My friend from university recently passed, and his visitation was held at Linnemann. I was very…read moreimpressed with the extent of preparations that went into the evening on such short notice: - Two funeral home attendants each stationed at both the front and rear entrances. - Guest books at both entrances. - Cards for donations. - A writing station for loved ones to scribe their favorite memories of the deceased. - An entire room filled with photo collages of his life. - A color booklet with pictures and a detailed story of my friend's life, including quotes about fond memories from his family. There were enough booklets so that everyone in attendance could take one home. - A 15 minute video complete with moving images, music and quotes from and about my friend. It was edited in storytelling fashion, discussing his life from beginning, to university and beyond, both hardships and high points. The visitation was an open casket. While a person never resembles how you remember them in life, Linnemann did a fine job of making him appear at rest. Next to the casket was a poster board featuring the last speech my friend wrote. He was a motivational speaker and this made for a beautiful touch. Sadly, I've attended many funerals in my life, but Linnemann has by far offered the best service. The facility itself is modern, clean, and bright. The rooms are spacious and can accommodate large groups of mourners. There are also plenty of chairs and couches in each of the rooms. Ample free parking is available in the lot across the street as well. Linnemann went above and beyond to make a comfortable grieving process for both my friend's relatives and for those who knew him socially. It was the perfect bridge of connecting his loved ones of all ages and from all walks of life.

I have been to a few funerals here, but only recently had to deal myself with arranging the funeral of my mom. All the staff, and especially Paul, were wonderful. They couldn't have been kinder and more helpful and accommodating to all our needs. Paul was very sensitive to our every concern. The prices were more than reasonable. We've only been able to get their bronze package because of our budget, but you get quite a bit which is more than I can say for other places dealt with in the past. This is what really happened...I knew something was wrong when: 1. I pleaded with Faithful Friends to give me a receipt to prove they picked up Oreo( I wanted a date). Also a receipt showing a date proving that she was cremated. I kept asking...they kept refusing. Kim, from Faithful Friends that commented on my review was the person that kept refusing to give me a receipt proving they had picked up Oreo and proving that she was cremated. She also blocked me from talking to anyone else. She, the other staff, as well as Middendorf didn't know where Oreo was or even who the driver, who was supposed to pick up Oreo. 2. I also knew something was wrong when their dates didn't match Middendorf's dates until they finally got together and picked a date that worked for them. 3. Oreo was referred to as a "Male"...my precious Oreo is a FEMALE. 4.Brittany, Jim, Brian and Lorie and staff didn't even have compassion for my Beloved Oreo to return my calls. I will be reporting them to Animal Cruelty Organizations and the Ky. Board of Veterinary Examiner. I am devastated that I still don't know what happened to my Beloved Oreo or where she is.
