He helped me get a great price for everything I needed with my car and provided excellent customer support! While I was waiting they offered complimentary coffee and water which was so nice, they also have three tv's for entertainment which was amazing and helped the time pass by while waiting for my car! Do not trust this new owner, he will always pass the blame to the customer with NO OWNERSHIP. His POS system double charges customer and his response is to "take it up with my credit card company. It's YOUR POS system and YOUR credit card company. You "the owner" have the responsibility to take care of it for YOUR customer. Their services and parts are ridiculously overpriced. I got estimates for the same job on the same day from Pep Boys, Jiffy Lube, Tire Kingdom, and Goodyear that were all at least $100 less than Midas. Lastly, only a few of the employees and technicians were in uniform and safety equipment. Most of them were wearing tank tops, t-shirts, shorts, sandals, slippers, etc. Looked very unprofessional and were very overpriced. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

I will NEVER return here again. I came in for an oil change and was told it would be 45 minutes, and although the lady inside was nice there was some condescending undertones when I became irritated after 1 hour and a half of waiting. I was told after about an hour being at the shop that I needed a drain plug ($30, only $6 at the store) however I approved it. So about 1.5 hours later when I inquired what was the hold up, started the part was being delivered!!!! WTH . When I went in I asked got the approximate time, because I was on lunch, needless to say almost 2 hours and $110 later, it's done an oil change. And no one apologized. read more

I knew I was in a good place when he said hello thank you for calling Midas auto care. Whom do I have the pleasure speaking with? Super polite. Told Scott I need to get a SYNTHETIC oil change and I told him I had a coupon from their website for a BOGO oil change. I asked him if it's valid for synthetic oil. He said yes. Bring in the car and we'll take care of it. He was super friendly. The tech did the oil change in about 30 minutes. When I showed up, I was addressed by my last name and my paperwork was ready and waiting for me! Went to get an oil change, thought all was well until started having problems with my turbo, went to dealership who informed me my turbo is going out because of very little oil and dirty. Called manager of Midas who quickly attacked me saying I didn't take good care of my car, of which I replied only because I brought it to you. I wasn't implying that they stole them, just that they were taken out and not replaced. My girlfriend went in and asked very nicely if they were here, just asking for them back. I go in for the same kind of oil change (synthetic blend) and am being told I can't get that and can only get synthetic. I call another Midas & am being told that I can get synthetic blend. If you're a women don't go here, they are not honest & will try to tell you a bunch of other things need to be done to your car, they do it to me all the time & I have a family friend mechanic that says what they tell me I need done or replaced is a lie. I love this location! I made the switch to Midas from Jiffy Lube almost a year ago and I haven't been dissatisfied yet. This location, specifically is honest and efficient. I recently moved to Miami Beach and made the drive to Davie just for them. Oscar has taken over as manager and has made me just as comfortable as I was with the previous manager. He has a supportive staff that is very involved in the process of handling you and your car. I had the pleasure of meeting Sean for the first time today as well and these guys are funny and intentional i'm the service they provide. I'm definitely going to continue making the trip up here and not dealing with other locations *cough* the Miami location, thumbs down *cough*. I was in and out and knew my car was being taken care of, the RIGHT way. They also renovated and offer coffee, water, and snacks. This place is a complete scam. I went there for an oil change they then tell me that my serpentine belt is ripping and needs to be replaced and we're going to charge $240 to replace. I said no and went to a more reliable mechanic where I was told my belt looked brand new and barely looked worn in the least. Midas also said my break fluid was bad and needed them bled which I was then told by a reliable mechanic that that wasn't the case at all and told me I was getting scammed by Midas. Oscar is simply amazing. VERY honest and doesn't try to oversell you. I asked for photos to see exactly what condition my brakes were in and he had no problem showing me. I called and setup a standard oil change/tire rotation and spoke with Oscar. My experience from that point on it was the most pleasant experience! Oscar was polite, quick and he even allowed me to use his freezer while my car was being worked on. The seating area was clean, masks were worn and sanitizer was readily available. Came in for a simple oil change. Not hard at all, and it's a $20 special they run a lot if not all the time for synthetic blends. They are extremely friendly almost like ur walking into someone's home. They tell u what you need, give you what u want and aren't SHARKS like you might see from other competitors. This place is extremely slow, the workers have no sense of urgency. Came here to get a front headlight replaced and waited for more than 45 minutes alone in the waiting room before finally being able to speak to anybody to come to find out they haven't began working on my car because they don't even have the lightbulb. Went there today for something as simple as a tire pressure check. Had to leave after 20 minutes because nobody was willing to help me with that. (Two visits) The bad reviews here are valid. So here's the shot, I went here a while back for just a oil change and inspection, the kind they advertise. It was not a peak time of day. It was during the week. Should have been a painless experience. I'm told they're busy, but there was plenty of room in the waiting room. They can do that rapid fast quick oil change that is on the signs, it may take a bit, maybe an hour. I saw people come in for what they thought were minor things and they were renting them cars at a discount and telling them to come back. I left for an uninspired lunch at a nearby cafe. My car was still not up on he lifts but it was next. By now the day is shot, and if you're like me, you think, I want to run from this place and never return. But, supposedly you are next. Conundrum. So you wait. And you wait. The car goes in! Should be only 30 minutes right? That's what the signs say, in and out, and now your car is up. And you wait more. And then you notice no one is even near your car. Maybe some of them went on break. It's no longer busy. And you wait. Hours rolling by. Hey guys, what's the deal , almost done? Oh, they just want their tech to look and discuss it. They still haven't done the oil change. And you wait. Now you're looking at having to pick up kids from school and you're baffled how can an oil change take this long. Yo keep it friendly. Sorry it's taking so long. Pretty soon. And you wait. Finally, you see a guy mill up to the car, then leave. 20 minutes later... wants to come see me, sir, so he can show me something. He recommends all this work, I decline. Just the oil change, please I have to go. They are visibly disappointed. Like they probably don't hear this as much as they should. Thirty minutes later, the oil change is done. It's been a half day. I got up-charged for synthetic oil in a 2004 car, and I don't even care. I take the keys and I promise myself I won't return.... I take the car to my regular trusted mechanic and the substantial expensive work was unnecessary. Because of course it was. (Part II) 11 months later. I'm in a pinch. At noon I realized the back window to my car won't stay up. I go to my regular trusted mechanic. He says it's a little track piece inside the door, but you have to take the door apart to get at it. $120 for the part and $120 for the labor, give or take. That sucks. But it is what it is. The shot is he can't do it that day and suggests that I just get someone to wedge it until it can be fixed properly. He can't do it because he's jammed but he can maybe fix it tomorrow morning. So I drive back home and I think to myself, hey that Midas place. Maybe they had a bad day. I bet they'd just jump at the chance to over charge me for this repair. At least we know the ball park of the price. Failing that I will ask them to wedge it temporarily. So what happens next. I talk to a nice young man, I explain the situation. Here's how the do it at Midas. To tell me the same thing the mechanic just told me (spoiler, I didn't tell them I knew what was wrong with it) they want to do a "diagnostic", then they can give me an estimate of the price. A window that won't stay up? What's that? Well for 89 dollars they will tell you. Ok, I say, but here's the thing, if i pay you 89 for a diagnostic, and you tell me the repair is complicated, how much to wedge it in place. Oh, like not just fixing it but just holding it there.... Right, for a time that I have more time to deal with this... I know what you mean. You can do that, but it's still 89 for the diagnostic. That's fair (by the way, it's not fair, because you don't really need to do a diagnostic to do a wedge, and note again, my mechanic already told me what was wrong in about five minutes for free).., how much extra do you think it will be to wedge it? Let me call my manager. Cool, I say, I'll get a Menchies. Twenty minutes later. I get a call. The manager says I can't do the wedge but we can do the diagnostic and tell you what's wrong and go from there... Cool, No. To be really clear. I want no work done. No diagnostic no anything, if the manager doesn't want to charge me 89 for diagnostic and a bit more for a wedge then I'll just pick it up. Thanks for calling me...I am inside a Menchies. It's impossible to be mad in a Menchies by the way), I'll be right there. He wasn't surprised. I understand, sir, sorry. I wish I could help you out. I believe that (but this place is awful). I keep it friendly. There is too much hurt in the world after the last elections. This guy is just doing his job. But this place is the nightmare you have about the dentist, but instead of a nightmare, it's real life, and instead of a dentist, it is a car shop. I pick up the keys and do the job at home. Took me 10 minutes. Tomorrow Franco's in Dania will fix it. Pass. Hard pass. read more

TERRIBLE experience!!! Paid hundreds to get brake pads changed, and car came out making grinding and vibrating noises. They insisted it was because I needed to have the rotors turned, so I paid additional $159 to have the rotors turned. Still the same problem. They checked car out again and had me lined up to spend more to try to fix the problem. I took my car to a dealership to have someone qualified check it out. I found that someone at Midas loosened something in the suspension system that had nothing to do with the brakes, and that's what was causing my problems....and it cost me another $300 at the dealership to fix what Midas screwed up.
