I was told when I got my oil changed that my driver side windshield wiper needed to be replaced and there's nothing wrong with it. The passenger side is the one that doesn't clean the whole window also my air filter and I went and bought one and realize that they just changed it two oil changes ago and it's supposed to last for 2 years. What are they trying to do to us. Last time I was there it cost me a $400 battery. It worked fine when I drove in and couldn't start it when I was leaving. So I was at their Mercy. My car is old and I never would have put a $400 battery in it. Just saying I think they're trying to find things wrong with your car hoping you're not going to investigate. Never going back. Oh on top of that on Facebook there is a coupon for 1999 oil change and turns out it was $49.99 and I did make the appointment via Facebook. read more

My experience with them was less than ideal. I seriously needed tires, even my spare tire wasn't holding air and could see the wires of the tread on others. I tried to schedule an appointment online for a set of 4 new tires that was labeled on their specific store website at $114, for the next day at 10 am. I get a voicemail from them at 9:30 am the day I'm supposed to bring it in saying they didn't have the tires available. I called them back and after talking about my budget for tires ($130 each) Scott told me he would give me a call back with a few options and quotes. I waited an hour for a call back, and eventually called midas myself instead of waiting for the return call. Another employee answered and said Scott was out and that he would be back in 10 mins to do my quote and to wait 45 mins for them to call me back. I waited another hour, and ended up calling them back again. They still didn't have my quote ready. The man did the quote with me online over the phone and said the cheapest tire they could get me was $179 each, when online (for the page for this specific location midas) there is MULTIPLE options $130 and under. Seems sketchy to me. I asked if it was the same for all midas around that they didn't have cheaper ones and he said that they were all the same price no matter which midas you go to. Which is also weird because if you switch the store online it gives you different prices for the same tire. He said he could give me a discount on the tire he said was $179 (which the website says is $136). He brought the price down to $127 for me, said that the tires would be for sure dropped off if they ordered it before 1pm. He ordered them and said to drop my car off around 3:30 because that's when the shipment of tires comes in. And that he would get my car done by the end of the day for sure, after hearing about my tire situation. I'm halfway there to drop my car off and I got a call from them saying the tires never came but they would for sure be there by the next morning and that they could have it done by 1pm that next day that the tires came in. By that time it was already 3:20 pm and I very well could have had an appointment somewhere else to get a new set of tires that were in stock, I didn't because Scott assured me that the tires would have been there that day by 3:30. The next day(today) I dropped my car off at 8:50 am and he asked when I needed my car back. I told him that they said it would be done by 1pm that day and that I had to work at 4. I got a call at 10am that day and they had offered to change my oil because it was almost due, I couldn't afford it so I denied and said to let me know when everything else was done. I waited, it was 1:45 and I HAD TO CALL THEM AGAIN to check the status of my car. They said had been done. I never have received such bad customer service with communication in any of my time going to mechanics. Usually when a BUSINESS says they will call you back with a quote/ or information about your car that THEY HAVE, they do!!! I should not have had to call them back every single time when they said they would do the calling in the first place!!! Very worrisome!! When I got there to pick up my car, after finding out almost an hour after the time they said it would be ready, they tried charging me $830 when I signed off and agreed to the $713 charge?? I said that that's not what I agreed to and that they said they would call if anything changed. They did lower the price back to $713 eventually. But all the pricing confusion and communication issues, I will not be going back. I'll have to see how the customer service is if anything happens to my new tires before the warranty is up. If I wasn't in the emergency situation that I was in, I would have waited for an appointment somewhere else. Very sketchy seeming with prices being different online than in person, the communication issues, and trying to charge me more than what I originally agreed to. I am happy that it eventually did get done and I have new tires though. So in the end, everything did work out but not worth the time, trouble, or $ in the future for me. Not sure if all Midas is the same but I will not be returning to this location. read more

*I'm writing this for a friend who refuses to be a yelper like myself* I went into this Midas in Cudahy expecting to have to get my coolant filled. I come to find out that my cap was just broken, and my fluid level was fine. The personnel that assisted me fixed my cap, and didn't even charge me for it! Talk about great customer service. Avoid them!! 1 - I had them install winter tires in my current set of wheels, not only did they break one of my TPMS but didn't link the TPMS that I bought from them for $100 and told me that the software needed to be updated for my car. I've called them every week after that was told to see if this happened and just quit after 3 weeks. Since I had to take my car for maintenance at the dealership, I had them sync the TMPS to my car and to my surprise, the TPMS either didn't work or the frequency didn't match my car (they brought the sensor to me and didn't look new). 2 - had my other car change tires + wheels at the same time as above and not surprisingly they didn't sync the sensor as well. This was easier to fix since I provided all the TPMS for this set of wheels read more

Can't trust this place. We've been going in there for many years and I just called to check on my mileage to see if It's almost time for my oil change and they couldn't find me in their system. Not thru my name, Car model, Phone number or even license plate. I wonder if their even putting in the correct oil including the synthetic it requires?? U get what u pay for althou they aint all that much cheaper than anywhere else and that's only if u have a coupon? Not worth the risk. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! Had my brakes done in May 2014, in October 2014 I was at Tires Plus getting new tires when the mechanic there discovered ALL FIVE of my right rear tire studs were stretched out, and when they went to put the lug nuts back on, one of the studs BROKE OFF! Apparently when Midas put my rear tire back on after the brake job in May, the lug nuts were over-torqued. During the next 5 months that the damage was done, THANK GOD that the studs didn't break off while driving!!! It costs me FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to get the hub assembly replaced, along with 5 new lug nuts, BEFORE the car was even drivable again. I called and spoke to the Cudahy Midas manager, they refused to take responsibility, so I contacted Midas Corp and filed a claim....of course that was just as useless, they "tried" to intervene, yet in the end they couldn't do anything...surprise! Some BS about it being past 90 days, um I wasn't claiming the brakes were faulty, just the labor who damaged my vehicle! AGAIN STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!! read more

went to midas and they wanted 1800.00 to replace my exhaust. went on ebay bought the whole system under 500.00 had it put on for 60.00
