us for the full PCV replacement? Or would they have acknowledged the misdiagnosis and adjusted the cost accordingly to reflect only the necessary repair? Because this type of correction could be made internally without the customer's knowledge, it creates uncertainty about whether the quoted repair and cost were truly justified. read more

I went in for an alignment, and all they said was my car needed something other service. Then tried to sell me a $1000 set of tires. These people informed me after paying to have my vehicle towed to their location for removal of the Smartstart equipment in my car that they parked my vehicle in the street to be towed. They are nothing but uncooperative and belligerent when it comes to their business and if you don't want to encounter the same don't go to them for anything! I requested break work from them on 5/14/24 and it was ready in a couple hours' time. It was actually cheaper than the estimate they had given me, and they were nice enough to use a "coupon" that gave me an additional $50 off. I am very pleased with the professional, friendly service and will probably use them from now on instead of the dealership. My 19 yr old son dropped car off .. estimate was $1400 to repair/replace gas tank. Over 3 weeks time span, they supposedly received 3 faulty "used" tanks that didn't work (not his fault) After i called and threatened to pick up car they stated they'd replace with new at their cost. His final bill was now $2200. $1600 (parts) & $500 (labor). When i asked to see receipt for tank. I found they bought the tank at AutoZone & marked the price up over $200.. I could have purchased all parts myself on-line for approx $500. I'm pretty sure he could've went to the Ford dealership & gotten better (and quicker) service at a cheaper price .. I took my Ford here a year ago to have brakes done. They did such a great job that I take my Dodge here for everything. Jay is so friendly and professional. I knew how much it was going to be before they did any work. They let me know if there are any extra recommendations and how it will affect my bill before anything is done. Family of 6 traveling from FL back to IN and hear a noise as we pull in to our hotel late on a Friday night. Saturday morning we stop in to Midas to have it checked out. They went over the problems with us in great detail and ordered the parts to complete the job. Noticing we are from out of town they offer to drop us off someplace for breakfast and then return to pick us up. When we returned they we almost done with our vehicle. They made what was a terrible vacation experience in to a good one. They were very caring and thoughtful. Within 3 hours we are back on the road with new brakes, calipers and rotors! These guys are so nice and helpful! Several warning sensors were displayed on my car so I made an appointment. They found out that they were not able to help me and I would have to take my car to a Toyota dealership. They recommended a specific dealership to go to and, most importantly, they DID NOT CHARGE ME!!! It only took about 20 minutes overall and they didn't want to charge me for just running a diagnostic. These guys are 100% the fastest working, fairest priced mechanics in Chattanooga. If you're like me, it's really easy to feel like you're getting the runaround with an auto-shop and it's impossible to know if you're getting a fair price. Well, after trying several different places in Chatt, including NTB and a couple mom and pop shops, I landed at Midas and stayed with them until I left Chattanooga. I had to drive my shabby old PT Cruiser across the country, from Chattanooga to California, and I got some work done with Todd and Jay before I left just to make sure it was tuned up. 3,000+ miles later it's running smoother than shit through a goose and I couldn't be happier. Traveling through town my car broke down. We were on the way to my Grandmother's funeral when we ended up on the side of the road with a car that just wouldn't start. Called Midas and the rest is history! I had family come and pick me up, but Midas had my car towed and diagnostics run before the funeral was even over. I had already planned to stay the night and asked if it was possible to have the car fixed by the next day, and they did it! I can't say enough, so I thought I write a review. Went for a shaky feeling in my front end during a road trip. They brought the car in right away. Todd the owner and manager was super nice and helpful and same for the mechanic. They could have completely raked me to make money but instead they only charged me ten bucks to rotate the tires to get me back on the road. They also went over exactly what I should do when using get home to get it fixed relatively cheaply. I can't imagine them screwing anyone over. They also have fantastic Google reviews if you check that as well. read more

Went in for a coupon deal, went in for my appointment for an oil change and tire rotation to find out they couldn't do an oil change due to my type of car. But the manager did my tire rotation for free because of the troubles. The man was very nice, informative, and definitely all about customer service. I recommend him to anyone! read more

When I went to a better mechanic, for him to double check their work he said the part was still in backwards!!!! What a waist of money! Horrible customer service by TODD. I was calling to schedule an oil change since I was leaving town. He didn't have availability until next when so I asked if there was another Midas. He told me no, that I can just check my oil and should be fine. I told him I need my oil changed and I already pre bought a coupon for Midas. He hung up on me and when I called back to ask why was I hung up on he said he thought I was hanging up on him. I asked if I could speak to someone else in regards to his attitude and he told me no and then hung up on me again. read more
