He even guided me towards learning how to use the YCLT+ app on my phone so I could check in without having to use the handheld membership pass. This gym is clean and well ventilated and I love it. I usually go in the morning, so not a lot of people there. I've been to many YMCA in Charlotte and this is one of my favorites. In the morning, it's an older crowd. Which is great for me I'm not looking for a show stopping crowd. I go to the gym to work out and for my health not for a runway show so if that's what you're looking for this is the YMCA for you. This YMCA also provides workout classes as well that you can choose from that's included with your membership. There's also a swimming pool and a locker room where you can shower after each workout. There's a basketball court and also childcare area, but I'm not sure how that works. There is also lots of parking.

The indoor pool at the McCrorey Branch was fantastic, a nice respite on a very rainy day. The lifeguard and entire staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. Everything was clean, from the front lobby, locker room, to the pool. I highly recommend the McCrorey YMCA for everyone.

The instructors and other members were welcoming. In recent times, there have been several renovations and upgrades to the facility including a remodel of the lobby area, installation of digital monitors, new flooring, renovated basketball court, and new flooring in locker rooms. I have a nationwide membership so I'm able to access facilities when I am away from my neighbor. While it doesn't offer 24 hour access, the hours of operation are sufficient and there's usually a local branch when I'm away from home.

I just came home from having knee replacement surgery, and discovered l that we had no water coming…read moreout of the kitchen sink. It was late so I called one of those companies that advertises on TV. They said they would come in the morning and check it out. That cost me $90 for the visit. When the guy arrived, he went under the house, looked at my well pump, looked at my tank. He came in the house with really bad news. My pump was dead, and my tank was about to die. The end me a quote to fix it that had three different quote options. A $12,000 quote, a $7000 quote, and a $5000 quote. If I decided to have him fix our well, the $90 would go towards that repair. I told him I needed a second opinion so I called Francis Well & Pump. These guys came over and did exactly the same thing as the first guy. They looked at everything and came to the conclusion that all I needed was a $200 switch replaced They could've charged me a lot of money if they wanted to, but they didn't . I can't speak highly enough for the experience that I had. These guys are great. Call them if you have any problems going on with your well and they will take care of you and not rip you off.

From the time the class started...it went downhill. As soon as the class started.... she singled me out of about 20 women...(mind you) in the water I was doing the exercise wrong. There was no greeting me....at all. This was my 1st class with her. She went straight to making me feel like I was being singled out...out of all the women (which may have been her regulars). Every sec she got...she was telling me I was doing exercise wrong out of ALL the other 10-15 women in the pool. I thought maybe it is just me but when 2 other ladies noticed it.....no not just me. I was blatantly being singled out in the water aerobics class...once again I have to say....it was alot of other women in the pool. I finally had to ask her not to say anything else to me and I left class. For Anyone going to any class etc..it's the instructors job in my opinion to make the person feel Welcomed! Regina the water instructor did not do that. This is not the YMCA Christian way. This has been my 4th or so week going to this gym and it was good until this last time. As our home ages, we noticed our water pressure dropping again and called them this morning. They responded within hours and determined the problem was a footvalve that had developed a small hole. Since the wiring, line and pump were almost 20 years old, we decided to replace everything. They were prepared with everything we needed and completed the repair in just a few hours.
