Took my car in Friday to get my tires rotated . I noticed I was missing a valve stem cap off one of my tires. Then, as I was driving, something seem to be off . The car is Pulling to the right . I never had issues before this particular tire rotation appointment. I proceeded to call and ask in which direction they rotated my tires. They referred me to purchase an alignment. and told me that I needed to have an alignment done. Instead of offering for me to bring the car back in to see if the tires were rotated properly .Nina said I needed an alignment and kept giving me price quotes to get an alignment done. Nina kept cutting me off as I was talking. She keep trying to talk over me.and not let me explain the problem. I will no longer be purchasing tires or rotations or oil changes or any car repair done with Firestone . Poor service and poor customer service .

Avoid this place at all costs. This was the quote I received - printed and all! For 4 tires and…read moretheir 12 month financing. After I completely signed up I was about to pay the "due today" and it turns out they were actually going to charge me well over $1000! Consultant wasn't even going to say anything! He was obviously hoping I wouldn't notice. When I asked if he'd honor the price he quoted and I had in (his) writing he said no! I got on the phone with Farm and Fleet and was quoted a much lower price. Asked if he would beat that price and he said he would match but not go lower at all. He could have, but didn't care to go the extra mile for a customer he just wasted over an hour of their day for. Overall a shady place, plus the guy came off extremely pretentious. It's crystal clear after talking to him for a mere 5 minutes he was trying to pull one over on me. Especially if you're a woman-- DO NOT GO HERE.

Classic Bait and Switch. I was given an estimate of about…read more$1,000 for a set of new tires plus alignment. So I dropped off the car, then got a phone call that the alignment would cost an extra $239 for the rear tires. "The estimate only included the front tires," they told me. "But we can give you a coupon for $20 off." Who would give an estimate that did not include the alignment of all four tires? I will send a letter to the Bureau of Consumer Protection at P.O. Box 8911, Madison WI 53708. Maybe they will agree.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at this Midas location. On July 8, 2024, I…read morescheduled an appointment to diagnose three warning lights on my car: the SH-AWD light, emissions test light, and A136 service light. I arrived at 3:15 PM and signed a consent form for diagnostics, for which I was charged $82.50. After examining my vehicle, the technicians informed me that I needed a Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor. They emphasized that not replacing the sensor promptly could lead to improper air-fuel mixture and potentially damage the catalytic converter. Given that I use my car for work, they strongly recommended an immediate fix. When I inquired about the urgency, they insisted it should be done as soon as possible. Due to the urgency conveyed, I sought a secondary opinion but could only reach my sister, who advised following the shop's recommendation. The quoted cost for the MAF Sensor was $264.99, with an additional $85.00 for labor. As I did not have the necessary funds available, the staff suggested an EasyPay loan, which I applied for and was approved. However, upon further investigation, I discovered that the MAF Sensor in question retails for only $59.99. This significant discrepancy indicates that I was charged nearly five times the retail price, which I believe is a deceptive and unethical practice. I am highly concerned about the business practices at this Midas location. I urge other customers to be cautious and seek a second opinion before agreeing to any costly repairs here. I am currently pursuing a complaint with the BBB and the consumer protection office to address this matter. Update: the manager also lied to the consumer protection offices and said my car was brought in for intermittent no start which isnt even true my car has never not started. ETA: Alex has been really helpful and took time to explain everything to me in detail. I still think there should have been more of a diagnostic and testing and that the cost of the part is really expensive but I've felt less like I'm being taken advantage of since he took time to explain everything even if I don't understand it. Corporate still hasn't called me back.

I've had my car there 3 times for service since they first opened their doors a few months ago. In…read moreeach case, I was totally satisfied with the quality of the work done. The first time, I had a coolant leak and the mechanic actually SHOWED me where it was leaking. Actually seeing the problem with my own eyes when the car was on the lift immediately made me feel that they can be trusted. They fixed that problem, did some other overdue maintenance work, and the car's been running much better now, zero problems. The only minor problem I had was that I asked for the parts to be returned to me, and they weren't. That really wasn't a big deal since my driveway isn't full of coolant spots any more. I thought the price for this repair was entirely fair. The second time was a problem that couldn't be duplicated when I was driving it while the tech was in the car with me. Ah well... They didn't charge me for that visit. The most recent visit was exceptional. I managed to get the end of a gas funnel stuck in the neck of my gas tank. This caused all kinds of problems when I'd fill up with gas at Kwik Trip. I tried to fish it out myself, but couldn't. I brought it to the dealership, and they told me they couldn't see it or get it out after allegedly scoping it out. The dealership charged me for that visit. I know they have bills to pay, so I was OK with that. On a whim, I brought it to the new Meineke (formerly Pope Autoworx). I told them what happened and that I wanted them to try to get it out, but I'd pay for an hour of time, no matter what. I told them that I wanted to save the part so I could see it. Well... THEY GOT IT OUT!!!!! The dedication, time and effort that they showed me in actually FIXING this problem impressed the hell out of me. I do my own oil changes and brake jobs, but for nearly everything else, this Meineke garage will be my first call.
