They keep saying they have to talk to this person and that person, now all communication has disappeared ( like we never were a customer ). Took my GMC Terrain in for issue of running hot after another company did a radiator and coolant flush. The guys took the time to look at it and make sure that the fluids had been added correctly, topped them off because they were low and made sure she wouldn't over heat before I left the store. They also took the time to look up the information on carfax to see if the other place had put on there the repairs done to see if a new thermostat had been put in with flush. Also let me know about a recall from the government on my headlights and wrote down the information and told me where I can go to get them fixed. Also I asked for an oil change not realizing I recently had one, so they did not just do it and charge me for something I didn't need. My daughter's car had an exhaust leak so I sent my 18 year old daughter there about 15 minutes ahead of me so they could get it on the rack and get an estimate quicker. I want to be very clear here, this was a simple tailpipe break about 3 inches behind the muffler. Both pipes still touched, it could have been welded in about 10 minutes, it could have been fixed numerous ways in minutes. They gave her a quote of almost $900! Please see my attachment. Napa, right next door to Midas, sells the muffler with the entire pipe back to the catalytic converter for $120. I bought that and fixed it myself in about 45 minutes. To give some perspective, I bought a stainless steel, dual pipe, Flow Master with dual performance mufflers and had it installed on my 1500 GMC for about $150 more than this quote to replace a single, stock muffler and 3 feet of pipe on a Nissan Versa. I don't know if they just thought they could take advantage of a young girl or if they are just highway robbers to everyone. Either way you should stay well away from these guys. read more

We were travelling across country when our muffler fell off, on the interstate, near Columbus Ohio. Fortunately, we noticed it immediately and were able to temporarily tie it up. We got off at the next exit and located a Midas (The store in Grove City Ohio) expecting to have repairs made the next day. The crew at Grove City Midas were EXCELPTIONAL!!! They had the problem fixed and we were on our way in minutes. It turned out that the muffler had simply fallen off of the bracket. They didn't even charge us for the quick repair. Knowing full well that we were travelling and completely at their mercy they could have really taken advantage of our situation. WHAT EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!! All too uncommon in this day. I called these guys around 5:20 PM, as I had a screw stuck in the middle of my tire tread. Hurried in around 5:40 PM, since they closed at 6 PM. They quickly patched me up and had me out the door a few minutes after closing time! The staff there is very courteous and helpful. Didn't charge me a dime either. The next time I need out of warranty type repair that my dealer can't perform I will go back to Midas for sure. While at valvoline, they confirmed there was a leak of steering fluid but weren't sure where. I called around for shops to get me in same day. On my 3rd call I called Midas and they said they could get me in same day. The hose had been loose so they tightened it up, filled up the fluid and then found the new wiper I purchased at valvoline and changed it out for me. They went above and beyond and would not let me pay a dime. They had such quick service and great customer service. I will be going back to them in the future if needed! Highly recommend! read more

I took my Nissan Sentra for wheel alignment, I signed a document authorizing repair and my commitment to pay $89 plus taxes for the service. I showed up an hour later to pick up my car only to find out that my car had been damaged by the same professionals who were suppose to fix the alignment, they broke the Right Front Axle- Shaft and lied to me that my Axle broke down while one of their associate was trying to drive the car to the ramp. They did not even apologize but instead, they gave me a new estimate cost of $662.93 to fix what they broke. I paid $102 to get my car towed to my apartment while i seek for legal action against this company. Don't fix your car here, they will mess you up. Not a good place, one star is too much! read more

Took my car in to have the front brake pads replaced as I' d been hearing them squeeking. I also had a 50% off coupon which would have made the total half. Before I presented the coupon I was told that the total was $139. After the inspection, I was told that both front and back brake pads needed to be replaced and that the total was $270. I said fine and that I had a 50% off coupon. It was then that I was told, "Oh we automatically took the coupon off so the total after the coupon is $270." Nowhere on the coupon did it state that it would be "automatically applied." Will not be returning to this place as I don't appreciate the bait and switch. read more

THEY JACKED UP MY HUSBANDS CAR!!!!!!!! He went in for brake pads. Came out with NO emergency brake??? He took the car back in to get it "fixed". It does work again but not the same as it did before going to Midas. Not to mention the new brakes feel like the ABS is on all the time. The brakes pump constantly when being applied. I do NOT feel safe in this car after taking it to Midas. read more

Got four rotors and four sets of brake pads in January, cost was $550. Eight months later I brought my car back to check noise in my brakes. They said i need two sets of calipers and two rotors, cost $690. I got a second opinion from the Honda dealer, brakes are perfectly fine, cost $0. I will never go back to Midas. Last Friday I was leaving work and noticed a really loud sound coming from my jeep. Unfortunately, my fiancé is deployed and I am beyond clueless with car troubles. I believed it was coming from my muffler but was unsure, so I called Midas and spoke with a gentleman named Nate who was so helpful! He listened to my concerns and told me I could bring my jeep in the following day and he would look at it. I dropped my jeep off a little early and was greeted by Nate who was very friendly and helpful. The Midas crew was able to look at my jeep even before my appointment and correct the problem. They were straight forward, no gimmicks, professional and so courteous. I was so grateful for their assistance and would 100% recommend this location to all! For anything other than an oil change, they can get a bit pricy, but that is going to happen with a chain mechanic. The Midas credit card will give you 6 months with no interest to pay for charges over $199. The thing that brings me back is the staff. When I was there 8 months ago, they could have told me that both sets of brakes needed fixed, but they did not do that. They suggested postponing the rear brakes because they still had some life in them. I just came back in to have the rear brakes done, plus an oil change and the manager remembers me. I called Midas on stringtown road and spoke to "Shawn." I told him there was something going on with my front end and would like to have it diagnosed. He told me he could have it diagnosed in an hour and it would be $50.00, he urged me to get it there ASAP. At the time my wife was driving the car to school. Due to his urges availability she left school 3 hours early to bring the car in. Previous to bringing in the car "Shawn" had no way of knowing who my wife was or what car my call was associated with. She took the car to Midas arriving at 10:02, I know this from the call log because she called me before walking in. She text me back at 10:07, 5 minutes have lapsed before I last spoke to her. She advised me that it's not as much as I thought and felt Shawn was attempting to get her to sign paperwork she didint understand. Shawn told her it could take 10 hours at $150 an hour. I was already headed that way to meet her because we intended to have the vehicle serviced. She urged me to hurry. When arrived, I asked Sean why the price difference and he said "I don't want to service your car, we don't work for free, I just spent 30 minutes with your wife" and asked me to leave. This with a lobby full of customers. I left the store because to me it was clear he was taking advantage of my wife's lack of knowledge due to her sex. I recorded reentering the store to gather information. In the video, "Shawn" who identified himself as the store owner attempts to retreat on his previous claim fabricating that the car wouldint start and offered to "throw it on the rack", I declined and gathered information and left. I intend to leave feedback everywhere I can. It's clear at least this location is praying on people. When looking for services as a consumer, you seek them out because you aren't knowledgeable in that area as my wife was, so you rely and trust that you are being guided with the best of intent, what a let down this experience was. The district manager later called me and apologized. Regardless don't waste your time. read more

Took my car to get inspected before my daughter started to drive. They quoted me a bunch of stuff that I didn't need and told me to replace brakes and rotor parts that had been completed only 15,000 miles prior. The icing on the cake was that I had them done there before, but they couldn't find my information in the computer until I specifically brought it to their attention. They seemed to prefer showing each other funny things on their cellphones vs. working on the vehicle in front of them. I had my car towed to Midas in Grove City to get a new alternator - closest place my roadside assistance would take me. I was charged $500 for a refurbished alternator ($250 max at Advanced Auto -where they got the part) and $70 for a $25 alternator belt. I was taken advantage of because it was obvious that without a running vehicle, you cannot go somewhere else. Both parts are 100% + markup? Is that how Midas does business??? I called the location and the manger refused to give me any info about the markup, but did tell me where the part was purchased. I called the District Manager - no response.
