My one complaint i have is the lack of customer service in the place. Disorganized and lack of communication.

It's disgusting. He is pathetic and not to mention that virtually ALL services are substantially padded so that the owner pays much more than they would with any other equine vet. They are UNETHICAL. NO ONE should consider using them IMO. My horses have NOT done better under their care but I'VE PAID PLENTY OF MONEY TO THEM! If you care about your horses, don't use them, IMO.

The sheer peace of mind that comes from knowing that your vet will come out at the drop of a hat, in the middle of the night if need be, is worth everything. From your high level competition horses, to your retired pasture pet, each animal and owner receives the same level of commitment and care. Having worked with numerous vets in the area, I cannot recommend South Mountain Equine enough!

Happily paid for any and all that was recommended. Even when Dr.Wilson removed what he said was a tumor from my then 4 year old chihuahua and it turned out it was a healthy, normal salivary gland. We didn't get angry or argue having to pay for what turned out to be a completely unnecessary surgery. We accepted that doctors are human too and moved on. We put our trust in them, gave them respect and never questioned their recommendations. We spent tens of thousands of dollars there. We sent them gifts in appreciation. And in return some of them have treated us like garbage. We had an issue with their groomer, Amy. My dog was injured during grooming(per their report)but again we weren't angry at the time or blaming. We figured those things happen sometimes. But her response was to completely shut down and refuse to give any information that could help treat my dog. Over the next few months, my dog had to have her toe removed. And still the management staff and groomer treated us like we had done something wrong! Again we never blamed, never asked for compensation, we simply said because Amy wouldn't communicate we didn't want to use her as a groomer. From that point many of the staff was cold and at times out right rude to me. When we finally expressed unhappiness with the treatment and handling of things the office manger, Marney made it clear our continued business was not wanted. They were happy to let a client of over 15 years leave because they prioritized their groomers ego over a long term client

I'd have HAPPILY driven to the facility to retrieve them if given the option- which I was not. The thought of him in the back of the truck all day, bouncing around with people's online shopping orders made me sick. Then I get the ashes, and when I went to take 1/4 tsp to send away for memorial jewelry, it was nearly impossible to get 1/4 tsp of smooth ash as the container is FULL OF BIG BONE fragments! I cannot believe how lazy and uncaring this company is. Utterly heartbreaking experience. EDIT: I would like to note that a manager has called, twice, and offered a refund, additional mementos and to reprocess. He confirmed that the state I received Max back in was not up to their standards. I appreciate his sincerity, and just wish this never happened in the first place.

The cost was $500 just for the cremation, which through a non-emergency vet would be around $200. Because of the holiday I could not transport the body to a vet and so paid up. Then I was shown a folder of memorial urns and items I could buy. I was appalled. Grieving people do not make good choices, but usurious Agape thinks it can make more bucks by playing on our sorrow. But the real horror, after all that, was finding out my cat's cremains were being shipped through the post office--the cheapest way possible and so insulting. sending your pet home on a mail truck. I was able to get the cremains off the truck and to the vet, but for $500 I should have received Fed Ex kid glove treatment. I fault the vet clinic for using this greedy company. I have had other cats cremated and have never experienced such treatment. I just wonder if the ashes I get will be my cat's--some places take videos of their cremations, but I expect Agape has no proof the ashes are whose they say they are. Shame on them.
