Recently had my car serviced at this midas shop. When I picked up my vehicle, I noticed a strong cigarette smell inside the car, which was not there before. It appears that someone may have smoked inside the vehicle while it was in their care. I'm disappointed because customers trust repair shops to respect their property. Smoking inside a customer's car is unprofessional and leaves a smell that is very difficult to remove. I hope the shop improves its policies so this doesn't happen to other customers. read more

This is only the second time I've been there with my 7 year old car, but I had a few extra things done this time like recharging my AC. This is a hard working team that have their work down to a science. I had to go back to complete the work after the AC recharge machine crapped out on them, but the one thing you can't miss is how everyone is so friendly, courteous, and eager to please. Terrible communication from staff and Management in reference to scheduling a simple oil change. I was told by the manager that he would "squeeze me in" and call me today after I was given erroneous instructions about getting an oil change days in advance of the long Labor Day weekend. They literally refused to put air in my tire that has a slow leak in the stem valve and only a high quality tire compressor fill will work. They said they were too short staffed to spend one minute putting air in the tire. Their days are numbered anyway with Town Fair Tire coming in soon. Could not have worse people in charge and I am sure Midas will regret their choices. read more

Midas in Westerly provided a state inspection on my commercial vehicle so easy and pleasant. They have a nice clean waiting area, pleasant and patient people greeting you as you come in the door. They explained things quickly about the inspection and sent me on my way. I went there for tire's for my car and the lady Rachel was just so rude and disrespectful. she had the most horrible attitude and would not stop texting. she ignored me for 15 minutes before even addressing me. she commented on my weight and told me that I was built like my mini van and that I should just leave before even getting anything done!!! My wife was in the hospital a few times over the past few months. I forgot to renew the state inspection sticker, and got the hate-mail notice sent to us taxpayers. I had only a few days to renew. The dealership was impossible, appointment wise. But Midas took me right in and had the certificate done-passed in minutes. they are always there for you; friendly, professional, reasonably priced and local. Same deal when my tire caught a roofing nail last year. Dealership could not get me in no matter how hard i tried and cried. But Midas again took me in and patched the thing. i got in and left it overnight and it was done by 930am the next day. The plug held throughout the life of that whole set of tires. i cannot recommend these guys enough. BE there for a local firm...they are THERE for you. read more

These guys are awesome! They were professional and courteous throughout the whole process. As a final touch they went above and beyond with my vehicle will definitely come back. We brought our vehicle in for inspection, it needed a repair after inspection as there was one thing that was wrong. We returned it and it turned out that it needed a fairly expensive repair. We dropped it off for the repair, they called and told us that more was bad with the original repair. They told us Monday and when we tried to pick it up that wasn't needed to be done so we left it with them they told us it would be on Monday so much pain I came to pick it up in the morning, the car wouldn't start so I called them and the next morning and testing the truck end on I call him later on and they said we replaced the battery for free. they were very apologetic about the battery and sound like they're doing that little bit I made a difference for us obviously never placed the battery was not part of what we had originally brought the truck in for it so having them replace the truck was definitely about definitely above and beyond anything we expect from them bravo Midas and keep up the good work read more

Worst place ever, rude desk clerk! Told me that they would fail my car emmissions because of tint on my back mirror, the same tint that been on the car since the last 2 test that passed! Said it was a state law! Went to another place and got my car tested with no issue 5 minutes later! Then caught the clerk and technition bad mouthing and laughing about the. Issue! VERY HORRIBLE! NEVER GO PLEASE! or NEVER GO AGAIN PLEASE! AND PLEASE DO NOT SINK MY REVIEW AT THE BOTTOM PLZ/ IF YOU DARE TO FACE THE CHALLENGE :-) I don't remember whether his name is Mike or Mark who picked up my call in this location. I told him I am a new car user filled my tank with wrong gas (diesel) and asked what should I do. I asked because I guessed it's not right to drive any more and waiting for a professional response. He said, "oh you need a oil change? Can you drop if off at my place?" You know I should not even started my car if I put diesel in it! They made me wait about 2 hours, which is ok because I'm for "oil change". Then I talked to my bf and I knew what I should do is "drain the diesel in the tank". I went to tell them I need to drain my gas because I filled in the wrong gas. They knew the situation and they made me wait another 1 hour, then told me sorry you car is not working and can't even be started right now. The attitude is horrible and arrogant when he said, " It's not we can't fix it, it's whether you want to spend that amount of money (which is $5000)." I said no. I said on the phone you told me to do a oil change. And If you didn't tell me to drive my car here, my car won't be that bad. Then this guy tried to trick me with "oil" or "gas" I talked on phone, just because I'm a foreigner, and he can play the language game with me. I wanted to hear the phone recording for what I said, he said to me rudely, "you said oil." Event though I know there's a possibility that they can fix it for me, I just want to leave this place asap because they're horrible! He said, "well you have to have the car toll. And you have to do it today. Otherwise I'm going to charge you storage cost." I was irritated by all these things and horrible and arrogant attitude. Well, eventually I ended up getting my car fixed in Acura with less than 1200 dollars. They ordered the toll for me and took care of EVERYTHING with excellent customer service. Such a great comparison between these two places. I really do not recommend future customers to go to Midas in this location. Horrible! Especially if you first language is not english, never go there and let them trick you with english words. Business is all about attitude, please fix your attitude first. read more

I brought my car there for an oil change and inspection on Saturday February 28. They ended up failing me for suspension axle cv boot cracked. So i decided to check the cv boot was not cracked but cut with a razor blade. Car was fine before midas. Never ever bring your car there i am in process of contacting a lawyer for damges. read more

Took my car there for an emissions and safety inspection, was informed that because of the tint on the window it wouldn't pass unless I had it removed, for "about $150"... Had the car looked at someplace else and low and behold, the tint on the Windows was legal, as per law it has to let 70% of light in and mine was letting in 75%.... Nice try Midas, try and swindle someone else read more
