This is a no nonsense, very informative operation at Razee. It was professional every step of the way. There's a very good reason that they have such a reputable reputation in Rhode Island. Well-worth the hike if you live a bit farther away, too. As well as the obvious (great inventory, staff, services, etc.), this dealer also has a very convenient test-ride route thanks to the location. (Test ride directions, all right turns: Turn right out of the parking lot & go approximately a quarter of a mile. Take another right onto Annaquatucket & follow that road to Boston Neck Road. Enjoy a 5 mile joyride along Boston Neck Road until the junction with Dunkin, Walgreens, etc. & take yet another right onto Bridgetown Road. One final right onto Route 1 will lead you straight back to Razee. This will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.) read more

I purchased a new motorcycle from Razee a few years ago. The first maintenance interval required a valve adjustment and therefore removal of the fuel tank. They neglected to connect the fuel sender, which feeds a warning light to indicate that there is only about 1 liter of fuel left in the tank. Consequently I ran out of fuel during a ride because the indicator light failed to turn on. A few weeks ago I had Razee perform the next schedule maintenance, which required replacement of the front brake line (4 year interval). The technician removed the headlight adjustment bolts/washers/grommets that are used to lock the vertical orientation of the headlight, and used the stay to zip-tie the new brake hose. He did not replace the fasteners. During a late afternoon ride I recognized that the headlight beam was pointing high, much to the irritation of oncoming drivers, and so discovered the error. I understand that Razee is swamped with service requests, but I'd prefer that they take the time to do the maintenance thoroughly and properly. I do not trust them. read more

My Honda scooter seat was locked with my wallet and phone inside and the seat button would not worked even with my key in the ignition. These folks took the time to help me right away and used a camera to show that a quarter had lodge in the lock release under the seat preventing it from opening. After a bit of work, the tech got it open. Naturally, I was really happy to have an unlocked seat again without having to damage the seat or lock.. read more

I wonder who will read this - a review of a motorcycle center. Then again, I wrote a review of a post office. This place bugs me. They sell a bunch of gucci brands like Ducati, BMW, Moto Guzzi, KTM - but I don't feel like they close the deal. It feels like some guy coming up to you on the street, opening his coat to show you some actually nice stuff that he just happened on, but knows nothing at all about how to market. They must have had more than 100 bikes assembled and on the floor, outside, and across the street (they have so many that they have sprawled over there too). So many bikes that they have four conex boxes on site in which to lock the bikes at night. If you require conex boxes, maybe you should consider expanding? Because it makes your business look like a trailer park. The parts department is upstairs and is TINY. While I was getting my BMW bike serviced the repair guys joked that it was taking a long time because they wanted me to look around and buy a bike. I told them hey, if your goal really was for me to impulse buy, you would have a nice, big parts department on the main floor instead of a tiny one on the second floor - because I am not going to impulse buy a motorcycle. I might impulse buy some gloves, some bling, or something else for my motorcycle. This all ensued because I was pacing around - they only have a bench to sit on while you wait, no chairs. And only one loaner bike which, as you can imagine, is always out. So at the 2 hour point I was getting hungry. With no other options, I went for the (broken) soda machine. After hunting down the people that have the key to open it, I find that it only has colas in it - no thanks. The perimeter of the business butts against wild lands, with trees and greenery abound. That's why it bugged me that they had piles of scrap metals and other garbage sitting amongst the trees. Almost forgot - got a call a few hours after I got back home with my bike...hey, we forgot to put a couple of parts on. This concerns me considering my service was a factory recall on the braking system. So stop on over and we'll put those parts on, that is - if you can stop when you get here. Overall this is NOT a polished operation. I salute that they've been in business for a couple of generations, but they definitely don't have it figured out. *rant complete* read more

I purchased a scooter there a few years ago. Negotiated a good price. A very good experience and they have been helpful on service ever since.. which has been minimal. When a friend needed a new scooter I took him there. Worked this time with a different sales person, his name was Chris. Right from the first moment, he was kinda rude and condescending. Maybe it was because we were there to buy a scooter and not an expensive motor cycle. We asked to have him get a key and show us a bike outside. We stood outside waiting for about 15 minutes as he had something to eat and drink. He was condescending and responded with snide and rude comments to a few simple questions. My friend and I both picked up on it.. and just ignored it. He acted offended and annoyed when I asked if there were any discounts or if he could throw in a complementary item as part of the purchase. I had gotten a nice discount on my last purchase and they threw in a inexpensive scooter cover last time. It seemed like a routine question. I appreciate the market is different right now. He was not even polite about the question. We were a bit stunned, but we wanted the bike, so we just proceeded with the purchase and worked with the business office to do paperwork and payment. They were very very nice an helpful. Finished up business office and went to take delivery from Chris. As we were approached him another customer asked him a question about a more expense bike, we had informed him we were ready to drive away, as he had told us the bike was ready to go when we were done with the business office. He proceeded to ignore us and he kept us waiting another 15-20 minutes. Let me emphasize that I think Razee is an excellent business. My advice however is.. avoid working with Chris as a sales person... if you want to purchase anything but a very expensive bike. Had I not had good previous experiences with other people in the past, if this was my first experience at Razee, based upon our experience and interaction with Chris, I would have suggested customers go elsewhere to purchase a motor bike. read more

I can't say enough about these folks.... My 1996 Honda ST1100 broke down in North Kingston, RI (I'm from Providence), so I called Razee and they were so helpful! They sent a tow truck in about 30 minutes and called me to get information on why it broke down (overheating issue). They repaired the bike and checked it all out and it rides like brand new! Very reasonably priced and, most importantly, THE JOB WAS DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME! Razee is now my "Go-To" Bike Shop! read more

Generally nice folks working here. I have never had a bad experience with the staff. But I don't enjoy watching someone fumble with microfiche for what seems forever and then have the basic consumable parts be "available for order". I can order it myself and save 30% on most parts we all can. The parts area needs organization, cleaning and a dedicated checkout area for people who don't need a 20 minute parts treasure hunt experience. I really want to support the local shop and will be upset if/when it closes but the game has changed and they need to revise their strategy read more

My brother in laws KTM 1290 suffered an electrical problem while on our 4 corners of the United States ride. The service manager found one of the two switch assembly's in the whole United States and the part was sent overnight. It was installed and we're back on the road. Its not a fashion show, it's a motorcycle shop, and these guys mean business. The parts dept may be small, but they've always had everything I ever needed. From Honda lube to OEM Ducati filters, Kawasaki sprockets, the list goes on. The prices of used bikes seem a bit higher than on the street, but it's that way with car dealers too. They always seem to have some tempting late model leftover on the floor. I get frustrated because they are closed on Sundays, but I guess bike guys need time off to ride too. read more

Today is the 3rd time I have walked into the store looking for information on purchasing a new scooter. I have walked around the store looking for staff to assist me or even acknowledge my presence but I was unable to identify an actual employee because everyone was to busy socializing. I knew it was socializing because this a small crowd was walking out at the same time I was to walk across the street to the repair shop to continue their chit chatting. It's a shame because they are the closest shop to purchase a new scooter from but fortunately they are not the only place. read more

Took my 2015 Yamaha Raider to them for an excessive fuel use. They had it for a month and when I picked it up it had the same issue as when I brought it in, except it cost me $168 and a month of no bike. Could have left in the garage and saved the $168. All the did was put some air in my tires and cleared some old codes. Expected a lot more from a shop that has ben in business as long as Razees has. VERY disappointed. Now I have to take it to another shop and hopefully they will correct my issue read more

My bike was running bad. 1998 Honda Valkyrie. guy said maybe needed a carb rebuild but they would see what they could do. my bike has 6 carbs so thats no fun $$$$ They did a 12k service and a few other things to bring her up to date on her service and added some CRC engine treatment to the fuel. that stuff is magic. She runs Amazing now. so +1 for Razee 2000 miles later and my bike now needs fork seals (shes old) I'll be going back to razzee for that too. read more

I was thrilled with the service I received from the supply department regarding a particular gas they had in stock. However, the can was very difficult to open so I brought it back the following day seeking assistance. Chris came out to personally help me out with this can. He shared some funny stories; gave me some great tips on this gas product; and showed a great deal of respect for my questions and needs. Thank you Chris!! This is probably the best shop to go to if you want work to be done correctly. Not cheap, but correctly. I have Also bought a few things there and they were great. The reason for 3 stars is that everytime I have called them to make an appointment or have taken anything there for service, there have been substantial delays. As an example, I made an appointment for 7 weeks out because that was the earliest they had. Not even the spring rush. Now, they called and are pushing it back another week. Another time they told me to drop it off and I waited 3 months for it to be fixed, and these were simple service procedures on common bikes! They are always super nice but for the life of me I cannot understand why they would not expand their service department. They brag that they have 10 or 12 or 15,000 customers (all of which are in front of me in line for service) and how they have been open for something like 80 years (of people waiting) with people coming from New York and New Jersey (that is how long their line is), so why is their shop so small? Evidently they are content with making customers wait for several months to get their work done. Russell probably spends half of his time rescheduling and apologizing for lateness. They could make so much more money if they increased their service department. Maybe next time I need repairs I will wait until fall and drop it off and then when I have to wait all of that time for them to service it I won't have to pay for winter storage. I must admit, after reading the other reviews on here I was a bit nervous to come here. I asked around, and after a friend recommended Razee's, I decided to ignore the other reviews and give it a shot. We showed up around 2PM on a Tuesday. With the gas prices going up, I decided a scooter would be a good investment for my tax returns. They had a decent selection outside (10+ scooters all different makes) and after getting an idea of what they had I decided to venture in to find a sales associate. We quickly met a man (whose name I can't recall at the moment, but I will edit the note when I get it next week) who was extremely friendly and eager to help. Not in the "I need to make a sale so I'll help you" manner, but in the "I'm here to answer your questions" manner. I explained my situation, what sort of roads I''ll be riding on, how much, etc and after listening to what I had to say without any interruption he led me outside to a scooter. Honestly, like most salespeople, I was expecting him to bring me to the most expensive piece and then reluctantly work down from there. I was shocked he bought me not only to the scooter I had my eye on, but it was on the lower spectrum of the price grade of the scooters. The whole situation was completely pressure and intimidation free (another factor I was worried about since I had no knowledge of scooters excepts the online research I've done prior to coming here). I fell in love, but I only had enough money for 75% of the scooter. I was bought inside where I met Donna (this is why everyone should hand out business cards!) and we arranged a very low interest loan on the remaining portion of my new ride. Again, no interruptions and all smiles and sincerity. I'm head back next week to pick up my new Kymco Super 8!! THE ONLY reason I didn't give Razee's 5 stars is because they also have a service department and I've yet to use it... once I do, however, I'll edit the note again. read more

Worst experience I've ever had buying a vehichle. Bought a brand new moped that continued to break after numerous times in their shop and numerous times they attempted to fix it. They never did. At the end of the day, Razee said they would not replace it and only give me a used value store credit for my moped with 600 miles on that they sold me brand new. Never will buy from them again. Absolutely wonderful service in every department. I have been buying parts from these guys for years. If they don't have it they will find it for me without hesitation. I have even bought a used motorcycle from them and I was 100% satisfied. There is no salesmen breathing down your neck, but if you are interested help is always nearby. It doesn't matter if you ride dirt, street, combination of both, or are just a cruiser; you will find the ride, gear, parts, and supplies that you need to be first off the line. read more

Razees told me I needed a new motor to fix my interceptor. I ended up selling the bike for peanuts. Only to find out later that it was only the chain tensioner that was the issue. Shame on Razees. Just terrible service department. read more

I just took delivery of a new Yamaha R3 from Razee. The whole process was very efficient and actually quite enjoyable. Manny, my most excellent and knowledgeable salesperson, got back to me with a price soon after I went to their website, and then located it at another dealer and got it for me when promised. Bike was perfect. Even the office staff was friendly and helpful. It was a bit of a ride to get there, but I'll enjoy the bike just that much more because the sales process was so good. read more

I have purchased and serviced 2 bikes here over the years ...a Kawasaki KLX and a Ducati GT1000.. I have also used the service department for other bikes I have owned.. While they are not perfect.. They really get the important stuff right.. Excellent inventory.. Excellent prices (apparently this business owns the real estate and has been around for almost 70 years and is debt free - looks like it was never remodeled..but low overhead means they can make $$ without overcharging). The sales staff is not on commission.. ZERO PRESSURE... Just bike enthusiasts helping you find the ride that works for you..Service department does the job without upsell and at a fair price.. Sometimes it seems like it can take them an hour to make minute rice.. (All departments, not just service) but a job well done at a reasonable price is worth waiting for.. Parts guys are nice, smart and are good at figuring out which part you need, then ordering it for you.. Personally, I find doing business here a better value and much more pleasant than the other dealers I have bought from... (I have used 5+ dealers and most of them have been similar to my car buying experiences (not good) read more

I just bought a bike there. well put a deposit down on it. Its hard to get help at this place. I think there were 2 salesmen. I had to go to the parts dept and ask them for help finding a salesman before I found one. When doing some of the paperwork they sit you on a crappy metal bench. I've bought 2 bikes there and had service done. As some others have alluded to it's not a boutique type operation. Who Cares! They have one of the best service and parts dept ANYWHERE and that's not just my opinion. I heard that directly from one of the manufacturer's reps. Depending on the time of the year, what they have on the floor and perhaps what phase the moon is in, you can sometimes get some good deals on bikes, particularly left overs. That being said they are a typical Rhode Island business in the sense that they want to hit a home run almost every time up to the plate. Most Rhode Islanders won't travel more than 10 minutes for anything and the local business know it and hold firm to their price. Consequently I bought my last 2 bikes in CT. Hopefully I won't have to go there for the next one. The bottom line is if you can come to an agreement on the bike you won't regret buying it there. You won't find a more honest or honorable business owner than Gordon Razee. read more
