I live pretty far and if I need anything above an oil change I make the drive here. Staff are incredibly friendly and manager tries to get you the best deals. My entire family has actually been going here for at least 20 years (double yikes). As a woman I've never felt taken advantage of or uncomfortable. I brought my car in for some issue that was quoted at around $250. I brought my car in, he drove me to the movie theater and when the movie was out, I asked what the damage was and turns out the thingy just needed to be reset so no charge. I walked in to get an oil change. I was assured it would take one hour. It was a reasonable price. It came with their standard inspection. Sound too good to be true? I came and I heard the owner/manager on the phone with someone and he did not sound happy. His employee started the initial step of taking my information. When I asked for transparency about the oil change, the owner got paranoid, called it "investigative" then passed on service. If this is not a way to make a relaxed customer turn suspicious, I do not know what is. I mean, you speak on the phone with someone and then transfer that negative energy over to the customer. You say the customer is being investigative when he asks for transparency and then you pass on the job. Paranoid stubborn moment. The manager thought I wanted a quick service, he wouldn't hear what I was saying because he was still fuming from his earlier phone conversation. My roommate finally started coming to Midas a couple months ago to get her Toyota serviced after months and years of me showing her and explaining to her how my Honda always performs well without any issues after being serviced at Midas. I called them while I was on the freeway, my car was well over the point of overheating.
