I called another location, off Miller Parkway and the person who answered the phone was fairly rude, so I chose this location. I went in with no notice and was immediately helped. The staff was friendly and helpful. A man at the register immediately came outside and tested my battery. He found it did need replacing and identified another issue. We discussed investment level for a new battery and the team started installation right away. They creatively applied sales promotions and credit and got me a battery for roughly 50% off. They even gave me a garage recommendation for the other issue and carried my bag of snow melt out for me. I'd return for sure.

My car had 3 lights turn on the dash so I stopped in for a diagnosis. I was the only one in the…read morestore at the time and felt like I was "bothering" him to come out and do his job. He started by asking if I had any accessories on (i.e. radio, etc) as it would give a different read. And that he couldn't give me anything else except the "check engine light" I said "no accessories and ok i understand, and appreciate your time". He then plugged in the reader and walked back into the store to print the report. Handed me the report, for which I thanked him again... and I was on my way. No friendly customer service interaction and I will not be back to this location unfortunately.

Nothing to really complain about except the antifreeze day purchased seems a little on the pricey side. Other then that it's exactly what you would expect.

Went for Battery and install. Randy at the counter brought up the list of in-stock batteries that…read morewere compatible. He noticed that one with more Cold Cranking Amps was listed at a lower price than the other. Calling the installer over, he found out that the cheaper battery was also larger, and didn't fit in all models. He went out to my car and confirmed that it would fit. As he started the installation, we joked about how it was 70 and sunny and we're concerned about CCA. (gotta love Wisconsin) There was an issue with the terminal being badly corroded, and Jose, the installer, didn't want to risk cracking it. I also did not want to risk getting stuck, so I said I would get help and possibly look at changing the terminal too. When my car wouldn't start on the existing battery, he came back out, and assisted with changing the terminal. (fortunately, it was a bolted connection, and did not require cutting the wires off. The staff here went way above and beyond for what turned out not to be a simple replacement. I understand the original hesitation to risk making a situation worse, and I deeply appreciate the willingness to try it anyway, when it became obvious that the car really needed to get that new battery and connection in. He also gave me a heads up on the shaking that might occur in the car when removing a power source, and the computer goes through a re-learning of the systems. It did happen for a while, and I didn't panic because of the understanding of what happens. I have a relative who is a mechanic, and is usually my first stop. Advanced is certainly my new stop for parts and for those occasions that I need outside assistance.

My cars Ac was blowing warm and it's been very hot the last few days so I went over to Autozone to…read moretake a look around. Taking your car to a repair shop for diagnostics of the vehicle can be $100 an hour and up so I wanted to see if I could try something from the parts store. The AC system is a sealed system that runs on a refrigerant so if I didn't have an opening in the system or a major part failure it just might be low on refrigerant, that much I know. Autozone had the AC pro refill can with a gauge on it that has two useful measurements for the non mechanic, pressure in the system and if the compressor is running which for a non mechanic is at least somewhat useful. Under $50 with a $15 rebate, $15 store card in the mail which is ok. When I attached the unit to my car I was kind of happy because the gauge showed that the compressor was working and the pressure was not in the green, low actually in the white so a simple refill might work. The can has leak sealer in it so if I have a small leak it might seal it self. As I added the Freon the gauge held pressure which was a good sign somewhat, it's not a complete blow out of the system and this might work for a while. When I was done I ran the AC for 20 minutes and it was still blowing cold so it's not a complete system failure and I might have fixed my AC for under $50, time will tell how long it will last but it's working now. The guy helping me was explaining how to use the product which matches the instructions on the can Incase I couldn't read, still helpful but I can read. The store itself is your typical vehicle parts store with everything vehicle related including tools and tool rental if you only need it once.
