The waiting area was very comfortable and they seemed to offer a good variety of frames and products. I was seen quickly for my appointment. There was a little issue with one of the machines during my tests, but the staff was efficient and helpful to one another to get the machine reset. The room where they do a few pre-tests has a tall "stool" chair to sit on for the tests which isn't the most accommodating. I asked if the chair could be lowered (since the test table can be lowered) and she could not lower it. I chose to stand for the tests, which did work, but it would be nice if a bit more consideration could be made for people who were unable to get into a tall seat. I did notice later that they had a little folding step stool nearby, perhaps that is their work around, but it wasn't offered to me. I still would have preferred a lower seat since the table could be lowered. I didn't opt to purchase glasses following my visit because my insurance didn't cover enough of the fees; however, I was given some advice about the product that I was planning to purchase (transition lenses) which I found to be very informative. I appreciated their no-pressure approach with the post-exam. Other offices (different brand) nearly hold your ankles as you try to leave without purchasing glasses through them. She simply assured me that my information was on file and that I was welcome to come in and look around if I were to change my mind.

The doctor who saw me was Jason Green. He was very kind and good at explaining what was going on. I got my pupils dilated, which I have never had done before. I have pretty bad anxiety, and I started to have a panic attack. One of my worst fears is not being able to see, so I think that caused me to start to panic. When your pupils are dilated, you cannot see up close very well. Dr. Green was extremely patient, and even though he was running behind, he let me take a break and helped me calm down, and made me feel better by telling me stories. I don't usually have panic attacks, and was surprised that this came on so quickly. He was very helpful throughout the whole process. The front desk gal took the time to run both of my insurances to get me the best price, which the screening ended up being free through my Blue Cross insurance vs Davis Vision. I just wanted to come on here and thank all the staff who helped me at my appointment. Thank you for making me feel comfortable and being so kind.

The patient was definitely not drunk or under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. It's pretty obvious when people are drunk because they reek of alcohol she was just there for an eye visit. I am not sure why the staff thought she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs because she clearly wasn't but they proceeded to call the police on her and tell the police that she was under the influence of alcohol yet the staff still treated her for her visit. If she was really under the influence of alcohol wouldn't medical professionals not be allowed to treat her? I don't think the staff would've treated her because it's probably a liability to treat a I patient that's under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I was an appalled by them treating her this way when the woman was just was coming in to get a new prescription for her glasses and I witnessed her behavior. She was not under the influence of anything for the staff to call the police on her is absurd and extremely unprofessional. I will never go here again after I witnessed how they treat their patients very unprofessional receptionist, staff, and definitely the medical staff. I don't know what this lady did for them to treat her this way, but she didn't deserve that and I will never go there again and I will tell all my friends and everyone I know how this poor young lady was treated and how no one should ever go to insight vision center off Lone Elm in Olathe, Kansas. Took my 3 year old here to get an eye exam. He was able to get pictures this time! The machine read her prescription as the EXACT numbers that he had recorded during his manual examination. The man behind the desk urged me to bring her back if there were any problems with her glasses. They ended up slipping down her nose a bit so I took him up on that. He fixed it in a matter of minutes and they have fit perfectly for the last 3 months!! I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I was and how grateful I am to this location.
