Had a white vinyl fence installed by MTF. Every aspect of my business with MTF was painful. Communication was nonexistent, and only heard from Kirk after repeatedly calling and ringing his phone off the hook. Every answer was vague and every conversation frustrating. Our projected start time was 4-6 weeks after my downpayment. Ended up being 7 months of wait time. After the project was complete, we had several dented panels, uncapped posts, and several posts not concreted in...just sitting in dirt. The first decent storm exposed that. No word from Kirk after telling him this. I wouldn't suggest doing business with MTF unless price is your only factor for doing business. I would give zero stars if available. We gave a 50% down payment and after 5 months of no fence we told the owner Kirk Goddard we wanted to cancel and get our money back because he couldn't guarantee we would ever get our fence. He told us the fence supplier would keep a percentage of the down payment and that he (Kirk) would have them refund the rest. Turns out Kirk kept our money himself and was lying to us about the fence company keeping a portion of the down payment. We finally received our refund minus the $800 he kept. We had to call twice to get our money back. He said the fence company only issued checks twice a month, when in fact he WAS the fence company. Not trustworthy. Our mistake for not checking him our further before giving him our money. read more

I agree with with the other reviewer...avoid this company. My experience was not too great with Middle Tennessee Fence. One of my gate posts was installed too far away and the latch doesn't reach. I called the owner and explained everything. He told me that my neighbor hit my fence with his mower and shifted my fence. This is just not true. The real reason was the contractors he paid to install my fence were working at 11pm in the pitch black trying to get mine done so they could start another job the next day. I paid close to $10,000 for this fence, I shouldn't have to beg for the truth and be lied to. Completely ridiculous for me to have to rig my $10,000 fence so the gate latches just because he wouldn't pay the contractors to come finish the next day. read more

I absolutely agree with the previous comments. Dealing with this company was a very frustrating experience and I would strongly urge you to move on to the next fencing company. It appears this company is affiliated with Middle Tennessee Fence company, which is who I dealt with. The contact number for quotes with this company is the same office number as that listed for Middle Tennessee Fence company. First, we agreed on price, the fence layout, fence design, etc. We were told we'd need to deposit half up front so they could order materials, which seemed reasonable at the time. However, after getting payment, we did not hear from the owner for 6 weeks. After numerous emails and phone calls and thinking he took the money and ran, he finally sent us an email asking what type of fence we wanted. You know, the fence we agreed upon and he was supposed to order 6 weeks ago!! He had a "no refund" policy so I felt stuck and forced to proceed with his company. After another 6 weeks of waiting and getting the run around, they finally made it out to my house and installed the fence. It was amateur hour out there. First, they started digging and installing the fence in the wrong areas. Luckily I work from home and was able to catch it, but they left 8-12 holes around my yard. They left debris (clay, rock, gravel) all over the yard instead of hauling it away, so I actually had to go out and clean it up when they left. We would have asked them to do it but it took 12 weeks to get them out in the first place and my grass would be dead in a couple days! Also, they cut my Internet wire when digging a fence post. The employees did not come to my door to tell me this. So on top of not being able to work the rest of the afternoon and had to sit on the phone with AT&T for a couple hours trying to figure out why my internet wasn't working until we connected the dots. The company did not call 811 to mark the underground wires and cables, which is required by law. I did verify this by calling 811 and having them search for a ticket. Now, here's the good part. When we attempted to rectify the situation with the owner and ask for a discount based on all the aforementioned issues, he was unapologetic and arrogant. He threatened to put a Mechanic's Lien against our home and take us to court over 10% of the contract price, or $700. He even bragged that his attorneys win cases all the time. Now, I'm not sure of another business owner I've heard of that brags about the number of lawsuits he's won. I'm pretty sure this is a regular occurrence for this company. Anyway, of course, we bowed to the bullying because of the threat of paying legal fees in the event we lost. We have our first child on the way and it just wouldn't make sense. However, this company doesn't deserve your business. As you can see from my review, this company cuts corners, treats customers like dirt, and will be unapologetic if anything is not done up to your standards, not to mention is more than willing to take you to court. read more

We contracted with Middle Tennessee Fence company to install a fence prior to closing on our new home. They took our sizable deposit for installation. It is now 4 weeks later, and we have no fence with no indication as to the date of when it will be installed. We have been continuously calling the company to see when the fence will be installed, and keep getting the run around. After 4 weeks of much frustration not being able to get a straight answer from these people we cancelled the order, and demanded a refund. This company is very unprofessional, and will be quick to take your money with no promise of fulfilling their contract. Our experience has been down right terrible. read more

Middle TN Fence built me an 8 foot privacy fence on my property line. The guys who installed it did an excellent job making everything perfectly straight, level, and were very careful to keep the mess of the job out of my neighbor's yard. I appreciated the owner's input on the specifics of the fence design to help us meet our goals for privacy, aesthetics, and durability. I had trouble getting other fence companies to even come out and bid on my job. I am very pleased with my fence. read more

We had a 125' fence installed about a year ago. The work was solid and the fence looks as good and solid after a year's weather. The crew came out with all materials, they demo'd the old fence and hauled off every last splinter and nail. They set the new posts and got the fence up. I think the entire process took 9 hours, including breaks. My wife and I are very pleased. I would recommend these guys. -ddw read more
