This is very much a little small-town diner. There are 2 rooms with tables, not much decoration. There didn't appear to be any menus, but there was a white board that showed the soup of the day, 2 sandwiches (a hamburger & hot beef) and a list of pies. The choices appeared to be that or the buffet, which consisted of a small but good salad bar and another hot food bar with fried chicken, ham, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy and some soup. Nothing fancy and not a wide variety, but it all tasted homemade and fresh. And, at $10.99, it was priced well. As I was leaving, I noticed that they had cinnamon rolls, and I got one to go. Again, it was fresh, likely homemade and delicious. And, the staff was very friendly.

Great food, love the chicken and bread pudding. The price is high but worth every penny!

I posted a picture at the end of this review. Each salad included a fluffy freshly baked roll. The only negative was the rolls didn't come with real butter, but instead some oil spread which was not ideal. I also had a piece of their blueberry pie which was amazingly not too sweet not "corn-starchy", which is so often the case. I can only imagine the rest of their food offerings are ample and great! The service was excellent, and the ambience was amazing! The entire restaurant was beautifully decorated for Halloween. The bathroom was clean and handicap assisted. I highly recommend that you stop here for lunch or dinner. I am quite sure you won't be sorry!

I'm a sucker for a wet burrito so if I see one on the menu, it's always in contention for my pick…read more My wife and I decided to give theirs a shot, both choosing the ground taco beef, and neither of us were overly excited with our choice in the end. It severely lacked red sauce and the meat itself was very bland; we just didn't get that flavorful wet burrito experience we were hoping for. Outside of that, our servers were very good and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself was a pretty good size spot with plenty of seating; a little outdated on the decor but that's to be expected. I will say, the pieces of homemade pie they had sitting by the register way very tempting and I'm mad at myself for not getting one on the way out.

A pretty good overall experience, perhaps a few things could be improved for next time…read more I was pleased with the quality of our appetizer, as well as the creativity. We went with a fried goat chase appetizer, which I've never had before, and never even seen on another menu before. The cook clearly enjoys using balsamic glaze as this was used on both the appetizer and later on my entrée as well. Balsamic glaze is certainly delicious, but I'm not sure if it goes well on quite as many things as the cook seems to think it does. My entrée was a dish of mushroom ravioli prepared in a purée made with green peas. I noted that the chef used a variety of spices in preparing the purée, to very good effect. My wife ordered the New York strip, and what was brought out looked very good. We both had cocktails, and in both cases the cocktails or well-made. I ordered a Mojito type drink made with tequila. My wife ordered a strawberry Mamosa. I noted the care that was taken in preparing both drinks which tells me there's a professional bartender on staff. About the only thing that needs to be improved is the service. We waited just a bit too long for certain aspects of the meal in a restaurant that was nearly empty. The server was certainly polite and well mannered, but I think he was the only one working that evening. Perhaps on weekends they're better staffed?

It t was perfect since we didn't have to wait at all for our table but the place was busy; lots of people were excited to be there. We ordered our drinks and the beet and goat salad to split as an appetizer. It was delicious and huge with loads of goat cheese and tasty pickled beets and zesty arugula. For our meal, I ordered the Pork Schnitzel with squash and zucchini and my wife got the whitefish that was one of the specials. The schnitzel had an incredible mushroom sauce and was cooked perfectly with the right balance of crispy and tender. We had a great time and plan to make the drive there regularly! It's great for a date night or a group or family meal!
