Another towing company referred me to MDFR. Seems they are buddies. Took my truck in and tried to convince me I needed a full reset but calling two other mechanics they said wait and just bring the truck home. Apparently, this doesn't resonate with another small business, that spending $7500 on a potential fix is normal. They recommend me conveniently to their sole go to for quick loans. Decline the service and ask for the work to get the truck starter replaced. They instead don't do the work, write it up as I decline. Charge me $900 for basically their diagnostics and then set my truck to only do 25 mph. This requires a new service call by another shop in the town who knew what crooked shop I worked with just by sharing the horror story of the day. I hope no one goes to this business. I hope no small owner operator is stranded and at mercy of their Buddy tow shop next door. It's horrible that these businesses prey on people and their money and are so audacious to program trucks at a retaliatory speed out of anger or intention to bring you back. Brought my vehicle into their shop and they said they'll start working on it the following day. In reality they only started working on it 2 weeks later. They told me the entire repair would take 2 weeks total. They were working on my vehicle for 1.5 months on an engine rebuild. After getting my vehicle back I only drove it for 2 weeks before the engine broke down and the truck wouldn't run. This shop is horrible, don't believe a word that comes out of their mouth. They price gouged me and did a terrible job. Had to take my vehicle in again to a different shop, and pay for a rebuild again. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THEM, YOU'LL REGRET IT!!! read more

We were passing through Kerrville in our RV and lost a transmission hose. We called Midnight Diesel and they were the only shop in town willing to even look at our rig. They also said they had a flat place for us to park and stay in our rig. That was most generous because we were exhausted after 5 hours waiting on a tow. They looked at our rig the next morning. Got the part shipped over night and had us on the road by 130 the next day. Chris, the owner, even washed our rig because it was covered with the transmission fluid. This Has to be the Worst Place in Town. They are Going out of Business. After Talking to Robby the "Owner" it seems as if they are paying $4,000 a month to rent out the Location, he also mentions he has to pay his employees on top of it, which I didn't think anything of until I realized I was being Severely Overcharged for the Work that was being done. Although I gave Robby a Budget for $1000 he still charged me over $2000!! However, I worked out a payment plan and paid it off in April. But just my Luck I have another vehicle in his shop, which was my biggest mistake because now Robby is using this second vehicle to inflate the cost of repairs Evan more than before. This Guy Is a Crook he seems really nice at first but the bottom line is he is after your MONEY. He no Longer Answers my Phone Calls which is incredibly unprofessional & threatens to charge me extra fees daily until I can move my vehicles which are not drivable since he did not repair them correctly. (IF Anyone Can Help Me Please Reach Out!!!) I let him know my situation after being laid off because of the Coronavirus. He had no passion for me and told me I had till the end of the day to get my vehicles off his property. I had a bad experience with this shop. After getting a full engine rebuild by them I broke down a couple weeks later in Florida and had another shop literally redo all the work. A lot of bolts where not torqued properly which causes the engine to fail. Coolant was leaking from the head gasket. Money wasn't the issue for me I didn't cheap out on parts I wanted the engine to last me. They promised me they were highly skilled mechanics just to get my business but in all reality I ended up paying double over 50k. Because of the horrible job they did. They didn't take any accountability for their screw up and just kicked me to the curb with no refund. STAY AWAY all they care about is money and not your wellbeing. read more

Brought my motor coach in to Midnight Diesel the simply have my start batteries load tested. The owner sent one of his guys out to the rig, disconnected the cables and checked each battery. Highly disappointed in the complete inconvenience this shop has brought upon me. I trusted them to fix my vehicles and after almost 6 months my vehicles are not repaired still. I paid $2000 and now I'm told that I have to pick up my vehicles or I'll be charged for taking space. So now I'm left with 2 broken down vehicles and down 2000. Most dishonorable shop. On our first road trip with our new Motorhome, we had generator problems, needed a couple new tires, a lot of diagnosing, even a new valve for our propane tank. We got held up for 3 days while they tirelessly worked on every issue. In the meantime they let us stay parked in their parking lot for 3 days AND plug our motorhome into their bldg. They allowed us to fill our RV tank w/water. They were Extremely professional, kind and VERY knowledgeable. Ask for Robby, he's the best. Talk about accommodating, WOW. I didn't think this kind of customer service still existed. I know it certainly doesn't exist in MN where we are from. Don't hesitate to trust this place with your rig!!!! read more
