Took our 2017 Ford F150 Raptor in after getting an estimate and diagnosis from Ford dealer. Eric helped us out didn't beat around the bush. They did their evaluation and it was the same issue Ford told us same price but better care. We decided to go ahead and replace the engine. I came here again for a second time for my car repairs. The first time was for radiator repair and these guys did a fantastic job for a very reasonable price. When I needed brakes for the same car, I came back for a full brake job. I drive a Mercedes E class and if I went to the dealership it would cost close to $800-1500 to repair. This place is just straight bad business. I called and I made an appointment for a Wednesday. Told him exactly what I needed. I show up on time. The owner is on the phone with someone that sounded like a personal call. I stand around for about 15 minutes. When he is off the phone, I tell him I had an appointment, and he asked what I needed again. Told him. He asked me if I could come back the next week because they are too busy. That was weird and unprofessional. When I come back the next week, I hand over the keys, and after 4 hours, they still hadn't touched my car. It took them about 6 hours to do the one thing I needed, to change a belt. It is too bad because the owner is super nice, but they really need to figure out scheduling. It is incredibly unprofessional to make an appointment with me, I take time off of work, and you tell me to come back. And if I am not your first priority when I take off more work to come back, that is a huge problem. read more

I'm always hesitant going to a different car repair shop because of the fear of being taken advantage of since I don't know much about cars, but I'm happy I gave this place a try. Great customer service and knowledgeable staff. They've always been able to fit me into their schedule the same day I call to make an appointment. Their service is also surprisingly fast, I've never had to leave my car overnight or wait more than a couple of hours. They have a water dispenser and coffee maker if you decide to stay and wait. The only con is that their lobby/waiting area is really small; only three chairs available. However, that's not a deal breaker because of their reasonable prices and friendly, efficient service. Got a quote for an oil pan re-sealing 6+ months ago. I was quoted 8 hours of labor for an oil pan with a 12 bolt pattern and gasket. Came here yesterday with an issue with my gas pedal which scarily became unoperable while driving. I am very lucky I wasn't in a car accident. I had my truck towed to this shop, which was recommended to me by "Good Sam Roadside Assistance" which is the same type of company like AAA and Eric and the rest of the mechanics were fantastic! They were able to fix my gas pedal better than the factory even. I had a very rare issue with the factory welds failing. Causing the plate that the gas pedal bracket mounts to; to sway back and forth and not work when applying pressure to the pedal. These guys were creative and fixed this very bizarre problem. I also noticed a new sound that I didn't have before and I took it back in to the shop the very next day and they quickly were very helpful in helping me find out where this annoying rattling noise was coming from. They even had me ride in the truck with one of the head mechanics to make sure I was satisfied with my truck. Ended up being just a simple rusty bolt that attaches to the front bumper. These guys are extremely honest and trustworthy and super cool, down to earth guys who are easy to talk to. These guys are really great! I absolutely recommend them for your automotive car / truck repair needs. I called AAA to get towed in when my radiator sprung a leak on the road. I knew what the issue was, so called around to a few different shops for estimates. Got a good vibe talking to Scotty over the phone, and got a reasonable quote, so I pulled the trigger and got my truck towed in. I arrived around 2pm, and incredibly the job was done the same day, by 5. I actually couldn't pick it up until the next morning, but that gave me the opportunity to meet the owner, Jose. I really hesitate to write any negative reviews at all as I always give people the benefit of the doubt but this repair shop really hits at the core of "low". Brought a '15 Accord here to this shop to replace the brake pads on this car. To preface this, I purchased, beforehand, the brake pads required for this car. All I really needed was for a shop to put the pads that I bought myself onto this car. As such, I called in and asked how much they charge to put the pads on the car and make sure it works properly etc. I was quoted a total of $190 - which I thought was reasonable for the amount of time it takes to do a brake pad replacement (approximately 2 hours). I then proceeded to schedule an appointment to come in. Going the day of, I dropped off my car and the people there told me that they would call me once they were finished. All is well - or so it thought. In the middle of the repair, I received a phone call from the shop telling me that I needed 2 new rotors for the rear brakes - apparently since they were worn down. They said it was going to be an extra $150 ($75 each). I decided to allow it as it was needed to make sure my brakes functioned correctly - though I was given no opportunity to see the rotors myself. At the very end, I was called by the shop and told that my car was ready. On that call, I asked about the FINAL price - inclusive of all parts + labor. My expectation was that I would be charged not to far from $340 ($190 for the brake installation and $150 for the rotors). However, over the phone, I was told that my final bill came out to over $500. This was a complete shock to me as that price was nowhere near what I was expecting to pay. They proceeded to inform me that the $190 was PER AXEL for ONLY LABOR (NO PARTS) and not the total price - which I was never told initially prior to bringing my car in. Mind you, this was for approximately 2 hours of labor. So effectively, I paid this shop $190 per HOUR + tax for only labor and nothing else - which I believe to be exceptionally high unless you (the person who is reading this) are extremely wealthy and have money to blow. Need I remind you that I brought my OWN PARTS IN and only needed the shop to install MY PARTS. While I would like to recommend this shop to others, I cannot do so, if nothing else, on the basis that they got away for charging me $190/hour for labor to replace brake pads that I PURCHASED MYSELF. I have owned many cars for over 10 years and experienced no other shop that charges that much for labor. I would advise others to double and triple check the prices that they quote you over the phone as I was absolutely misled. Had I known they charge $190/hour for labor, I would have, without second thoughts, gone to another shop in San Diego. I have been to no other auto shops EVER that would come anywhere near $190/hr for labor What is better is that they charge $150 or $160 for them to replace the brake pads using their OWN parts + labor. So they charged me $190 in LABOR ALONE PER HOUR to replace brake pads that I purchased myself when I was initially quoted a TOTAL FINAL price of $190. This is stupid and feels very low of any shop to do. The bait and switch pricing tactic that many are familiar with - I didn't expect to see here but it happened and should be pointed out for others to be aware of. Had I known this $190/hr for labor, I would've taken this car to other shops which charge half as much for, frankly, better quality work. Tell me another repair shop that charges $190/hr + tax (~ $200/hr) for labor and I'll call myself Dora the Explorer. If that is not price gouging, I don't know what is. Dishonest and deceptive. (The shop may chose to deny all or most of this as they most likely will, if for nothing else, their reputation, but I challenge the shop to pull up the actual call recordings (apparently they record all calls), to see who is being truthful here. In contrast, Scott, the General Manger recommeded many tips during several visits, and takes patience, step-wise scrutiny and professionalism for car inspection (without charge), and finally comes up with the repair after a full diagnosis; thus ensuring the pass of the test.
