The score should be lower or even negative. I had two projects to be done on my truck, and I paid when the first one was complete because I trust people. I was wrong. The crabby owner, named Paul, lied about the progress of the truck and then stiffed me for the work. He says he'll call back, but he never does. He also complained about his own employees and subcontractors as excuses for the project not to get completed. Run away from this place! read more

I drive an older car and it's starting to have parts go bad. Every time I have called these guys they get me in immediately, they tell me what my car needs and take me into the service bay to show me why my car needs work. As a woman it's so refreshing to have guys that take me seriously when it comes to my car, they don't talk down to me, their prices are extremely reasonable and I couldn't ask for a better service experience! Great service, trustworthy employees, incredibly reasonable prices, and easy to schedule! I'm sold as a life-long customer. I've always had great experiences here! I needed my timing chain replaced. I'd gotten a quote at another place I had been going to off and on. Bigger gave me a better deal and went beyond the extra mile to make sure I was taken car of. Since then, I go to Bigger every time. When I take it in for one big thing, they fix minor problems with little to no charge while I'm there. Tip: I made sure the 4" of snow was cleaned off my car before I took it in. I think this helped me get a better deal. ;) I thought this was common courtesy, but as I was leaving, someone else was pulling in with their car still covered. Took our vehicle in to get the left rear brake line replaced I asked if they could check the other while they were at it and also if they could reseal or tire which they never did, I had to call them and ask if they had already looked at them it had been a week at this point and never called me, they said all the lines need to be replaced I asked if they could just do one line for for now an they said NO they will not they estimated everything at 1,200 at that price they don't want my business so if your wanting and brake work DON'T GO THERE! I will be taking my van to DARE automotive Specialists he seems real nice he says he will try his best to do one line of he can he will also inspect the other lines while he's there he quoted me on the phone for one line for 200$ not bad I'll do a review on that place after we are done hope for the best! -TFD read more

I would give zero stars but it made me click something! They do not stand by their work. They ripped my mom off. They replaced her head gasket, radiator, hoses, did a transmission flush and fill and she got her car back and it not only was still over heating and losing coolant, but also had no heat. When she got it back her thermostat was missing and her car over heated and blew her new head gasket and she was told it wasn't their problem! Do not take your car here! read more

Needed my Hybrid battery replaced for my Prius. This is not a common repair, by any stretch. This was the first place out of at least 20 automotive shops (besides toyota) that said they could repair it. When I called they said it would be $50 for the diagnostic, and the diagnostic would take an hour and a half, it ended up taking 30 minutes and he didn't charge me. All great, I was very happy, I thought I found my shop to do the repairs. They confirmed the battery needed to be replaced, said they could do it for $1800 new, or for less if he could get one from a salvage yard. Told me he would call me back later that date with a quote for both. This was all on a Thursday, he never called back. I called back on a Friday, he said he would call me "right back"- never called back again, Saturday they are closed, Sunday they are closed, Monday I called, I said "I really, really need to have an estimate today, whether it is with the new batter or used", he said he would call me back again.....- never called back. I have a feeling they either A. had no idea how to fix it, which is why they didn't charge me for the diagnostic, or B. just have terrible business skills. Regardless, with an $1800 repair- I'm not going to get it done by someone who can't return a phone call... could you imagine if the repair was faulty, I would never get a hold of the guy... What seemed to be a great place, turned out to be really disappointing. Needlesss to say I got it done by a professional place in Cincinnati for $2375, they returned every phone call... and you wouldn't believe it... had an estimate done the same day, had it fixed the next. This is a place where you can bring your car that you can trust. They are honest and friendly. Unlike other shops they will not try to sell you on more than what is needed. Let me be straight - this is not a fancy place. It is more like you are going to your friend's garage to get your car worked on. This gives it a familiar feel and helps put you at ease. I have been a customer of Bigger Road Automotive for years and was generally pleased with the service and pricing. However that changed in a big way recently. While I was out of town, my sister scheduled a diagnostic appointment for an A/C heating issue on my Grand Marquee -she was told it would take 2 days to conduct the diagnostic process. We questioned the extensive time frame but were assured by Paul it was necessary. My sister called on the second day and was told by Paul they were almost finished with the repairs (WHAT???) and the cost is $900! We had not authorized ANY repairs nor were we given a quote. When she stated that was too expensive, Paul asked "how much can you afford" -her reply was $500- he responded OK we will take that and not finish the total repair (which meant no A/C or heat coming out of the vents) Shocked, I called and spoke to Paul expressing my concern at the situation, he replied "well we could take the part out"- unwilling to extend this process - I paid his price and inquired about the the cost to finish the job - $30 for part & labor was his response. We were very surprised but relieved at the reduced price-- but it wasn't real. Then began a game of Paul saying he would call us, which he never did. As time went by my sister called inquiring about the part--the resulting responses ranged from "we got a used part - it didn't work", the part isn't here yet and so on. This went on for weeks! Finally he said they had a part and to come in. My sister parked the car on the street in front of his shop and waited but continued to watch the car -which was never moved into the garage. After 2 hrs of waiting Paul told my sister to come to the desk and then the "show" began. A mechanic came in carrying "a part" and Paul stated "it didn't work so it may be a different problem" She inquired when did they attempt to install the part -he stated just a few minutes ago - (what?!) she stated "how could that happen since the car was never moved to the garage- the response was "we worked on it in the street" -now we had entered the Twilight Zone. Paul then stated he would order a new part and would call when it arrived. We never heard from him again. I am flabbergasted at the rude, disrespectful and unprofessional treatment displayed. I can only surmise it was because we wanted a diagnosis and a quote before the work began. The moral of the story is things have changed "big time" at Bigger Auto!! We will never take another car there - and caution is the word for others when considering hiring this shop for auto repairs. read more

My heat went out in my car.. i went in for a diagnostic to see what all needed fixed.. if it was an easy fix.. big fix.. just wanted to get an idea. They had told me it was a couple hundred dollar fix... which at the time I was okay with because I thought it was going to be way more than that! My heat worked for 2 days and went out again... so I took it back to them for them to see what happened and why it already quit working again.. took my car around closing time and was getting ready to drop my keys in the drop box.. one of the guys walks out and I said "oh hey do you want me to just drop my keys in this drop box or did you wanna take them to put them inside" ... he said, "oh I got it!" .. he took my keys and threw them inside the shop.. probably threw them 10-15ft.. thankfully had nothing valuable or a key fob on the keys that could've broke... so that was unsettling that he just chucked my keys inside but since they were just checking my Car out again I just brushed that off.. they had my car for 2 days and I was never contacted on anything that needed fixed or anything so I gave them a call and he goes "oh yeah.. called the dealer and waiting to see how much a part cost.. you can have your car for the weekend since the weather is going to be nice" so I took my car from them... thinking I was gonna hear back from them.. I never got a call about how much said part cost... a week later... still hadn't heard anything.. so I called them and they said "oh yeah with the part and labor it's gonna cost 650" and that to me was a lot... and I had a feeling they were just guessing what the problem was... so I went elsewhere for a second opinion... told them what they said was wrong with my car to see what they said about it... they said nothing was wrong with that part but there was loose screws !?!? So I was basically gonna pay over 600 dollars for loose screws.. and the other place I got checked at fixed my car for only 200 dollars.. and it has worked ever since then. I don't recommend this place whatsoever. Terrible service. read more

I just came here to get my oil changed. There was a coupon in the reach magazine and I called and made the appointment. Whoever answered the phone wrote down the wrong day and the guy at the counter was nothing but rude to me. Kept sighing really loud after he would tell the employees that "there's a surprise oil change here..." Obviously, they are more about repairs that oil changes, but they had the coupon so I used it. I will never be back. I would given zero stars if that was an option. read more

These guys are great! My friend, who knows about this sort of stuff, told me they were highly recommended. They saw me right away, got me fixed up in just minutes - luckily it was something very minor - and they didn't even charge me. The staff was friendly and didn't try to sell me a bunch of things like the instant oil change places do. They were cheaper too! I have been a customer of Bigger Automotive for over 8 years; having 4 vehicles serviced regularly. I have always found the service to be honest and cost conscience. They take the time to be efficient and even drove mrle back home when repairs were taking longer than expected. I had gone to Bigger Road for several years. Two bad experiences this year. One, got oil changed. Few days later a new friend goes over engine, before fixing a stem and discovers almost no oil in engine!!! I couldn't believe it. Two, my daughter had a flat tire. Tires had just been rotated at Bigger Road. We couldn't loosen one of the lug nuts to get flat off. Roadside assistance couldn't budge it and had to call another roadside assistance for help. A stem broke, when they finally did get the lug nut off. Stopped at a tire shop to get flat repaired and they told us all the lug nuts were on backward. We took the car to the same new friend to repair the stem and he broke another stem, when trying to put all the lug nuts on correctly. The lug nuts had been put on backward. Yes, there is a backward. My trust is their service is wiped out. read more
