I wonder who will read this - a review of a motorcycle center. Then again, I wrote a review of a post office. This place bugs me. They sell a bunch of gucci brands like Ducati, BMW, Moto Guzzi, KTM - but I don't feel like they close the deal. It feels like some guy coming up to you on the street, opening his coat to show you some actually nice stuff that he just happened on, but knows nothing at all about how to market. They must have had more than 100 bikes assembled and on the floor, outside, and across the street (they have so many that they have sprawled over there too). So many bikes that they have four conex boxes on site in which to lock the bikes at night. If you require conex boxes, maybe you should consider expanding? Because it makes your business look like a trailer park. The parts department is upstairs and is TINY. While I was getting my BMW bike serviced the repair guys joked that it was taking a long time because they wanted me to look around and buy a bike. I told them hey, if your goal really was for me to impulse buy, you would have a nice, big parts department on the main floor instead of a tiny one on the second floor - because I am not going to impulse buy a motorcycle. I might impulse buy some gloves, some bling, or something else for my motorcycle. This all ensued because I was pacing around - they only have a bench to sit on while you wait, no chairs. And only one loaner bike which, as you can imagine, is always out. So at the 2 hour point I was getting hungry. With no other options, I went for the (broken) soda machine. After hunting down the people that have the key to open it, I find that it only has colas in it - no thanks. The perimeter of the business butts against wild lands, with trees and greenery abound. That's why it bugged me that they had piles of scrap metals and other garbage sitting amongst the trees. Almost forgot - got a call a few hours after I got back home with my bike...hey, we forgot to put a couple of parts on. This concerns me considering my service was a factory recall on the braking system. So stop on over and we'll put those parts on, that is - if you can stop when you get here. Overall this is NOT a polished operation. I salute that they've been in business for a couple of generations, but they definitely don't have it figured out. *rant complete*

Won't take my BMW anywhere else. Russell and his staff are great! I've been going there for years!

How negotiable are they on Used and new bikes? %? Or examples?

Negotiable enough on my trade that that's the place I ended up buying.

Coutu Auto Service

We started bringing our vehicles to Coutu Auto a dozen years ago (with a break in the middle when…read morewe moved out the the country) and are so very thankful we discovered this business all those years ago. In the beginning (12+years ago) Rochelle and her unbelievably friendly, exceedingly large, dog manned the office, while brother Mickey took care of the cars. Together they make a great team of unparalleled customer service and quality car care. Located on the south bound side of Rt 2 in East Greenwich, they are close to the stop light at Middle Road. The parking area is on both sides of the shop as well as in front. There are often cars out there, proving this mechanic is busy. Park anywhere there's a spot when dropping off for service. If you chose to leave the car the night before service, there is a 'drop box' with large envelopes where you leave your name, phone, car info and work to be done. Drop the keys in the envelope, and drop the envelope into the drop box. Just be sure to call ahead to book an appointment because they are very busy and may not be able to get to it right away. (This is an educated guess on my part. Just makes sense based on how many cars are always in their lot and I've personally never just dropped off the car without an appointment. That's not to imply they can't get you in, in an emergency situation. Just call them first and let them know.) Mickey is always taking classes, staying up to date on the newest car technology. They explain every expense and either why you need it or why they recommend it. They also keep the automotive diagnostic computer software up to date for these newer cars that have so many computerized parts. Over the years this business has grown, more mechanics have joined the staff and we drop the car off at night and pick it up the next day. The car is always clean when we pick it up (a dealership once left greasy fingerprints on the interior roof liner - how?) and during this time of pandemic, we pay over the phone and they leave the keys inside. No contact drop off, no contact pick up. The entire transaction is over the phone, if you so desire. I wish I could tell you 'don't go here' because I love this place and want to keep it all to myself. Luckily we do not need so much car repair we are always there, so I share with you this trust worthy auto mechanic who truly makes you understand his goal is to keep your car running in as near perfect condition as possible without over charging you for anything, parts or service, or trying to get you to purchase services your car does not need. Even when we had a car in need of lots of repair work, he was able to give us a breakdown of what is an immediate *must* and what could be done over time (to help us keep our monthly budget in check), while assuring safety on the road. Seriously, these guys rock. We have had a variety of vehicles over the years, both new and old, and have lived in many different states (and a couple other countries) and we have found Coutu's to be top notch in car care, pricing and customer service. Truly, I cannot recommend this shop enough

I came across Couto on the DMV website. I needed to get my can inspected and I had tinted windows…read more Richelle was courteous, responsive and amazing from the jump. She handled everything timely, kept me updated via text and had me contact Ford because some of the issues they found should be under warranty. Spoiler alert - they were! Now off to deal with Flood Ford which is about as enjoyable as a root canal with no pain meds. Thank you, Couto! 10/10!
