It was another great experience here at Midas. These guys really know what they're doing, and they're always more than fair with pricing and accommodation. I had a tire that got a screw in the side portion and therefore couldn't be replaced. I almost payed about $90 to another company/store for a budget (cheap) tire, then remembered I almost always get road hazard protection and hoped maybe having purchased it here, these guys could give me a better deal. They absolutely did! As a matter of fact, getting a replacement from Tires Plus with the road hazard, I've still payed in the upwards of $90-$100- with even a lot more tread left than I had with this one here! At first impression front counter staff very nice, friendly offered coffee and have a 45min estimate for basic oil change and tire rotation. That is great! After an hour with absence of tires put on I asked how much longer? The response given let me check....15-20 minutes. Little to our knowledge the mechanic forgot to tell us a filter needed to be ordered. After 1hr 50min and a new scratch on my drivers side door I will not be returning to this location. After crying and yelling because of my outrage the owner Joe did offer to fix the scratch because the scratch was not there 1 and 2 was not documented. Why must I take another 2hrs our of my day to fix your careless mistake. Very unsatisfied, go to Jiffy Lube! Would NOT recommend! Could not give less than 1 star so I guess that's what this location gets. I was a repeat customer of this particular Midas. Never again. I left my car overnight for service. I received a call on Monday, when it was supposed to be ready, only to be told that one of their employees had accidentally backed into my car and it was currently at a body shop for repairs. They did not ask me if I had a preference on a body shop and they never gave me the name or the address of the shop. They assured me the damage was minor and the car would be ready on Tuesday. Well the car came back and the repairs were sub-par. Again, they sent my car out to another person for a second pass on the paint job without asking me if I had a preference on the provider. I was upset about the situation but I didn't lose my cool until Friday - a full 5 business days after I originally dropped off my car. I called on Friday during my lunch break for an update and spoke with the owner Todd. He said he needed to check with the body shop and would call me back. At 5pm, the owner still hadn't returned my call. So I call back again as I'm driving home from work and the owner had the audacity to say - "I understand your frustration but if it were me in your shoes, I wouldn't have a problem with it. I would be happy that at least the shop is going above and beyond to make sure the repair is done correctly." No. Let's review. 1. Your employee damaged my car. 2. You sent my car to a shitty body shop that did sub-par work. 3. Then you couldn't be bothered to return my calls after you sent my car to another provider to fix the first shitty repair job. So - yes, we have a BIG problem. I finally got my car back on Friday night at 6:45pm and only because I sat in the Midas office and demanded to speak with the second body shop guy. These guys were amazing!! I brought my car in because the front tire was making a weird clicking sound. I called first and they said I could bring it right in! Within minutes Joe had diagnosed the problem and had the car up in the air. It was an easy fix, they only had to tighten something underneath the wheel. From the first phone call until leaving with my car- everyone I dealt with was professional, friendly, and helpful. My battery cell died while under warranty, but I didn't have my original invoice from a midas 50 miles away- no problem! This store called the other midas, got a copy of the invoice from them and took care of changing the battery immediately. I was convinced it was a bad wheel bearing, so I took it to this MIDAS expecting a repair bill as well as a BIG rental car bill so we could get to Key West. I got neither- THE OWNER put our car on a rack as soon as we got there and found that I had a piece of plastic rubbing my rear tire. He didn't charge us a penny and sent us happily on our way. I just moved to Florida and did not know I had break problems with the car because my original mechanic did not tell me. I took it in and Jason ans the owner was extremely helpful! They found the break issues and even provided me with the parts and the damage when they took the breaks off. They also found a few other issues which they also showed me with the car lifted and not just bs me! Then 2 days later I heard another noise coming from the opposite side of the car. I took it in and they found another issue. In my mind I thought oh boy here we go, they are going to tell me some bs like the other shops that I have to pay more for something else. Jason calls me back and tells me well it looks like it's something with the axel which this wasn't making noise when u left. So it must of been something that was done in between by us. And u need a new one so sinces it's either our fault or we didn't catch it during our inspection we will be responsible for it. We will take care of it for you! Wolves who prey upon sheep. Wanted to charge me $170 for a brake caliper and hose( $90 at any auto parts store). Quoted me $160 for labor, told me it's about 2 hours labor. Fact is it's 20 minutes max to do it yourself, which I actually did, courtesy of Youtube. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I walked in here just for an oil change and afterward the guy came and told me that my air filter was very bad and his tone when he told me was like if he was like an angry parent or something which I thought was a little ridiculous but I just went along with it the guy told me that they did the replacement for the air filters for free and then afterwards I'm being charged over 80 bucks, I told him I thought you said the replacement for the air filter was free? He says I meant for me to install it you think that the actually part is free? And his tone was super rude like if I was stupid for asking, they ended up charging me way more than I expected and didn't explain to me that there would be a cabin air filter replacement as well or ever told me that the cost would be 25.00 to get them replaced, just made it seem like they would do it for free, that's not really good way to go. Why not explain to the customer what you are gonna do and how much it's gonna be some people don't just have money laying around that they can spend like that, I give it less than a star cause the communication here was terrible, I didn't say much to try and keep my composure but I am a women as well and I feel like these people took advantage of that cause I didn't know that much about cars and they clearly saw that. This Midas Muffler facility is the best repair shop in South Florida. I have taken my car to Joe for different repairs that were not diagnosed properly by other shops and even the Cadillac dealer was stumped with my leaves problem. Joe was able find the problem, order the part and fix the vehicle in record time. I was having problems with my vehicle's speed being limited due to a problem with the suspension system. I would highly recommend this shop for repairs on any vehicle as I see all types of cars there and have spoke with the different owners and they all say the same thing. Staff is friendly & helpful. Was having problems with car not starting. Since battery was new in 2/2017, I didnt think it was that, tho'we were having to jump the car to get it to start. Got an estimate for diagnostic. Went on my lunch. They tested it & the battery was "toast". Since they were a dealer for the same brand in my car, they were able to swap it out under warranty. Great customer service, friendly staff, and, most important, these guys are honest! If your car doesn't need a fix, they will tell you right away. Used to go to the Meineke close to Publix, on Wilton Drive, and got sick of being recommended to change "all four tires" when it wasn't exactly needed at that moment. Midas is an Interstate battery dealer. The Interstate battery in my car is failing, and has 2 yrs left on the warranty. When shopping around I found that all authorized dealers should honor the Interstate warranty regardless where you purchased the original battery. Not only would Midas not honor the remaining balance of the warranty, their price for a 2 yr battery was $179,by far the highest price (others prices ranged from $119-138. read more

This is my very first review and I now realize that I should have written this 3 yrs ago. I currently find myself searching and reading reviews on every mechanic in town due to my experience with Midas in Fort Lauderdale. In 2010, I brought my vehicle in to replace my valve cover gasket and a simple tune-up. I walked out the door with a bill of $900.00. Come to find out in 2011, a mobile mechanic showed me the crack that still remains in the valve cover gasket and it still had the original spark plugs and wires! They only sealed the crack in the valve cover gasket! It's not the cost that still hurts me, it's the fact that I trusted them for 1 1/2 years of maintenance prior to this incident. I was, and still am, a single female that just moved to that area, they knew that I had to save my money for the cost of this repair for over 6 months. My valve cover gasket still has not been replaced because I can't afford it. I recently went to another location thinking it could of just been that particular store and was given an estimate $300 more than 10 other local mechanics to replace my timing belt. Safe to say, I'd never give this chain a second chance and would never recommend a Midas store to anyone. I wish I could say different. I brought in my 1992 Mercedes 500sl because the radiator light was on. Sears couldn't help and said go to Midas. Midas said they can't help because they close a 4 and its 3:50, so as I started to leave a mechanic ran after me and told me I can't leave because it will destroy the car. They opened the hood to check and it was out of fluid but all I needed was a new cap! The cap broke! What an honest place and great mechanics to stop me from leaving! I would recommend them to anybody and will bring my car back as they work on late model cars! They only charged me $20 for the part. Awesome place and honest! read more
