My two-year-old son and I have a brunch date here every week! My little one loves that he gets to watch small planes land and take off while eating a really tasty breakfast. My son always gets the eggs kid's meal which is the perfect size and comes with toast, a meat choice, and a side. He gets a coloring page to keep him busy before the food comes (if watching planes, helicopters, and trucks are not enough entertainment already) and a prize at the end of the meal (little dude always picks a lollipop but there are fun little toys to choose from too). The menu has very good "greasy spoon" breakfast and lunch options and I have yet to be disappointed by a meal. The service is great and always quick. The prices are great and worth every penny. The diner itself is a little tricky to find the first time. But if you park in the main lot and just follow the sign that points you to a walk-way, it will lead you down to the tarmac. You will find the diner on the second floor of the building on your left. The diner itself is tiny, but I have never seen it full on the weekdays. There is also an outdoor patio that faces the runway. The patio does not offer a lot of shade though and can be too much on a really hot day. There are also big windows inside the diner, so you will have a good view no matter where you choose to sit. I lthink I am addicted to the corn beef hash that is served on the side of most breakfast dishes!!! And, as others have said, it is wonderful that the side of fruit is all fresh and a great variety that changes from time to time. It is just such a great place to take the kids for a fun and inexpensive meal!!!! read more

All the great reviews made this an inviting place to have breakfast. It's not easy to find but once we made it into the building the odor of old, mold and pesticide should have been my warning to get out. But the reviews woed us to climb the stairs. and we made it up to the cafe. Yes it is cute and the young people who serve the tables were nice, hence the one star...but after that we should have gone to MacDonalds and had a better tasting meal. The food had a distinct taste of dishwater ....either that or just the water in the area is bad. My pancakes were the size of the plate but burnt on one side, lumpy and not tasty...again the dishwater taste. The bacon must have been hanging around all morning, cold and cooked way too much...the coffee also tasted foul and had abviously been made by someone who lets in sit in the pot way past its time. The eggs were okay, but you can't screw that up and does not involve the water. Maybe it was a bad day...if you want a cheap breakfast and there is no other way to look at planes okay, but don't expect to have a tasty meal...Instead expect something that makes your tastebuds scream what is this and repeats on you all day long. We went there for breakfast after reading the reviews on Yelp. It is right at the airport. We loved the intimate place with tables inside and out. The food was great and omg it came to us so fast. Staff was very friendly and attentive making sure your coffee was topped off. Would definitely go there again if we are in the area. read more

We went back today because my son really wanted to watch the planes. Things were much better, the lady who I assume was the owner was riding the kitchen staff pretty hard, but I can't say I blame her. It was nothing more than harsh corrections. A few things still aren't cooked how I like, but it's easy enough for me to ask them to change what I didn't like. read more

It is a great place to take young kids and sit outside to eat. The food is not as good as I remember though. . I got an omelet and home fries. The home fries are basically french fries cut into squares. The omelet was not great. The kids pancakes looked pretty good and the price for everything was very reasonable. I have to agree with the other reviewer about the owner/manager barking orders at the waitstaff. I felt so bad for them - they looked terrified and it is not the most relaxing way to eat. read more

My review got removed for whatever reason. Everything I said in my review was true to my horrible experience. Food is over priced, mediocre at best. The owner blamed us for our extrememly high bill claiming that we ordered À la carte. My $6.99 beligian waffle didn't come with a side so I was kind of forced to order a side. With that said, I got homefries and bacon ($4.00 for 2 slices) my sister ordered home fries and a muffin with her completely inedible blueberry pancakes that were so burnt the owner couldn't seem to understand why they were inedible. $60 for 3 people having breakfast is unacceptable, having immature, rude staff is also unacceptable. You should probably consider buying your staff black pens so that they don't write someones order in pink pen. read more

Fantastic. Great diner food, greasy spoon I would say. We try to go once a week. Tough to find, but worth it once you do. I see a few reviews that says the owner is tough on the employees. I don't see this. She is firm but fair, and if you "like" them on Facebook you will see she calls her employees "the kids", because they are just that. Wish I had a boss like her when I was 17. I don't think you can go wrong with this place. Very cozy feel, if you can find it. I don't think you'll have an excuse to go down Perimeter Road unless you work in that area or you're going to the airport. And, now, I present to you, a secret. I don't think anyone has mentioned this in the reviews I've read. Before I get into it, I'll just say that I've had the Benny here and some other things, and they're all great. Nothing special, but I don't think you'll have a bad breakfast or lunch here (I don't think I've ever really even had lunch here, however). The real secret is a gem they removed from the menu, and only God knows why. Ask for The Tower Sandwich. And it's been that long since I've had it that I can't quite remember it that well. It's a big ol' egg sandwich on a bulkie roll with (of course) eggs, bacon, cheese, and home fries. Make no mistake: the homefries are a game changer here. While I love a good old fashioned egg sandwich on an english muffin, this thing satiates like none other. Plus, you get to feel cool for ordering something maybe only some of the old regulars know about. One kind of downer about this place, and it's not the Cafe's fault, is that the airport is much less busy since ITT bought Daniel Webster College. Part of the experience is seeing the constant traffic of Cessnas landing and taking off, amongst other planes you might see. Living in Nashua, I can tell you that the constant sound of airplane engines is something that I'm completely used to, and when I go anywhere else, I'm kind of weirded out by not hearing that noise as often. Anyway, the flight program is being phased out, and there is far less traffic here. But, hey, you may get lucky and get to see the Gulfstream take off. read more

Best garbage I've eaten in a while. I don't know how they get their eggs to run brown liquid, and to make pancakes so burnt, because wow it's good. Takes pretty profession 14 years old workers to serve such fine nauseating food. But seriously, three people going out for breakfast should NOT be paying 60 dollars for burnt pancakes, eggs with brown liquid running down the plate, and a muffin from BJ's store. It gets better, the service can't be worse. The waiters didn't say a word besides "What? What? What did you order? What did you say? Huh??", Very annoying and rude waiters and owner. After the terrible meal, the owner had the nerve to blame us for "ordering the wrong food, that's why it was so expensive.". I'm sure I'm not the only person who thinks 6 dollars for two small cups or juice, and 3 dollars for 2 burnt pieces of bacon is unreasonable. Save yourself from regret, don't go here. Also, NONE of the food was fresh in any way, if you enjoy eating food you make at home in under 5 minutes but for 15 times as much money, come here, it'll be perfect. What a great place! and the food is good too! Had Sunday breakfast of eggs Benedict done with 1/2 crabcake, 2 lobster claws and 2 shrimp with a fruit cup side. It was really good. Fun atmosphere- pretty cool to see the planes land and take off. The place was fairly busy but not unmanageable. The staff were nice but not quick to get us coffee or make sure we had refills. I had the chili omelet and it was good. My husband ordered the special of 2 eggs, 2 pancakes and bacon. The pancakes were huge but they weren't very tasty- a little bland. We have been going to the Midfield Cafe for years. It is our Sunday morning breakfast haunt. The food is always good and now, with Sandy back as the owner, the family feeling that we like so much is back as well. It does get crowded at times but good eating places always do. But you will not regret a trip to this eatery. And bring your kids or grand kids too...they love the mickey mouse pancakes, the friendly atmosphere and the airplanes on display. read more

I'm giving this five stars because, after we told the waitress that we were there celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday, she brought a card with a scratch ticket in it as a birthday gift. She had never met us before, although we've go to this cafe every once in a while. How sweet! The food is good and the service is good, too! Oh, and my daughter won $5! My brother flew down for breakfast and called to meet me there about a month ago. It was hard for me to find, as there was no sign at the time, But once there, the service was prompt and staff was friendly, but most of all there was plenty of food and it was excellent, couldn't eat the entire meal! I wanted to follow up to corroborate a recent review by Tina B about this place. I happened to have accompanied her on a trip to have breakfast here recently. We were very excited about the place based on the almost universally positive reviews we see/saw here. Took a little while to find, which was exciting. Very tucked away off the main road and even then you have to walk behind airport buildings, sort of on the side of the runway and then upstairs through the mini-small town ticket counter for the airport (where the ticket counter guy looks up and says "Hi!"). Anytime one is in an airport you get that feeling of travel excitement. Everything seemed to be a point to a good potential experience, as evidenced by the amply positive reviews. Once we got up the stairs, I, not having the same mold sensitivity as my companion, did not detect mold myself. But I was a somewhat surprised at how small the place is. It is sort of like a diner in its size--which seemed odd. But I guess it goes hand in hand with the size of the airport in general which has a cute/cozy/small town feel to it vs dining at say, Jerry Remy's,at Logan Airport. I liked it---I could deal with this, I thought. The menu had tons of stuff --as expected. So, I ordered the eggs over easy with sausage patties and home fries. The waiter (a nice teenager) did not bring the side of pancakes that was promised by the menu but was prompt to do so when I reminded him. And WOW..this wasn't a side of pancakes--it was like two PLATE SIZED pancakes. Oh boy, I thought, a mountain of food! Well folks, this is where anything positive ended and what I can only describe as a huge and unexplainable gap on the part of many other reviewers seemed to me to be taking place. I do hate to have to do this this. But for what followed, I must. In fact, something most boggling and unexpected happened next that no one else seems to have experienced in these reviews--which is why I am at a loss on all this and must tell my story. When I took a bite of a big tasty looking piece of home fries in front of me, I was met with a surprise. There was a distinct taste of ....dishwater? I dont know how else to describe it. It seemed like dishwater. I thought about it. I reasoned with it. I tried to imagine what else it might be for a few minutes. It was dishwater. I looked inexplicably at my companion and she had the same feeling about her food. We stared at each other in disbelief. How could this be? I thought perhaps it might be the air. Or something going on in the kitchen. I extended my nose and tested both theories. Then tasted another piece of food. It was unmistakably / unbelievably..a dishwater taste directly in the food. Maybe I had experienced a rogue section of the plate where there was a stray spot of dishwater that made it this far. Unthinkable but perhaps forgivable. Nope. Each bite I took -- dishwater. And it wasn't as if someone spilled something on the food. It was IN THE FOOD! We were horrified. Most disappointingly, each bite of the gigantic pancake also had the taste. I could not eat very much of these gigantic plate sized pancakes. How utterly disappointing! (The pancakes themselves were a little under cooked--which I would have completely forgiven but for this other terrible situation). It was unmistakably a dishwater taste. I cannot tell you how disgusted this made me and my companion feel. We struggled to try to find any ounce of happiness, forgiveness, something, throughout all this. We could not find a morsel of anything positive. I could not finish. Not even half finish. Again, so disappointing...not to mention the sickening feeling we had to endure thinking about whatever it was we were ingesting. We could only conclude that the water was bad, and that this bad water, whatever it was, was being used in the cooking process. What else could it be? Every piece of food had this taste--except the eggs as noted by Tina, as well. The subtly shocking thing that also made us feel rather grim was --- how could anyone else on this list not be seeing or feeling this? Our bad day? But the place was packed. Did noone else taste this? Or maybe they were? It gave us a dark feeling and we were eager to leave and just go home to get something -- potato chips -- anything to rid our mouth / gut of this terrible taste. The runway view was cool and it was fun, as much as we could "stomach" any fun, to watch the planes taking off. But... Midfield, if you are reading this, please address the situation immediately. Something is very wrong and it needs fixed before someone gets very ill. Otherwise, this is something that could be very good. The place has nothing but potential for what it is and I think this obviously needs to be fixed. The one star is for the runway entertainment and the nice friendly waiters who did do their best, otherwise. read more

i am a disabled pilot who uses a wheelchair. i just called the cafe to find out if they are accessible and they readily admitted they are not. you would think this many years after the ADA was signed they would have at least made an attempt but it appears if you are in any way disabled you might as well forget going to this establishment because they are not going to accommodate you. read more
