This Walmart Auto Center in Terre Haute saved my day…read more After changing my tires at a Walmart near St Louis (not this one, a different one in Missouri), I noticed that my tire light came on. I drove back to that Walmart, and they checked the tire. It was a few pounds low, and they added air. I asked them if they could figure out why a brand new tire was leaking air. They told me that it wasn't a big deal, and that it was only a few pounds. I told them, that I was driving 800 miles and could not afford a mistake, could they please check it? They told me that if I had another problem, to stop at any Walmart in the country. Well, a couple of hours down the road, and the light came on again. I continued driving, but could feel the car pulling left. I was also pulling a motorcycle trailer. The closest Walmart on my route, was the Terre Haute location. I got there less than an hour before closing. They were very busy. I explained the situation. They lent me a floor jack, so I could unhook my trailer and drive up the car to the doors. They put me in line, and within a short while, checked my tires. It turns out, that the other store had not properly installed my valve stem! The Terre Haute store checked out my tires, and quickly got me back on the road. They went over and above by helping me align the trailer ball, and hook the trailer back up to my car. Excellent job. Tire Barn Terre Haute -- Very Disappointed With How My Tire Was Handled…read moreI took my tire to Tire Barn in Terre Haute to have a screw removed. The tire was holding air when I brought it in. It had been mounted on the rim for approximately four years, had never been off the rim since it was installed, and had only about 4,000 miles on it. While I was waiting, an employee came out and told me that the bead area of the tire was damaged/chewed up and said it was already like that when they took the tire off the rim. I immediately questioned that because, in my opinion, there is no way the tire could have been holding air for years with the bead damaged to the extent shown in these pictures. I inspected it myself and took pictures of the damage. What really concerns me is that instead of taking responsibility for what happened during the tire service, I was simply told that the damage was already there. I'm posting the pictures so people can look at the damage and make their own judgment. I don't expect a business to be perfect, but I do expect them to stand behind their work and be honest with customers when something goes wrong. Based on this experience, I am very disappointed with Tire Barn and will think twice before bringing my vehicles back there.

I left it for an estimate. Well, I get a call the next day and they quote me 2 prices. With bad pulleys and belt - $527 With tensioner, all pulleys, and belt $1,157. I was gobsmacked. Im on social security so i told them no and picked up after paying the diagnostic fee. I have always worked on my own cars until i turned 69,, lol. Decided to do it myself. Gates Serpentine Kit $325. Turns out it is an easy job on my Infiniti G37X. Less than an hour start to finisn. I know garages charge more on parts but even if kit was $600 that would be $550 for labor. Like i say i know everything is more expensive. Seems like they want timing belt replacement prices for a serpentine belt. I need recommendations for a new shop.​

On top of that they they WILL REPO YOUR RENTAL TIRES OR RIMS if you miss a payment... DON'T GO THERE unless you have upfront cash....!!!
