I have always appreciated the care I have received at Dr. McGee's office. Everyone has been…read moreextremely helpful and they respect my time. I am in and out of there in a very timely fashion. When scheduling procedures they have been very flexible and accommodating. Although I have only seen Dr. McGee himself a couple of times, his staff is very knowledgeable and professional. I would like to personally thank all of them for a job well done.

Dr. Frank McGehee is a great doctor. I trusted him and would have been happy to continue seeing…read morehim. However, with so few pain management doctors in Midland, it's nearly impossible to see him. During the two and a half years that I was his patient, I spoke to him only twice. Instead, I had to see his nurse practitioner, and that's where the problem lay. She (1) made lots of mistakes; (2) paid no attention to me when I tried to explain my symptoms; (3) was condescending and occasionally argumentative. Recently I tried to leave a message with the receptionist to ask Dr. McGehee to call me about a question before I had a procedure done. I spent about a half-hour on the phone with her, explaining what I wanted and why. Instead of simply passing the message along to him, she insisted she had to check my chart. Why? I've never experienced anything like that. I was asking for five minutes of the doctor's time. The best doctor in the world does me no good if I can't ask him a simple question. The next day, a nurse from the office called me. All I wanted to know was the difference between two procedures. Instead of answering my question, she threatened to cancel my procedure. I suspect that she was so snarky to me because she *couldn't* answer the question. I spent five minutes on Google and found out what I needed to know. It was a simple question with a simple answer, something a nurse in a pain management practice should have known. It's unfortunate that we have to travel to Lubbock to get good medical care.
