    Do not visit the location in "Alderwood" for anything. The car wash here is damaging. We had our…read moreantenna ripped off and a previous van dented. These things happen and are not uncommon. On a beautiful Saturday the Lynnwood locations car wash was unfortunately closed. Against our better judgement we went to the dreaded Alderwood location to clean our son's car. The car wash started and immediately the middle of the windshield cracked and then spidered into the entire windshield. We reported the incident immediately and took several photos. There was no manager on duty on a Saturday? We then contacted him first thing Monday morning. He insisted we drive the car back where he told us the crack was in the inside...hmm. I guess not only is he a weekday manager but also a glass expert. We have tried several times to get anyone (else) to return our calls to no avail and there is apparently no other manager to talk to at anytime onsite. Our insurance has told us they will not cover it as it is considered third party damage. Not to mention at time of purchase on the inspection of the vehicle no windshield damage was found. So my (Autistic) 16 year old is left with a car that is illegal to drive. Thanks Levine family, we will never use your company again. We will now determine if this is worth pursuing in small claims court.

    DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!! I would give them zero stars if I could…read more TLDR: Lied to us about a diagnosis and tried scamming us out of $1700 to replace a radiator cap My wifes jeep has been leaking coolant from the radiator, and scheduled with them to get it diagnosed and repaired First thing, is they accepted the jeep and didn't inform my wife that they don't offer radiator repairs, Which is literally what my wife brought the vehicle in for. luckily My wife gave them my number to discuss pickup and costs. Called them later on that day to figure out what was going on. The confirmed there was a leak in the radiator, and it needed to be replaced, and once they were doing that they would check the Waterpump and see if there is an issue there. Cost to replace the radiator is $1700 dollars. I asked them in multiple ways if they can just repair the leak, or weld it - they said they cant weld it because most radiators are made of plastic ( should raised alarm bells here as they said this because mine is aluminum, not an ounce of plastic on it, proving they didn't check my radiator) and just pushed the need to get the repair while they have the vehicle open and ready to work on. I told them that was out of our budget and they tried lowering it to accommodate us- seemed at the time like a nice thing of them to do. I picked it up, paid a little over $200 for the diagnosis and drove it home. I bought a new radiator for $200 and started to take the old one out, and noticed it was bone dry. So I rented a radiator pressure tester kit for free from Autozone (they get 5 stars) and did a 3 minute test on the pressure for the radiator to find the leak- at 2 psi the radiator cap was squirting water and coolant everywhere (mind you, you don't have to take ANYTHING apart to do this test). I went and got a 10 dollar replacement radiator cap, put it on my radiator, and redid the test to try to find the leak.... and it held at 12 psi without dropping, no leaks found. drove the vehicle around and redid the test, no leaks. held its psi. This test I did involved literally doing nothing other than putting a hand pump into the coolant resevoir and pumping..... and I discovered the source of the leak in less than 3 minutes They had the vehicle for an entire day, confirmed on the phone with me that there was a non-repairable crack in the radiator causing the leak, and that it needs to be replaced for $1700, and when i told them that was too much, tried to get me for less money pushing for the repair. NO matter how I think of it from another perspective or angle, there is literally no way an auto shop can, first, accept a car FOR REPAIR, and then after Having it for a day tell us they dont do the repair we brought the car in for in the first place. BUT furthermore, tell us there is a leak in a radiator that is unrepairable and then say it NEEDS to be replaced for 1700. And it took me, a man who is NOT a mechanic, 3 minutes to find out there is in fact zero leaks in the radiator, and the problem is a damaged cap that costs 10 dollars to replace. I see no way those events happen unless they are trying to screw someone over and scam money. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!

The team at Alderwood Auto Repair was extremely responsive and both diagnosed and repaired our car in time for us to get it back prior to our departure. Just quick help to keep your vehicle running strong. (Antifreeze not included in the free refill program.)" The first guy didn't even know how to open my hood. The second guy reluctantly did so, then came to my window and said, "just so you know, we don't do top off's here." I told him that I had specifically checked the website before coming to ensure that Grease Monkey does this and his reply was "well, the website is wrong. You are only entitles to a 1 quart oil top-off during a service, not other top off's anytime. Besides, we aren't set up to do that anyway." I told him I also go to Kenmore and they don't have any problems with it since it IS Grease Monkey's policy, they just fill a jug and bring the fluid to the car if the bay is full." His reply "well, go there then. We don't do that here." and proceeded to walk away. Think outside the box, buddy, and know your work policies. 1 star at best for the 1-time semi top-off of wiper fluid. Zero stars for customer service. Won't be back. Won't refer anyone to this location. Wouldn't trust them with any other services either.

From the moment my car was towed in, everyone I spoke with was professional, respectful, and kind. Even though I couldn't be there in person, they kept me updated, called me when the car was ready, and made the whole process really smooth and efficient. I especially want to recognize Malick. When we talked about the tire replacement, the initial estimate was over $200 because I didn't have the previous purchase documentation with me -- I share the car with a relative, so I didn't have all the details on hand. I asked if he could take another look at the account, and he was very willing to do so. He took the time to go through the history, found notes indicating the contract was acceptable, and honored them once he confirmed everything. I really appreciated his patience and the care he put into making sure everything was accurate. He was respectful and helpful throughout the whole conversation, and thanks to his extra effort, the cost ended up being just labor. The whole team was wonderful to work with, and Malick's extra attention made the experience even better. This letter is intended to document the facts clearly, preserve the timeline, and provide Discount Tire the opportunity to resolve the matter before I pursue additional remedies. Timeline of Events December 17, 2025 I brought my vehicle to the Lynnwood location for a new tire. Prior to service, I explicitly asked whether black wheel weights would be used. I was told yes. Due to heavy rain at pickup, I could not immediately inspect the work. The following day, I discovered: * Black wheel weights were not used * A lug nut cover was missing * A valve stem was missing While the missing items themselves are minor, the failure to disclose them is not. Had I been informed at the time of service, this would have been a non-issue. December 18, 2025 I contacted the Lynnwood store and spoke with Ryan, who advised me to visit the Everett location to correct the issue. I specifically asked whether I would be "in and out," explaining that I recently had back surgery and could not tolerate extended wait times. I was assured that it would be quick. Upon arrival at the Everett location, I was informed the wait would be approximately 90 minutes. When I explained what I had been told, Norman stated that Ryan had not communicated any request regarding wait time or urgency. The unavoidable conclusion--based solely on the information provided to me by your staff--is that I was given inaccurate or misleading information to get me out of one store and into another. Core Issue (So There's No Confusion) This complaint is not about: * Black wheel weights * Missing parts * Even the wait itself It is about: * Failure to communicate material facts to a customer * Inter-store misrepresentation * A lack of accountability when errors occur * A customer being placed in physical discomfort due to inaccurate assurances At best, this reflects systemic communication failures. At worst, it reflects knowingly inaccurate representations made to avoid responsibility. Neither is acceptable. Business & Reputational Concern Discount Tire's brand relies heavily on trust, consistency, and word-of-mouth. Situations like this--especially when well-documented--are exactly the type that escalate quickly in public forums. I would much prefer to resolve this privately and professionally rather than explain, in detail, how a customer recovering from surgery was sent on a multi-store scavenger hunt due to internal communication failures. I am confident your legal, customer relations, and PR teams would agree this is not the narrative Discount Tire wants circulating. Requested Resolution I am requesting the following: 1. Written acknowledgment of the service failures and miscommunication 2. Correction or replacement of missing items at no cost 3. A goodwill credit or refund reflecting the inconvenience, time loss, and physical strain caused 4. Assurance that inter-store communication protocols are being addressed so this does not happen again Closing I have been a Discount Tire customer because I expect professionalism and transparency. This experience fell well below that standard. I am giving Discount Tire the opportunity to make this right promptly.
