On February 20, 2026, I paid $1,586.12 to Midas at 338 E Pulaski Hwy, Elkton, MD for repairs they stated would address shaking at high speeds, a rough ride, and shaking while idling. The issue was not fixed. When I returned to the Elkton location for resolution, I was not provided a solution. Law enforcement was called, and I was asked to leave instead of being assisted. I was then directed to a second location at 3601 Miller Rd, Wilmington, DE to meet with a district manager. During that visit, I was told additional repairs could cost up to $2,244.76, depending on further parts or services. I declined and requested that the original issue be properly repaired without additional charges, as that was the purpose of the initial service. I was later informed that no further repairs would be performed on my vehicle. I am requesting a proper repair or a full refund for the work that was paid for but not completed. had a tire issue driving back from a road trip, had to sleep in my car in 9 degree weather waiting for a shop to open. being a young girl a man in the waiting room sees me visibly upset and offers pay for my tire, out of the kindness of his heart. the man at the front desk (who had been subtly testing my boundaries asking me personal questions about my income, personal life, if I have a valentine etc) given that I was stranded there goes you know what , I'll split that with you. We can go half on it. The man leaves and the man makes me pay for the other half of the bill. It was extremely sadistic given how kind of a gesture the man who clearly felt for me was being and considering that the man at the front desk had been asking me if I'm visiting him for Valentine's Day etc as I'm stranded at his shop sleep deprived , and when I mentioned it he gaslight and screamed at me. read more

Ripped off in Elkton Maryland We spend a lot of time in Maryland from March to October every year. At one time we thought about moving there. Last October 2024, we had battery trouble. Midas replace the battery. The battery they put in was not the same battery on the sale receipt. It has now failed February 2015 this month. Diehard refused to honor the warranty. Took my truck to a Nissan Garage make sure that everything was all right before buying a new battery. They had to jumpstart it to get it in their garage. They told me the battery was not the right one for my truck. They put in the proper battery with a longer warranty. Chanced my full synthetic oil. For lees money than Midas did. Sorry Maryland. Never comeback there again. You probably won't miss me. read more

My Jeep was hit in a parking lot while I was inside McDonalds. I came out to find my dash lit up like a Christmas tree. No note of course. It said my swaybar was disconnected and the 4WD needed service among other less concerning warnings. Midas was closeby so I called and they told me to bring it right in. Everyone was so accommodating despite the fact they were really busy. Put my Jeep on the lift, checked it over real well and told me they couldn't see any visable damage and nothing was disconnected. Told me what to watch for and assured me the Jeep wasn't going to run off the road. I was 2 hours from home with 2 dogs in the car on a trip and felt so stranded. No charge! I was shocked! This after I drove to a nearby Jeep dealer who totally refused to even look at the car. Anyone in the Elkton area, give these guys a try. They are courteous, thorough, and actually care. I take both of my vehicles here for oil changes. I like this place because everyone here are respectful and they never take advantage of their customers trying to make a profit from adding things to be replaced. You go for an oil change, you get an oil change. They do a free inspection which is great because they found a brake Caliber that was sticken on my dodge journey and I would never had known about it without having it inspected. Their multi-point inspection is very thorough and if they do find a worn or defective part they show it to you immediately and discuss pricing. They have open bays so full transparency. The staff is friendly, courteous, helpful and professional. Their waiting area is always clean as a whistle. I can't believe I forgot to post this review from a year ago! The people at this location are AMAZING. We had been 3 hours into a 3,000 mile road trip (began in NYC) and started breaking down on the interstate. We pulled off the next exit and yelped the nearest auto repair shop (Midas). Despite being busy with many other cars, they were VERY kind to squeeze us in. Not only did they diagnose the issues quickly, but they fixed it promptly and for a reasonable price. They also showed us everything under the hood, all the bad parts, and explained why they needed to be replaced... which, for me, was wonderful because I generally don't understand cars. Rather than simply having to take their word for it, they physically showed us every bad part in comparison to a good part. Unfortunately, we live in NYC, but if we were nearby this would be our new place. THANK YOU to everyone here. I went in with a catalytic converter issue . Due to there complimentary safety check . They saw i needed rotors and brakes all the way around . Thank goodness they caught this they were on the verge of having no brake material on the pads . Due to there safety check they saved me from a major disaster .. i will always return to this shop good honest people with great prices . read more

Took my pickup truck in to have new rims installed .( My tires are almost new ) when I picked up my truck it was driving terrible making rumbling noises like a bearing gone bad only to find out that the tech I requested did not perform the work. I have had great luck over the past 8 years or so. I have brought various vehicles here, both newer and used. The shop takes the time to show me what's wrong and give me options on how to fix it. The shop provides personal service and I nearly always come back to THIS Midas even after getting quotes from the dealership. I went there for an oil change which was a good deal. Included in the oil change was a tire rotation. 1 week later coming home from Philadelphia in the pouring rain my rear wheel fell off. The repair cost me over $500. They would not compensate me at all for the expenses that I had to pay for out of my own pocket. Obviously their service is subpar. Beware! read more

I needed a new muffler for my car, and was a little gun shy looking for a reputable repair shop. I had previously been ripped off by a different local shop in Chesapeake City, and after shelling out $300, they still hadn't fixed the problem. So I thought I would take a chance on Midas for this new repair. I called and asked for a price to replace my muffler, and was given a fair price over the phone. (I knew how much the parts were, if I was to do the job myself at home.) I knew there was another problem with my car, and I had previously bought parts for that repair, thinking I would do it myself. I asked if they could install my part while the car was on the lift, and was told no problem. I then asked for an oil and filter change. Once again, no problem. As a pleasant surprise, they rotated my tires at no charge. Some other problems were discovered while the car was on the lift, and I was given a written proposal to fix them. However, there was no pressure from the manager to perform the repairs that day. I found two coupons online, and saved $35 on the total bill. I used to go to Mr. Goodwrench, behind Williams Chevrolet, for all of our oil changes. I am now going to switch to Midas. Very pleased with my experience there. read more
