This place is run like an absolute mess. I arrived at 10:45 and was told that I needed a tire repair and a tire replacement for both drivers side tires on my 2021 Chevy Trax LT AWD. I was quoted 224 dollars for the service, and was told it would be done by 1:00. The assistant manager Hunter then told me at 1:15 (they only started working in my vehicle at 1:00) that they could not repair my tire as "someone has already repaired it," (which is untrue as I've only had the tire less than a year and have never had it repaired) and that I needed to buy another new tire. So now I've had to pay 450 dollars. I had to wait another hour for my vehicle to be completed. Once I got back in the vehicle, my tire pressure light was on, and my dash said "tire pressure monitor system maintenance required." When I came this morning, I had no lights or warnings on my dash. The service tech (I believe his name was Titus) then lied to me, saying that he had to "re-learn" the tire pressure sensors to the car, and that the passenger side rear tire pressure sensor was dead. I told him this was impossible, as I had them replaced in January of this year at the dealership. The assistant manager Hunter then checked my vehicle, and told me that the service tech (Titus?) never "re-learned" the sensors to the vehicle, and that he had to do it himself! TLDR: This Discount Tire will overcharge you, lie to you, avoid any accountability, and disrespect your time. Go anywhere but here. read more

They "helped" schedule an appointment to align/balance car tires they put on that had the car vibrating at 40+ miles per hour. We got there and the guy who does this work wasn't even in at that time so we had to reschedule again and when it was "fixed" the car cannot go over 60 without the same vibration so they didn't do it properly. read more

Nobody ever answers the phone there. Dropped the car off Sunday and it's now Wednesday and we paid the next day. Wednesday afternoon our daughter came all the way down from Bucyrus to pick up her car and nobody was even at the desk. We tried to call them numerous times and they finally said that the car was ready, only to find out that nobody has even worked on it and it has been two days since we dropped it off! We drove up for a simple air check. There were only 2 cars in the bay and at least 6 employees that I could see. 3 working on the 2 cars, and the other 3 walking around trying to look busy. I'm a patient person, so I didn't mind waiting. However, I sat there for about 5 minutes while I made eye contact with 4 of the employees, none of which acknowledged me. A simple "I'll be with you in a few minutes" would've sufficed. Instead I got several "eat shit" looks. I finally got out and asked one of the guys if I just needed to do it myself. He said he'd rather not have a lady do it herself, so he'd have "one of those butt heads" (his words) do it for me. The employee with the mustache (you know who you are) made a very exaggerated, inconvenienced face to his buddy before approaching my car and just opening my driver door like an idiot. No introduction, no apology about the blatant ignoring. I've never driven up to a Discount Tire and heard rap music blaring in the bay, throwing the word "fuck" around. Nothing about this place is professional or Christian. Do yourself a favor and avoid it. Find someplace else. read more

I just purchased a $205 tire at discount tire located at 1710 Stringtown Rd from Bryce Meerschaert , assistant manager. He was polite, but did not go over the itemized bill before i inserted my credit card into the machine. Absolutely my fault for not asking for the breakdown of $293.58. After picking up my car, I looked at my invoice and it had a $40.60 charge for a warranty that I did not agree to and it wasn't even discussed. Back into the discount tire I went and asked Bryce why the charge wasn't discussed and that I wanted it taken off my bill. He apologized and said he would take it off however he didn't address the fact that he didn't advise me of the charge at the time of service Again, my fault for not asking for a breakdown when he ran my credit card. There were several elderly people in the facility and I was wondering, did he do the same to them and would they catch it after the fact? Had a tire issue while traveling through this city. It was so bad, myself and family spent the night so I could get it repaired the next day and not risk breaking down on the road. Called this place before they opened the next morning and was pleasantly surprised when someone answered the phone. I explained my tire issue and was again surprised when I was told they could fix it and have me in and out if I got there right away. I was right around the center so I made it to their spot in less than 10 minutes. They checked me in and said they'd get to it and have me out by 915 because there were only 4 people ahead of me and the cost was very reasonable. I'm thinking I need to buy a lottery ticket as my luck had changed for the better, or so I thought. The "only 4 people ahead of me" quickly turned in to everyone in the store and everyone who comes in to the store was ahead of me. There were at least 10 customer who came in to the store behind me and their vehicles were all serviced before mine. Additionally, there were about six people in the store when I arrive, only 1 left by the time my issue was addressed and the car returned to me. I understand some customers have appointments and should receive service at the agreed upon appointment time. No way I'm believing that of the nearly 10 people that came in after me, every one of them had appointments? My issue took all of 15 minutes to address and repair. Not sure why everyone else's issues were more important than mine? I am pleased that it was addressed and repaired, no one likes to feel or be discounted especially when they already have your money and your keys. Mom used to say, be honest in all you do but if there's ever a question or an uncertainty, under promise and over deliver. I would've been fine if they'd said it wasn't going to be ready until 10 and I got it back at 950, but I'm not good when you give me a time then, deliver it much later than the time you said. Got two rear tires replaced and the entire process was a nightmare. First, our appointment was at 11 and they were not able to take the car until 11:45. Then when we left, they did not balance them properly so the car was rattling. So we took it back for a rebalancing. We got the car back home and noticed that they put one of the tires on backwards. So, we had to take it back again and wait all over again so they could switch and rebalance. It's kind of scary how many times the tires were looked at by different people and they didn't realize that it was on backwards. All in all, it took like 8 hours of our time to get two tires replaced. We won't be coming back ever! read more

I was on a roadtrip south, when my tire sensor alert went off. Siri sent me to Discount Tire Co and I'm so glad it did. The manager who greeted me was warm and friendly, asked for a description of the problem, and then inspected my tire. He told me there were 3 in front of me, and when asked, gave me a reference of where to eat while I waited. After eating, I came back the mechanic, Bailey, stopped out and gave me an update that they couldn't find anything wrong and the sensor must be overheating. They did change the sensor on the tire and sent me on my way. They said there was no charge for checking tires and I was glad to hear the franchise opened in Pittsburgh so I'll be going there in the future. My wife got a nail in her tire on her way home from work last night (11.21.19). I work out of town (will not be home for the next three days) and she is not terrible mechinacally inclined so this was a huge problem. She got there at about 5:45 (they close at 6:00) fully prepared to not be able to get her tire fixed until tomorrow. The staff insisted that they would fix her tire on the spot! My wife was very concerned because she did not want the employees to have to stay late because of her, but the staff was adamant that they would fix her tire before they went home. Ordered and paid for tires online and made a Saturday appt for installation. Day of installation 8 days later they call me and say my tires are not there. I find it hard to believe that it takes 2 weeks for tires to move from their warehouse?? to a store, its ridiculous! When i asked if they could just put air in my tire, he looked at it said it need changed due to the damage. He then asked if i had a spare and he and Stewart changed it out for me. AT NO CHARGE!! Unfortunately they were closed but I thought I would appeal to their "dumb guy needs help" weakness and sure enough one of the employees unlocked the door. Such great service! I had a flat tire in grove city on a horribly cold evening. Roadside assistance quoted me three hours before they could get there. I called two nearby tire shops and both said they couldn't help me because they were closing in 15 minutes. I called Discount Tire and the rep said to head on over and they'd help me out. I asked what time they closed and he said 10 minutes from now but that I should not hurry because they'd be there to help me and I should drive carefully on my flat. I got there right as they closed. Each and every employee was amazingly nice - smiling, offering me something to drink, chatting. Never once did I feel any kind of exasperation for coming in just as they closed. They were unable to repair my tire (probably due to my driving on he flat) but replaced it for a really decent price. There were no pressured upsale and it was done within 20 minutes.) These guys were amazing and I'm going there next time I need tires. So I went to Discount Tires today. Had a tire on my 2013 handi Elantra changed. I left for 3 hours they said they would text me I never got a text. I walked back they say I'm sorry were you the one waiting on the Elantra. Said you didn't look like ann so I didn't ask. I said you were supposed to text me when my car was finished guy at the front desk apologize. I went out to get my car tire sign was and said my tire was flat the sensor it didn't restart yet. I asked the mechanic if you could check my tire pressure and instead of checking my pressure for me to make sure all my tires were good. The guy said he did check my tire pressure I said okay. I made it home check my tires and the tire they changed is extremely low but he just threw it on and didn't even fill it up much. After taking my SUV to Toyota and getting told a list of things were wrong and needed to be replaced, amounting to at least $800. I decided to be smart and take my vehicle over to discount tire instead. Needless to say I gave the info Toyota gave me to them, they took a look at my vehicle, just to find out that nothing needed to be replaced. They just needed to clean one of my tire pressure sensors off and I was good to go. And since this entire procedure only took all of 15min, they didn't charge me a dime. After having this amazing experience when I saw that my tire pressure light was coming on more frequently than it should I didn't even bother with Toyota, I immediately when to discount tire. They took a look and found that one of my tires that had been plugged was slowly coming undone. Ordered me a new tire and put my spare on. Can't remember if it was the next day or the day after, I brought my car in and and took care of the rest. Put the new tire on and did a rotation for me, and put my spare back in my cargo area. Everything was as simply and easy as it could be. I honestly couldn't ask for better people to entrust servicing my car with. I made my appointment online for a flat repair dropped off my van a few hours early and got my works done text before my appointment was even scheduled it seemed pretty busy so I was happy to get done so quickly. Really the fact that this business both will check and fill up low tires and fix repairable road hazards at no cost is 100% the reason I will be back for new tires when the time is right. Poor customer service by this 1710 Stringtown Rd. store and Justin. My wife took her car in for a tire rotation and balance on all 4 tires on 3/23/16. When I called to get a price quote Justin quoted me 7.50 per tire, we scheduled an appointment. When the job was completed they charged my wife $10.00 per tire. After she returned home she informed me of this so I called and spoke to Justin and explained to him that they charged the wrong amount. Justin apologized and said he would refund the overage once my wife came bake for the receipt that they forgot to give her in the first place. My wife returned and spoke to Justin, he explained that he wasn't going to refund the additional amount she paid over his quoted price on the phone and that it's a computer system issue and that just the way it is. This is a serious lack of customer service that destroys businesses. When I spoke to Justin on the phone I explained it wasn't over the money but was the principle of the matter. He told my wife that I said that so it appeared he took that as there is no need to refund the overpaid amount. We all know there are many ways to make things that went wrong, right again.
