My husband went to this location today to purchase tires for his car and get an oil change. While waiting for his car to be serviced, he located cheaper tires at another business. Therefore, he notified the Service Manager (SR) of the info. The SR researched their computer and informed my husband that they could not beat the price of the tires he located online. Afterward, the SR informed the service advisor to only do the oil change. The service advisor became argumentative with my husband and wanted to know why he no longer wanted the tires. He asked my husband who was going to compensate him for the gas he used to pick up the tires? His behavior was unprofessional and his tone was disrespectful. As a customer you have every right to change your mind before service has started on your vehicle. His gas and the company's responsibility is not our issue. I will never patronize another Midas location and I question their ethics. read more

Dropped My Vehicle Off For A Quick Tire Swap & A Noise Diagnostic. A Day Later After Not Receiving A Call From Them All Day I Go Up There To Retrieve My Vehicle & It's No Longer Blowing Cold Air. Was Told My A/C Compressor Blew Even Though 24 Hours Ago It Was Blowing Just Fine. Upon bringing in my vehicle for an oil change, they informed me they don't have my oil. I didn't put too much into it and just went with what they suggested I use. When my car was finished, I received a list of things I need done to fix my car. Tie rods, struts, oil leak...so i brought my car to my mechanic. None of these repairs are needed on my vehicle. They lie to get you to pay for more work that's totally unnecessary. On top of that, my friend today went here, they told her the same thing, they didn't have her oil, up charged her 40 dollars more than what she should have paid. Makes me wonder do they tell everyone they don't have their oil? Scammers at best. Wouldn't recommend ANYONE to bring their vehicle here for ANYTHING. read more

I purchased a Groupon to try out Midas for oil changes on my vehicle, upon arriving I was met by very rude staff. There was political news playing in the lobby, which was very unwelcoming and unprofessional. I set an appointment for an oil change and ended up sitting for an hour and my vehicle still had not been serviced by anyone. I refused service after seeing how poorly they were treating every customer and how dishonest they were in their business practices.. (i.e., charging additional fees upon arriving, charging customers for services they did not receive, charging customers for services performed that were not necessary and could have been avoided.) after politely declining services, I requested an email to confirm no services were rendered. The gentleman at the front desk said word for word "I do not have to send you an email, you do not matter" I was then very rudely asked to leave, simply because I declined their service. I would NOT ever recommend anyone shop here due to this interaction. I'm not sure how this place has 5 stars. I was asked if I wanted conventional synthetic oil, when I paid for high mileage oil. I read on a Google review that someone else purchased high mileage and did not receive what they paid for. Please, please, please do NOT do business here. read more

I brought my car in for an oil change on Wednesday, June 21st because I found a coupon. When I picked it up it seemed to run fine until it cut off down the street from the store at the red light, less than a block from the store. My son got out and walked back to the store to have them look at it. One of the associates, Terry, came out and looked at it. He stated that it was loose battery cables. He went to get his tools and came back. He still could not get it running. He said he would be right back, and my son and I sat in traffic for another 15-20 minutes waiting for him. We called back up to the store and was told by Daniel that he could not have his employees working in traffic. He did send another associate out to look at it. After he could not get it running, we were told that we would have to call a tow. At my expense, I had to have the car towed back to Midas. The next morning, Daniel called me and told me that he had the opportunity to look at it the night before and it was the battery. He said he didn't think it was the alternator. I was told that it would be $200 plus to get it fixed. I called the store after I got off work and inquired about the status and I was told that Daniel was working on it, and he would call me back. I never received a call that night. The next morning, I called Midas around 11:30 am and again inquired about my car. I was told that it was ready; they replaced the battery but there was a slight knock in the engine. When I got off work and picked it up, the knock was SO loud that I took it to the shop next door because at this point, I did not trust Midas; my car only came in for an oil change and it was not knocking prior to them touching I; and it was not noted in any of the paperwork that there was a knock. The shop next door advised me that I needed a new engine! I spoke to my boyfriend, who was out of town driving trucks, and he called and talked to Brandon to let him know that he would be coming in to address the situation. We had the car towed back to the shop and on Monday my boyfriend went up there and spoke to Brandon. He refused to give him the corporate number or the number of someone above him. He suggested that we take the car to Hyundai. He said that the store manager would be in on Tuesday. Today when he went back to Midas, he did not get any results from his conversation with Daniel. Daniel also refused to give him the number of the person over him or the corporate's number. I am a single parent with no car now. This is a car that I still owe 16,000 dollars on and I cannot afford to pay 5000 more dollars for something that is not my fault; especially considering that I have paid for an oil change and a battery that I obviously did not need. During the conversation with my boyfriend, Daniel was really condescending. He stated that they do their checks, which I find impossible because if that had been done how did they miss that the battery needed to be replaced initially. My coupon stated that they were supposed to perform a Closer Look Vehicle Check which included the visual brake check, battery, air filter, fluid, belts, and hoses. He stated that he oversees all their work, but how can that be possible when he's inside signing customers in and taking phone calls and complaints! Since he did not want to give us anyone's number it is obvious, he does not want to accept responsibility. The conversation ended when Daniel advised my boyfriend to have our lawyer call his lawyer. read more

This Midas facility has trustworthy personnel. We were driving to Captiva, Florida on August 19 when the A/C on our 2007 MB R500 was not working. So we stopped at the Florida welcoming center on I-95. The dilemma was who to call. Since I had good service from our local Midas dealer in Leesburg, VA, I called the closest Midas facility and it was on Lem Turner Road. I spoke with the manager, Richard A. who was very helpful and said that he will look at the problem right away once I got there. Once there, sure enough within minutes Richard brought the car into the bay and within 10 minutes he advised me that the electronic "Auto" button was not working and showed me how to use the other buttons on the dash to control the A/C. To top it off he did not charge me. If I was a resident of Jacksonville I would certainly use the Midas facility for all of my repairs. read more

For the last couple of years I've had my cars serviced at this Midas. Service was adequate or else I wouldn't have kept coming back. One of my cars, a 2007 Acura, started having steering issues (steering very stiff) and started making a noise. I went in for an oil change and asked them to check my power steer pump. The mechanic suggested I replace it, which they did. Problem is, that's all he did. It worked ok for about 3 weeks, the sound never completely went away, then suddenly it became louder and the steering got stiff again. Although I paid Midas $600 for the pump, I took it to a Honda dealership for their diagnosis. They found a leaking pressure hose among other issues. I knew I was going to have to eat that $600 to get my car fixed correctly. Another power steering pump, drive belt, tensioner and they bled the system which is what Midas should have done. Cost me another $1000. She now runs like an Acura with 150k miles on it should! I'd trust Midas for simple things like an oil change and tires. Anything more serious, beware. read more

Do not shop here! We we're overcharged for a brake job and charged for new parts which were never installed. Nice people but very disappointing service. Before you let them do work get a second opinion. And be sure to ask to look at your old parts. read more

Driving home Friday on I95 65 mph my car started vibrating. I pulled over to find my rear tire had separated from the rim. I called my husband and he just happened to be behind me. Saturday I had to find tires Stat as I had dr appts and medical tests Monday and Tuesday. I had very little time to shop. I found Midas on Lem Turner. They got the tires needed for my Mustang GT. The best customer service ever. I am a customer for life. The dealer didn't even call me bsck. The other places didn't have my size tire. They were courteous. Pls give them your business. read more
