This is the most pathetic mechanic shop out there. I brought my car in for an oil change and the guy was bsing me about all these problems in my car such as leak in the oil pan bad catalytic converter can damaged hoses etc. Meanwhile he didnt point out that there was an OBVOIUS EXHAUST LEAK IN MY CAR THATS BEEN THERE FOR MONTHS!!!!!!! its obvious that if anyone were to start my car up it makes a loud rumble noise while you drive it etc. He made me spend so much money on other parts meanwhile didnt even mention the most obvious problem with my car. I spent over $3,000 on parts a new exhaust system is around that much money. Now my car is eating up a lot of gas and im not gonna pass inspection. Please dont go here. My car broke down in the parking lot, so I did not have much of a choice in where I should go. They charged me 350 dollars for a new battery. Absolute scam, the guy was even trying to explain to me why it was so expensive. In hindsight I should've had it towed from their shop to another one . read more

Made a 930 appt for oil change and inspection. Was told they were running 45 min behind. After he if waiting and car still sitting in lot I told them I would need car in another 1hr and half. Front desk said it would be done by then. Could care less. Wasted morning. Why make appointments if you can not honor them??? Terrible service.... read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! I've brought my car to Midas for the past 4 years now. Initially I was impressed with the service reminders, however now I question their motives because every time I've needed a simple oil change, I was told that more services were required or I'd be looking to pay a lot more for repairs later. These services ranged from a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars. I have a very reliable car and a short commute so, in retrospect, that should have been a red flag. During one of my last "recommended repairs" I watched the repair person fling my wheel cover to the ground and it broke. I complained but instead of an apology I was told that they were cheap and I should just order a good set on line. I also went home with a broken emergency brake, which worked perfectly when I dropped the car off (I know this because I use it regularly). When I spoke with the manager I was told he'd have to take the entire car apart to figure out what happened which could take all day. I brought it in, but they still weren't able to fix it and said they needed more time. After another attempt - it's still broken. The kicker was that I was also told that they detected another problem with the car that was causing damage to my tires and the repair would cost between $1000 - $1500. I wouldn't be writing this review if it weren't for the fact that I brought it to another shop, just to be certain, and thank God I did since they confirmed that I only needed two new front tires and an alignment - my bill from them was less than $350!! Shame on you Midas for your unethical business practices! From now on, I'm going to Sunoco Hughes in Yonkers - they're honest, have fantastic prices and outstanding customer service. read more

They changed my brakes last year and forgot to put my wheel lock back in. I went to go get my tires changed and found out that there was no wheel lock. I called Midas and they wanted to charge me for removing the locks even though they screwed up and lost my wheel lock. Won't be using this location again! read more

Can you give negative stars?! This place is horrible! When I first walked in the "manager" Brandon was on the phone with someone for about 25 minutes before he even acknowledged that I was in the office, he was being to degrading to whom ever he was speaking to on the other line. That was the first thing, then when he finally greeted me his hygiene was awful! he smelled terrible and the dandruff coming off of him was disgusting. If someone is a manager in a store they should have better hygiene. When my car was finally in the shop for noises that I was hearing I was told that I needed to replace 4 of my calipers. I paid for all four, HOWEVER ONLY 2 OF THEM WERE CHANGED! I PAID FOR MY CAR TO BE FIXED AND I WAS RIPPED OFF!! Then I thought my bearings were going to be replaced to fix the noise, but they never were. I went back to the Midas Nyack and I spoke to the technician who worked on my car and when I asked about it he looked extremely confused as to what I was talking about with my bearings because he said he was never even told to do them! I spent $2,500 but I only received work for $580!!! This place is a total rip off and I will never be coming back here again! THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!! read more

I originally went to this shop on a Sunday and received good service, the service engine light was coming on in my car. I was told it may be a sticky valve but I should wait before making the repair (they performed the diagnostics and reset my car. The estimated cost for this repair would have been approx. $120. Several days later I went back because the light once again appeared. This time it was a different manager, not the weekend crew but the regular full timers. To make a long story short the manager wanted to charge me $750 for a repair job. He said I wouldn't be able to pass inspection unless the work was performed. I told him I wasn't about to pay $750 for his repair. While I was waiting (for several hours) to have my car serviced I noticed several unsatisfied customers coming in complaining their car repair work was faulty. I took my car filled my tank with gas and I haven't had the light come on since I left Midas. I will never go this shop again I advise all consumers to get a second opinion on any work they suggest. read more
