Brought it in for 3 things, paid them 2k and left with none fixed. Incompetent thieves

On March 13 2025 took my truck to Midas 5881 Old Troy Pike in Huber Heights for a catalytic convert plus a tune up. They put on the converter but just found out today on July 7 2025 that they actually didn't do a tune up and they had charged me for it on my invoice. I got my truck back today from another mechanic after having mechanical problems. They had to do a complete tune up and now my truck runs good. I'll never go back to any Midas shops ever. Midas doesn't even get a one star rating from me. read more

I'd give them zero stars if I could! I took my Land Rover to get brake pads changed. First off, it took 10-15 minutes for someone to come out to assist my fiancé and I. They then told us we could pick it up the following day (the car was dropped off between 10 am and 11 am). The following day, we got a text saying they had ordered parts over $300. Keep in mind we took the part that was needed. If it was wrong, we should've gotten an option to pick it up or for them to proceed and order the part, but instead, they ordered without our approval and sent us the invoice and then said we couldn't pick up the car like we all agreed on. We have to wait an extra day. I checked the rover app, and the car was outside with the windows down car unlocked! And it's raining today!! I will NEVER go back to this place. We had our 2013 F-150 Pickup Truck that is used as a work truck (general contractor) in for service. It had a whole list of repairs needed (Front Struts, Front Wheel Bearing/Hub, Rear Shocks, Rear Brake Pads & rotors, Oil Pan Gasket). My 2023 sprinter van needed tires while I was in Streetsboro, stopped in Midas got 2 new back tires and went on my way. While driving my van started to fishtale, took my van back to Streetsboro Midas they found nothing wrong. I left, drove some more and still experienced the same issue. Stopped in Dayton Midas and Nate, the manager, took so much time with my vehicle, felt the problem and suggested I take my truck to Midas with the bigger Bay down the road so they could lift the truck and check on the tires. Had front brakes done there a couple of months back. Charged me a little over 400. Dollars. Not to bad considering but then wanted to charge me 900. plus for the back brakes. So today I checked the price for an alternator replacement and they wanted over 700. for new alternator. Unacceptable. I get everything went up but that's just ripping people off. Excellent service. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I usually do my own oil changes but decided to have them do it quickly. Scheduled an appointment, dropped off and about an hour later was ready for pickup. Would recommend to others. read more

I went to the Huber Heights location because I had a leak in my water pump and getting no heat I had them change the water pump the thermostat the serpentine belt I had them degrease the engine change tow tire rod ends and new back shocks 1955 bucks... I drive the car three miles homes and its leaking and smoking... I call them on Sunday and let them know it was still leaking I bring it in Monday morning and the guy tries to tell me it will be 500 bucks for a new water pump because that one was cracked..I said no way its still under warranty..the guy tried to convince me that I cracked my water pump..I stood my ground...he went and talked to the Manager and they told me they would go ahead and fix it no charge ( LIKE DUHH).... I get a call from them after I left it and they told me that the Hose to the water pump was blown...but they would fix it free..it took them two days..I go to get the car and they show me this dirty ass water pump they said they had to replace... nad Im like well you just put a new one in this saturday so why is that one all greasy and dirty... he says because its UNDER The car.... But I paid to have that degreased.... I also paid for a front end alignment that they didnt do..at any rate My car was in the shop the first place from 800 am to 1100 am they told me they charge 135 per hour for labor..but they charged me 1056 for labor...when I asked about that he said Well it depends on what Kind of Labor.... Horse shit..I called corporate and was basically told they have nothing to do with the franchises He charged me double labor..and they refuse to even discuss it anymore... they charged me 199 for a water pump they got at Geniune for 77 bucks.... I will NEVER EVER go back to Midas.. because if they fuck up or charge wrong its just too bad for you according to Corporate..Id Like My labor charges refunded since I had to bring the car back and it sat for two days...... its ridiculous Never again read more

This is the only Midas I got they give an accurate and honest amount of time of how long it will take.

I went in for an oil change like I always do and they brought me back to let me know my tires needed balanced, but instead of trying to charge me for them to do it they recognized that I had new tires and suggested I go back to where I had them done. Thank you so much Midas if Huber! read more

NOT EFFICIENT AT ALL!! Would not recommend this location what so ever. They take no consideration for the customers time. I had an appointment for 1pm for an oil change that should take maybe 30 minutes. I did not leave until 2:30 pm. I sat and watched CHAD (mechanic) the entire time, while he talked to other co-workers, instead of doing the oil change ! Again would not recommended this location or the mechanic named CHAD! read more

I had a nail in my tire and although I didn't buy my tires from them they fixed my tire for free! The staff were friendly and professional. I definitely recommend this location to anyone who needs a service they provide. read more

I was very pleased with the service I received today. I had two headlights that were out on my Saturn Aura and every other place wanted over $200 to repair. Wife went in for oil change they told her the wheel bearing was bad,we noticed noise so 300 later it was fixed, had oil all over engine They replaced some gasket not even a month after wheel bearing,360 dollars sent wife there again today for oil change and two tires 350,and was told the ball joint was bad on her car on the side they replaced wheel bearing.I know cars need repaired but these guys are bleeding this car dry. Once you get the feeling you can't trust the shop going back to them feels like going against my better judgement,I will find another shop that I don't feel like I'm being bent over at. read more
