The reason why I don't have photos to justify my love for Midnight Cookies is because they're always gone in a heartbeat. Midnight Cookies are the cure to any ailment. Finals week, bad breakups, "Congrats! You just ran a half marathons!?" Give someone some Midnight Cookies and they'll love you forever. Midnight Cookies is a genius idea. Who does not love fresh piping hot cookies delivered to your door? The service is excellent. The staff will work with you to make every delivery extra special, by adding warm messages, milk etc. They work extremely quickly as well. Expect cookies in about 30-40 minutes! All of the cookies are delicious, but my favorite is the Mud Cookie. A warm dark chocolate cookie with a warm fudgy pudding center? Sign me up please!! The vegan cookies are also great and of course the cookies and cream is a crowd pleaser. Okay cookies served at an okay speed. When you have any late night cravings, this place is convenient since they're open late and sell a variety of flavors. They also deliver which is nice (especially if you're lazy/tired/studying, etc). But the quality of cookies isn't that great in my opinion. Even though it takes some time to receive them since they bake them after you order them, they still taste somewhat stale/old leading me to believe that their dough may be old. I do like the classic chocolate chip but some of their specialty cookies have tasted dry and old to me. Many of my friends who have shared in cookie orders with me have also found them lackluster. It would get five stars if it actually stayed open past 1 a.m.....late night cookie cravings that are alcohol inspired generally happen after 1 a.m. While they aren't the absolute best cookies I've ever had, they are pretty darn good. Never ordered delivery from them but in the store they don't bake them until you order. Which is awesome b/c you get oven fresh cookies but also a downer since you have to wait about 15 mins. Some of them are quite unique (such as the delicious maple bacon) or run of the mill (traditional peanut butter). Kind of high priced for cookies (about 1.50 for their specialty cookies) BUT they are unique and delicious so I think the price is fair. Midnight Cookies is one of the quirky perks of being a college student in Gainesville: a late-night, from-scratch cookie delivery business that crafts unique treats, including some which cater to the vegan/vegetarian crowd. An impressive feat in itself, but I fear a gimmick once enough time has passed. Service Call ahead. Let me repeat that, for those who have doubt: CALL AHEAD. This is not like your go-to pizza joint where you decide you're hungry, phone up a place, and 15 minutes later a hot pie is on your table. The delivery times on these, especially when they are busy (i.e. Friday and Saturday nights) can be 40 minutes or more. My personal advice is to just call ahead and pick them but yourself, but if you want the novelty of delivered cookies then be my guest. Food Reading the menu definitely builds plenty of anticipation for a really rewarding experience. Most of the offerings are unique compared to what you might find at a grocery bakery, and are most certainly more appealing than what you would settle for on the shelves of that same grocery. Rotating flavors, savory flavors and vegan options create a wide base for appeal to any fan of sweets, but I have to admit...whether it is the base used for the dough or the recipe itself, I find these cookies to be underwhelming more often than not. The pricing is definitely high for what you are getting, even if you pick them up yourself. They do make them from scratch and to-order, but between the thoughtless cardboard box used to package them to the general overly gritty and sugary texture of most of the recipes, I find them to be OK on occasion. Final Thoughts Midnight Cookies is a novelty that is worth doing at least once, but for the money I would most certainly rather create (or recruit someone who can create) some home made cookies with whatever ingredients I felt like putting in them. Having the delivery would be more interesting if they didn't come luke-warm in a cardboard box where you can visually see the grease that has seeped into the container. I think this place is just convenient, at a good location, and opens at the perfect hours when the sugar need hits people. The cookies are not extraordinary in my point of view. To be honest you can get all of their cookies at a supermarket and make them at home. I expected to find some original recipe since they have so many extraordinary names for their cookies. As you can see on the picture you have a basic sugar cookie and some topping on them. If you are not a chocolate lover like me and you are looking for something different, this is not the place for you. Oh my goodness! This is the best idea invented since swiss cheese! I ordered these at midnight, even though you can order from like 7pm-2am, and got fresh hot cookies at my front porch by one; it was awesome. I tried a little bit of everything with my girlfriends and they were so good. I love the Bananas Foster, Key Lime Pie, Apple Pie, S'mores, and Snickerdoodle(: You know what my favorite cookie is that is absolutely delicious? MAPLE BACON! I came here last night (around midnight, of course) with a friend to see how well the cookies measured up. The cashier was very friendly and eagerly gave me a run-down of the menu when I told him that it was my first time here. I am forever a fan of chocolate, so it's no surprise that I chose the Dirt Cookie: chocolate cookie with chocolate chunks and dollop of warm chocolate pudding in the center. Just writing this review is making me crave another! The store is relatively small and has space to seat 10-15 people max. I've started to notice the quality of the restrooms of the places I've reviewed and Midnight Cookies keeps things quite clean. If you want to hang with maybe one friend or two to eat a cookie it isn't a bad spot to chill, but this place is always busy it seems (I've seen it packed while driving by several time) so I wouldn't recommend sitting in. Ok so I'm not going to lie, I was a huge cookiegazm fan but today when their mobile ordering crashed and they wouldn't answer the phone I decided nah, I'll try midnight cookies and OMG BEST THING EVER. Cookiegazm's cookies are always raw, and I didn't mind it (because I didn't know I had a choice) but the cookies here are GREAT!! Slightly crispy on the outside with a soft middle, and I don't get a huge bite of dough when I eat them! Also the order was 20 mins earlier than expected AND all my cookies were perfect and correct (I say this because cookiegazm always messed up my order.) I'm so glad I gave y'all a shot, because this made my night. I'm sorry I didn't order from here sooner!!! And in addition cookiegazm prices are externally expensive, and Midnight cookies were priced just right. What cost me $11 including delivery at MC would have cost me $20 at cookiegazm!
