I will not be returning to this location. I had a negative experience here in the past, but to their credit, they made it right, which is why I continued to come back. Unfortunately, since the transition to Mavis ownership, the level of service has declined significantly. On what ended up being my final visit, I stopped in to have a nail removed from a tire. The team told me the tread was too low for a reliable repair and recommended replacing the tire. Two days later, I returned at 8:00 a.m. prepared to purchase a full set of four new tires. Warren, the service advisor, informed me that the tires needed to be ordered and would arrive on the next truck scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Based on that information, I left my vehicle there and waited for a call. By 1:30 p.m., I still hadn't heard anything, so I called the shop myself. That's when Warren told me the truck never arrived. What was most frustrating was not the delay itself, but that no one bothered to contact me and let me know. I had been waiting for hours with no update. When I finally went back to retrieve my car, there was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, and no indication that anyone cared about the poor experience. The shop was not busy, as the techs were eating lunch in the shop at this time. The next day, I visited another Midas location in Alpharetta. They inspected the same tire and were able to safely repair it with a plug, saving me from purchasing a replacement tire. I appreciated their honesty and professionalism. I have had two unfortunate encounters with this location. My first (which should have been my last) was about a year prior when I came to get my emissions done for a new tag and while I was there I remembered my tail light needed to be changed. When I inquired about how much it was going to be...the technician had the audacity to tell me $80. As a woman going into car shops alone is always nerve wracking but trying to be blatantly swindled is ridiculous. I was able to go to jiffy lube and have it changed for $12 FYI. My second and most certainly last was this morning after I had an unexpected incident before work that had me pulled over on the side of the highway. Midas was the closest option to me I found myself inquiring about assistance with a new spark plug. Once again not my first rodeo and the technician tells me it will be a $150 diagnostic that will NOT be taken off any work I decide to get done. He then proceeds to tell me that if I do need new spark plugs and they indeed replace them it will be $400-$600. So a projected max total of $750 for what I can only assume will be a mediocre job done. I am getting the same work done for $350 elsewhere. Ladies beware! Arrived this morning to replace a leaking valve stem on my back right tire for my 2022 Camry and was told that it needed a 150 dollar fix and "reprogram of my TPMS"....went down the road to Discount Tire and they did the simple replacement of my valve stem for free! First, they told me I needed 2 new tires because they had nails in them The dash warning light never came on so I didn't believe them. I took the car somewhere else and they checked them all. Nope. No nails no leaks Been two months, no leaks. So it was an an absolute lie Today, I took it somewhere else for an oil change, and they have broken 2 tools trying to get the oil filter out. The filter us screwed in so tight, they can't get it out So now They have to break the oil filter housing unit to get the filter out. It will cost me $120.00. Never go here. Tell all your friends. DONT COME HERE!! Save ur time and money! Earlier this month I was driving on the highway and my spare tire popped. I went over to Midas to get it changed. The dude in the front greeted us and one of the boys in the back started fixing the tire. They boys in the back seemed inexperienced but hey.. what do I know? Once they're done I left and got stuck in traffic. Anyone who lives in Georgia knows, heading to the airport durning traffic time is something else. I proceeded to drive until I hear a sudden pop sound. assuming i popped another tire ( just my luck) I pull over just to see the new tire they just put in was missing a bolt and 2 out of the 4 were extremely loose. So not only did one come off while driving but 2 were loose and only 1 was on tight.. just imagine if there was no traffic? How many bolts would have came out? That's my life. I had my brakes and rotors replaced here a couple years ago and my car has never recovered. Brakes and rotors went bad within a year and they blamed the calipers. Why weren't those checked when they were originally being replaced? Had to pay them replace the brakes and rotors all over again. After that my car started shaking when breaking at high speeds. They blamed and fixed a 3 month old rotor. I don't drive on the highway often but 6 months later my car is STILL shaking at high speeds. NEVER AGAIN will I take my car to a Midas. read more

The manager at Midas is a liar. He tried to sell me one ignition coil for $232 that his mechanic broke while he was removing the valve cover. When I told him I have a life-time warranty on the coil, he lowered the price to $85. Also while removing the valve cover I believe he intentionally cut a thick piece of metal inside the valve cover forcing me to pay $989 for a brand new valve cover. That is more than twice as much I would have paid at the Toyota dealer. The manager is just a pure liar4! read more

I recently went to the Johnson Ferry Midas store in Sept 2023, I spoke with Erick, the Mgr. My objective was to have an oil change. While, I was there, I was told," I can see you are trying to maintain your car."- i recommend you replace your battery, it's over a year old & it was a cheap battery, its ooping fluid. I agreeded, then he said, you need structs, i recommend replacing the fronts & you can wait to replace the rears at.another time & when can take care of these services quickly. I told Erick, listen, I just came in today for a 75.00 oil change & now my bill is 700.00 dollars, this is what your car needs he explained. I initially declined the front & rear wiper blades. But, he said, " when was the last time, you replaced your blades"- plus I'll take 20.00 off the price of one of the blades. However, I did not realize that Midas adds $21.00 to EVERY order according to the Manager Erik & there is "No rhythm or reason for the charge & I CAN'T REMOVE the charge". Long story, short, a week prior, I took my car into a local auto repair shop, they performed my 60+ tune up & when I called them & asked," why didn't you guys, tell me that I needed "Structs"- he said- Because, you DON'T NEED IT. So, when I told Erick what the other mechanic said, his response was, " do you want to do a preventive service ? OR- Are you going to wait until your car's tires start losing air & the car starts to gallop when you drive?" Based on trusting these people at Midas, I came for a oil change, had a battery replaced, which I could of waited, Front structs installed & 2 front wiper blades & one rear wiper blade. The total 773.00 I am cautioning people, ESPECIALLY WOMEN-BEWARE MIDAS MAKES SO MUCH off of our ignorance. Unless, you like giving them your money,- DO NOT GO TO MIDAS. So basically, I went in for a check engine light and I got screwed out $1400 worth of stuff I didn't need. & my check engine light was back on 11 hours later. I took my car back up to the shop upset that after all the work and diagnosis of my car I was still having the SANE issue. I was told by Mike. That it was nothing they could do for my car anymore because they didn't have the equipment to further diagnose it. Long story short. Don't go here. They will upsell you and cheat you out of money. Tread very lightly. They were nice about it. No rude people at all. Just sleezy. Unless you know EXACTLY what is wrong with your car do not go here. I've used Midas since I purchased my car new in 2016. Previously, I have only ever used the location in Kennesaw near the mall. I have only ever received trustworthy and exceptional service from them. After a recent move to Roswell/Alpharetta area, I visited the Holcomb Bridge location as it's right down the road. I came in for a routine oil change and was presented with a quote for $1644.32 for 'additional items they found'. Upon reviewing the quote, the first thing I noticed was that they suggest I need new breaks on all 4 tires. I let them know I was shocked and they offered to walk me out to the shop and show me. First off, I'm 5'3" and they had the car easily 6 ft off the ground on the lift so I could see nothing. So I asked them why I need breaks "all the way around" as they stated, considering I had just replaced my rear breaks within the last 30 days. They lowered the vehicle a bit and started with the 'oh, um, uh' because you could clearly see full pads. Instead of answering my question, they asked me who replaced them and why did I only do rears. I let them know my husband (who is part owner of an auto brokerage and has spent 15+ years working on cars) and myself replaced them and we only did rears as they were near metal on metal and we were heading out of town. I admitted to knowing the fronts still needed to be replaced as we intended to do so when we had some free time. As for the other items, they recommended I replace my battery (despite no issues and a passing independent test) and the usual interior and exterior air filters, etc. I opted to stick with just the oil change as I didn't feel I could trust their judgment at this point anyway. Now, a month later, I'm looking at my sticker they put in the car and noticing they have screwed that up as well. My 'last serviced' milage is roughly 4500 higher than my current milage. It has become more apparent that they lack attention to detail and they are not above trying to upsell unnecessary items or lie about current vehicle status. So I end this saying, I still love Midas and hope I can find a different decent location, but I would not trust this location with anything. read more

When Tire Plus tried to bait and switch me from a Quoted price for an Alignment (which I had email copy of ) to an in house price of over $30.00 more they tried to use the excuse that it was to difficult to calculate the local Taxes for the original Quote! All i did is type "Sales Tax for 30076" in Google and then Multiply $119.99 x 1.0775 equals $129.29 (took less then a Minute) which is still less then the price they were trying to bill me for, and the Manager would not honor the quote, he told me I was welcome to go Elsewhere. From Tire Plus parking lot, I found Midas across the street who would do it for less than the quoted price out the door (100.00 straight up taxes and all AND had space to do it right then no waiting).As it turns out I didn't need an alignment at all but had 4 tires down to the wire and bulging, so Midas got $742.44 dollars from me today, I threw in a much needed oil change as well which I was planning to do at Tire Plus, So basically Because of Tire Pluss' Poor Customer service they lost at least $622.45 today and two repeat customers in the form of me and my wife. Zero stars! The worst oil change in my life. These guys don't know what they are doing. They broke my oil stick, and when they released my car back to me the whole tire and bolts fell off because they forgot to screw it back on. After the panic the manager tried to lift my car and almost broke my side trim because the lift lever was not deep enough. Additionally, they messed up my wheel. Avoid this place like a plague. I've gotten several oil changes with this Midas location through the years and for the most part they did a good job. I agree with many of the negative comments in that they always try to upsell you on things you don't necessarily need. Today was really disappointing. I called to come in and get my oil change and they have an advertised price for a Full Synthetic for $74.95 (including oil, oil filter, rotate tires, and fluid check) I always call before I come to confirm before going there. I also had a $20 off coupon they sent me, so that should make the price $54.95 plus tax. So that's what I expected. So I come in and talk to the front desk guy and ask him to confirm the price. He comes back with $109 (and that includes the $20 off coupon). I asked how in the world does it add up to that. I went thought my math of $74.95 minus $20, which is pretty simple. And he just kept telling me it's $109. He showed me the screen and he was charging me $45 extra for the oil filter. I said why are you doing that. He said that's what it costs, but your ad says it's included and it's always been included when I've come before. I looked up oil filters online in front of him and showed him 10 differed oil filters for my car and all were less than $10. He said he had no flexibility and the price is the price. So I took my key and walked out and I won't go back. I told him you lost a long-time customer. Unbelievable! He totally was trying to charge me something that wasn't right. I left called the next closest Midas and gave them the same request with the coupon. And they responded that would be fine and they are going to do my oil change for the $74.95 (less $20 coupon). And they were so accommodating and actually wanted my business. I'm not sure who the owner of the Roswell Midas is, but you need to seriously think of getting a different front desk guy that is honest and not going to try to rip their customers off. read more

I said I wanted a standard oil change. The guy at the desk, I'm assuming a manager, tried guilting me into synthetic saying he would never use regular oil in a truck like mine (which, of course, was twice the price). I told him the dealer has used the same oil since I got the vehicle and I didn't need synthetic. He said that's not what he would do (as if I was being stupid) but I told him I didn't care, regular oil was fine. I was then given an inspection report that claimed my well-maintained truck with 50,000 miles needed, among other things, a complete front end job. I told him that seemed strange with so few miles. So he then, in front of the waiting room, asked me in a sort of sarcastic way if I ran over a lot of curbs (now insinuating that I was not only stupid but a bad driver). Man I really liked this place until they ruined my moms cr-v! She went in to get her oil changed and we spoke to Ricardo about two options, semi synthetic and synthetic. When she got there he said he couldn't do synthetic which is fine. It's whatever, don't tell us we have options when we do not. THEN her car starts leaking oil. Not a little but a LOT of oil. Going into Midas there was no oil light on, now we have that and the leaking oil. Now she has to leave work just to come get her "oil" changed again because they screwed up so bad the first time. If you LOVE inconvenience I would 100% recommend coming here. And don't bother asking if you can speak to anyone other than the manager because he won't let you talk to anyone other than him since he is the manager. I'll have to go back to my old oil place now. If you own a car NEVER go to any Midas ever. We took my car in for a routine oil change today and they did $2,000+ damage and told us we were responsible. Then they told us "have fun cleaning it out", wouldn't lower the car for me to get my personal stuff out, threatened to tow my car to the junk yard if we didn't hand him the keys right away. They have horrible customer service and do not care about people who use their services. Specifically MANUEL has a horrible attitude and I wouldn't want an employee like that working anywhere communicating with customers. This was my first visit to Midas, as I usually go to the Toyota dealership for all of my car care needs. I was in need of new brake pads, an oil change and new filters. Juan was awesome from start to finish. I was there for a couple of hours which is expected given the work to be done. My appointment was at 9am and I arrived on time. As soon as I put my car in park, a gentleman (sorry I forgot to get his name & he was awesome too) was heading toward my car to greet me. I am totally satisfied with the work and I have decided to ditch Toyota and use Midas for my oil changes going forward. Hopefully I won't have any car issues any time soon but if I do I will be coming back here for my service. p.s. If I could give lower than one star I would! I was having a problem with my muffler hanger my left muffler was 2 inches higher than the right one, I was there two months prior and was met with nothing but kindness and helpfulness to fix my problem with a vice grips and was not charge but I did give a healthy tip. So I arrive at this to Midas and was met by a man I don't know his name he looked to be about 40 curly hair light skin Puerto Rican maybe with an attitude And acted like a total no at all. I tell him what I need and we walk over to the car he does not get onto the computer this is important remember this, He got underneath the car looked around for a minute and told me what he thinks the problem is and then proceeds to give me a bunch of mumbo-jumbo then tells me that he keyed in my license plate and I've never been there and that his employees would never help me without keen me into the system, so basically he's calling me a liar!!! he was never on his computer, when I came out of my car and walk straight into the office he was working on a car so how kitty of keyed in my license plate impossible. So now I'm a little irked to say the least but I listen to what he has to say because I am a respectful and polite human being unlike him, he then walks back to the storage room and brings out this muffler hanger that is exactly like the one I have on my car, probably a five dollar item max again gives me a bunch of mumbo-jumbo like I've never worked on a car before I was a mechanic in my earlier years not a backyard mechanic either I worked for Ford at any rate he thinks he's dealing with an amateur so he gives me about five excuses telling me that it's going to cost at least $100. I got underneath the car and diagnose the problem all it needs is one weld and I told him that and with an attitude he proceeds to tell me that whenever he welds it's at least $100....wow!!! This person needs training he picked the wrong guy to lie to...I said thank you and left I will never ever ever go to this Midas again and I will post this review on my Facebook where I have over 1000 friends in the Roswell area. My 2008 Dodge Caliber sprung a radiator leak, and neither of my regular mechanics could get me taken care of for a week. I needed same day repairs and Midas took care of me immediately. They even got the car done an hour and a half early! They were a little more expensive than what I'm used to, but it was well worth the price to have my car back in running condition in only 5 hours!
