I called Bob on a Monday and got the car in and done on a Thursday. My Buick was having issues with ABS lights and traction control lights going off. Bob was fantastic and shot me straight in the whole process letting me know exactly what was wrong and was upfront about how much it was gonna take to fix it and did everything in a timely professional manner. When I went to pick up the car he even taught me about the repair that they made and what had happened with my van. Shamrock Auto Repair in Elkton, MD saves the day YET AGAIN for me. They could have taken advantage and told me I needed new transmission. Instead of being dishonest, they told me there was a seal leak, recommended draining, flushing, fix leaks and got me back on the road faster than I imagined possible during this Covid Dilemma. Came here for a state inspection, my car didn't pass the first time so I had to come back a second time . On both occasions the shop failed to tighten the bolts to my wheel , thankfully I wasn't going very fast when I felt my wheels shake. Could've been bad read more

I had a good feeling when I walked in. The owner seemed nice and polite, but behind that kindness is a lot of fakeness. I brought my daughter's car in to get inspected. Now I know it was an older car w/ a lot of miles, but its in good shape. Some of the items I could understand needing to be fixed, but there was one item on the car in particular that was totally out of left field. The break lines. ($$$$ were definitely flying around this owners head. Little did he know that, my brother who is a professional mechanic for over 30 years came with me and I have several friends who own auto mechanic shops.) The owner had no problems putting on a show and lie. During the inspection of the car, the owner came out with a break line from another car. (Mind you it's in his shop waiting for a sucker to get sucked into his BS. I wonder what other parts he keeps laying around to use as a props??!!) This break line was rusted to a degree that was unbelievable. So he proceed to tell us that our car had rusted break lines and compared it to this prop he had laying around. (In our heads, we were thinking WHAT??!!!) Unfortunately, your at the mercy of people who own businesses where you need their help, so you don't want to create any bad blood at the moment. You hope that they have a heart and try to do right by their customers. He finishes the inspection which took sometime, and that was no problem. He failed us for a lot of little things, but made sure to mark off the break lines all needed to be fixed. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THAT COSTS?? Ha Ha!! ALOT! He proceeded to tell us not to try and sand or spray paint the rust, because he would be able to tell. LOL!! He's a real actor and really playing it up. LOL!! Money signs were running around his head. Thankfully, we didn't make any quick decisions and went home. We looked over the list carefully and the car. We took the car to another mechanic who left a message on my VM. "This car does not have any rust on the break lines. The company that makes your car puts a plastic coating on them. LOL!!! We brought back the car to a New Inspection Station, who PASSED the car. We did nothing to the break lines and even they said they were fine. So, you can go here if you want, I will never step foot into his shop nor will I give a great review. He's desperate. Signed - Rusted Break Lines, your a JOKE!! read more

Very good experience. Bob, the owner, was very pleasant to deal with and explained things in lay mans terms so I knew what was happening. He did his best to get the job done by the time I asked and was able to save me as much as he could. My sons truck has now passed inspection and is legal to run now...
