Do NOT use this company to move your belongings. They moved my stuff Friday 04/30/21. It started with them being late I had to call and get an ETA. I was understanding of that due to the rain but they could've called me and told me. So the guy pulls up with a trailer attached to a pick up truck not an actual moving truck. The young man jumps out he's smoking a cigarette when they pull up he goes into my apartment and starts telling me the things they are not responsible for if it gets broken. I thought that was extremely unprofessional it made me feel like were about to come in here and break my stuff. So has he's walking through my apartment reeking of cigarette smoke he's hitting his clipboard against the walls so I say to him I'm not liable for the damages your causing to the wall with your clipboard. Now let's keep in mind I had everything boxed and placed in the front so all they had to do was move the items out. The other young man that was with him he moved slower than a snail on Sunday he acted as if he did not want to be their they even had my sons helping them move stuff if that's the case why in the hell am I paying y'all. The other guy dropped my box of drinking glasses and broke them and said it was because the box wasn't taped good. That's not true I head when he stacked the box and I heard all the boxes fall and heard my glasses break he brings it out and sets it on my dinning room table that they had sitting in the rain getting wet !! So now all of my drinking glasses are broken. They mishandled all my boxes, all my stuff was broken or damaged. I spent $425.00 to have my items broken and damaged all they cared about was breaking my item but when it came time to pay they were staring at me like a thief in the night. They took two and half hours just to load my stuff. They move slow just to rack up the bill , they are unprofessional!! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN !!! I will never move without help again!! These guys were awesome! Showed up on time and stayed until the job was done without charging me the extra time. They took direction well and put the boxes where I wanted them and were honest and up front about some of my boxes not holding up so well and telling me when stuff had fallen. I moved with Midnight four times in the past 6 years, will not use them again!! I have a 2000 Sq. Ft. house with minimum count but large heavy furniture. I ordered 3 men crew with 38ft truck for the order knowing I will have extra space. On Friday Mar 6th, I received a confirmation call for my move with no change. March 8th morning, two men with two 24" ft. trucks showed up at my door, when I told them I ordered 3 men crew with 38"truck, I was told there was schedule issue and they couldn't reach the office. I agreed to move since all things were packed. There was a lot of wasted empty space on each truck, my husband had to help with the heavy items during the move With 2 men and two trucks load and unload, the move took 6.75 hours compare to 4 hours with a 3men crew. My cost as a return customer was $763 ($119/hr*6.75hrs*-5%discount) compare to $528 (139/hr*4hrs-5*discount). Scheduled for 9-12 show up time. They arrived at 1:40. Already off to a bad start. Another crew picks up the slack (Thomas and another guy - first day). Usually you have two seasoned people. Initial move went efficient. Started to slow near end. Get unloaded was average pace. Move had to stop for overworking new guy but he trooped on. Called in reinforcements from Hurst home office. Starting at 1:40, I'm now moved in at 5:45. Longest move ever. Job was comp'd and much appreciated. Belongings were extremely well cared for. I call the day a fluke. I'd give them another chance. Good movers who work quickly and efficiently. The biggest issue I have with these guys and the reason I didn't give them 4 stars, is because I was given a window of time they'd be available as 10-12. I showed up on time to the storage unit ready for the movers. At 11 I called the company and was told they'd be there on time. At noon I called for a status update and was told they would be there in 45 minutes. I called at 1 and was told they'd be there in 30 minutes after picking up the third mover. Finally they rolled up at 2pm, four hours after my window started. Ultimately I didn't mind that they were late. I just wanted my crap moved. What really irked me was the fact that I was the one seeking out the status of when they'd even be there. When they knew they were going to be late the company should have called me to let me know. As it was I was literally stuck sitting in my car for 4 hours waiting for these guys to show up. Luckily I had a good book... until I finished it. Then I was stuck without much to do. The movers themselves were very nice and worked quickly. From start to finish they took 4 hours and that was with a 30 minute drive in the middle of all of that. I'd recommend these guys for their work speed, but I would caution against getting them if you're concerned about a time crunch. My main concern in the delay of time was that we would be travelling during rush hour and I didn't want to be charged for the extra time due to their tardiness. I called and was told if that happened then they'd take care of me. It ended up that we didn't have any traffic issues and I was happy to pay the full amount. The lead mover called the company and they decided to wave the fee for tolls since they were late getting there. I'm just not sure they would have offered that had I not called so often. We moved on 5-23-14 out of a 2500 square foot two story house. We hired two guys to help us load our truck, we got Tim and Zach. Tim and Zach were amazing! They completely took over and had us basically stand on the sideline and watch. They moved our heavy items like they were feathers, they arranged the items in the truck like puzzle pieces. When things wouldn't fit we watched them take whole rows out to rearrange it so it would be perfect. They worked quickly and efficiently together and had the truck completely full before the two hours was up. Since we had more stuff than would fit in our truck we needed to rent a trailer for the remainder of the items. Our movers finished using their time by moving all the remaining items into the garage so it would be easier for us to load up once we had our trailer. We had friends stop by to come and help us and were shocked when we said we didn't need help, our movers had done it all. It was amazing to move on a hot Texas May day and barely break a sweat because our movers did it for us. I used the book by email option and had no problems communicating with the staff. We even had to change our moving day because of a closing delay. We did it all by email and it was a smooth and easy set up process. I've used these guys four times, sometimes just labor with my own truck, and sometimes with theirs. I've never had a problem. They've worked efficiently without complaint. This time, however, my move was scheduled for the wrong day. When I called two days before what I thought was my scheduled move date to confirm, because they had not called me, I was told my move was scheduled for the day before it was supposed to be. Mistakes happen and I get that. But the way she handled it on the phone rubbed me the wrong way, and after reading these reviews, I see that the defensiveness, and pointing fingers at me is a running theme anytime they're confronted with an issue. So I guess my review boils down to this: they'll probably move you efficiently and with no nonsense, but if something goes wrong, they're probably not gonna make it right either. The movers (that showed up) were very polite and worked extremely hard. We had a Midnight Hour employee come and pack our grandfather clock a few days prior to the move, he walked around and looked at the house/furniture/boxes and said the move would take 6-7 hours max (which would cost $1600-$1800.) We were promised 6 movers and 3 trucks to move our house. The morning of the move only 3 movers and 2 trucks showed up. The movers worked extremely hard, however it was way too much for 3 people. After about 14-15 hours day 1, they asked if they could finish in the morning and we agreed that was best. The total cost of our move ended up being close to $2800 ($1,000 more than what we were quoted if they had actually delivered the 3 trucks and 6 people). The worst part of this experience was talking to Kika (sp?) Monday morning. We were very upset with the experience that we had (although I would like to emphasize that the crew was amazing). Her response was along the lines of would we rather them have not shown up and left us high and dry on moving day? When we were talking she kept interrupting and felt she did us a favor by actually showing up and not canceling the job. Extremely rude customer service and rather than trying to understand our concerns regarding the extra $1,000 cost to move she just kept interrupting and saying all of their prior promises were verbal and we had nothing in writing. I wasn't aware I would need anything in writing for them to honor their commitments, but if you are going to work with this company I STRONGLY suggest you do so to avoid extremely excessive charges. read more

This is the worst moving service ever. They get one star for showing up! However, I have never seen movers who move as slow as these men did. Quite frankly, in my opinion it was intentional. I mean how else would you rack up the time to make some money!!! There were things one mover was ok moving while the other wasn't. They loaded, and unloaded, & organized, & reorganized more times than I can remember...racking up minutes! When we arrived at my roommate's storage unit they wouldn't drive up the ramp, therefore they had to use the elevator again racking up time! Once we arrived at our final destination, they demanded 2 hours of prepayment because our time would be up in 20 mins. They argued with us for at least 10 mins so we finally prepaid them an hour and a half even though we knew good and well that it wouldn't take that long to unload, but only because they wouldn't unload our things if they didn't receive prepayment. Meanwhile, the clock was running. They offended me with one specific comment, which was very unprofessional! They took their time in folding their blankets or whatever they use to cover up the furniture. They unwrapped what was wrapped by our previous movers, hence wasting time & keeping blankets that weren't even theirs. We asked them to pull everything out of the trailer so we could help and they seemed to move even slower. They carried bins up to our apt, one at a time instead of loading up their Dolly's like all our previous movers have in the past. At times my roommate and I lapped them! Seriously, if you do this for a living, you should be able to streamline your job, but I guess not if you're trying to rack up some minutes to make some extra money! Oh, and the prepayment was partially reimbursed, because as we thought it didn't take 2 hours or even an extra hour like they had anticipated but they pushed that clock as much as they could...we did pay an extra $22.50 for 3 mins! Yes, 3 mins which again was spent arguing with the movers about the reimbursement. The whole moving experience was just the worst. When I called to complain I was told the manager Marcus would give me a call back. It's been 5 days and I have yet to hear back from him. My roommate has called everyday since and has not been able to get in touch with him nor has she received a phone call either. Again the most unprofessional establishment ever. Marcus in order to push your company to be the best it can be, you need to set an example! The sad thing is I didn't hire them. They were contracted by my apt locators who I will probably never use again because of this moving service. read more

Excellent, excellent service. What I feared would be a long move, wasn't. Their team arrived, and worked at a lightning-fast pace, to get the job done. Load and unload went well, as they were very courteous, and careful, with my stuff. They were happy to put any items on any floor, in any room, no questions asked. Okay, first thing first - I'm a procrastinator. This being said, here is my experience with Midnight Hour Moving on August 26, 2015. Second thing second, I realize I'm giving the end of the story first, but I feel this is the best way for people to see how their customer service is. To make a long story short for the time being, one of the moving men, Oliver, broke a three year old 55" Samsung plasma flatscreen. What was offered as an reimbursement? $24. Yes, you read that right. $24. Here's the story: I was moving from the Arbors on Forest Ridge in Bedford, TX to The Boulders in Hurst, TX. I chose MHM because they had great ratings on most of the websites I could find. I entered all of the pertinent information they needed, and it was decided that the moving day would be August 26th, 2015, and the agreed time frame that the movers would be there was 9 a.m - 12 p.m. Around 10:30 a.m. I called to see what the time frame would be, and they said that the guys were running just a bit behind. No problem. In, in all honesty, since I was at work, my mom was the one at the apartment waiting for the moving guys. Also, the AT&T crew was due at the new apartment around 2 p.m. 11:30 a.m., still not there. According to my mom, she received a call from one of the ladies from MHM, saying that they were on their way. 12 p.m., not there. 12:15 p.m., not there. 12:30 p.m., still not there. 12:45 p.m. finally. 12:45 p.m. is when they finally got to the apartment in Bedford. They were 45 minutes late by the time frame that their company had agreed upon. Since my mom had to be at the new apartment in Hurst to let the AT&T people in, she just hurriedly signed the documents so that Thomas & Oliver could start moving the stuff into their truck. Oliver & Thomas were able to get everything into the truck, and followed my mother to the apartment in Hurst. While Oliver was near the staircase outside, he was holding the television. In order to make room for someone to come down the stairs, he pressed the screen of the tv into the handrail, and it cracked. He then went upstairs and told my mother what had happened. Thomas & Oliver then wrote out a damaged report, which my mother signed, and told her that I'd need to file a claim on their website. Let the record show that both my mom & I know that this didn't happen on purpose, and that's why movers have insurance. Right? Thomas even took quite a few pictures of the now cracked television, and took down the make & model of it. When he did that, he told my mom that with this information, then they'll know what kind of a offer they can give us. After everything was brought up and done, my mom paid the agreed upon amount, and even gave Thomas & Oliver a $20 each. A couple of days later, I logged on to their website to file a claim, like I was told to do. The claim page starts off with this instruction: Be Nice - I was!!! I even wrote that mom & I both know that Oliver didn't break the television on purpose, and that we hope he wasn't reprimanded for it. Also, one the of the questions I had to answer: "What would make you happy with the settlement of this claim?" I wrote that I didn't want some $4,000 tv. I just wanted a new television that was comparable to what was broken. After all of that rigamarole, I received an offer in the mail. Due to the documents my mom had signed in a hurry, because they were 45 minutes late, she accidentally chose the liability option that only paid $.60 per pound. About a week later, I received their offer in the mail. $24 is what was offered. $24. That means after the damage report Thomas filled out, all of the pictures he took, all of the information I entered while filing the claim, none of that mattered because what my mother had signed. I understand that she signed the document, which means she agreed to the terms. But what I don't understand is how the movers could be 45 minutes late, which was NOT agreed upon, and we still have to pay them. Or, how Thomas & Oliver would actually have the gall to accept the tip my mom gave them, when they knew what outcome was going to be. Or how MHM could possibly think an offer of $24 for a 55" Samsung plasma flatscreen would be acceptable MHM, if you're reading this, please realize that the two movers got $20 each for a tip. That equals $40. Their tip is almost half more of what you're offering us - that is a sad, sad thing. Also, I have told EVERYONE I know about your customer service standards. I have also told this to the Arbors on Forest Ridge and The Boulders, in hopes that they won't recommend Midnight Hour Moving to any of their tenants. Based on my experience with this company and the so-called owner "Marcus" I would never do business with them. My encounter with Midnight Moving is very similar in manner to another review. This company was moving in another resident in the same apartment complex where I live. The movers arrived at 7am Monday morning which is in violation of the move in/move policy for this community. New residents are told that when they sign their lease. The movers parked the truck and trailer behind a row of assigned/covered parking spaces which completed blocked 6 cars from being able to get out of our assigned parking spaces. It was Monday morning so people are trying to get to work which is why you are not supposed to move in or move out until after 9am . Two of my neighbors had a very hard time getting the driver to move the truck so they could back out. The driver told one of my neighbors that they just started moving and she would need to wait. After a few choice words from her they moved the truck but the driver (some bald guy) mouthed off. The 2nd neighbor had the same problem but after over 5 minutes the driver moved the truck but he mouthed off the entire time. When it was time that I leave for work I experienced the same issue. I had to ask the driver and the other guy 3 times to move the truck and I waited about 10 minutes for them to move. Finally when the driver decided he would move the truck he walked by my car and called me an asshole. How am I an asshole for needing to get out of my parking space at my home to go my job? At that point I called the company to speak with the owner about the issue. I was told the owner wasn't available. After calling back 2 more times suddenly the owner was available. The guy I spoke with identified himself as "Marcus". The most unprofessional and unconcerned business owner I've ever spoken with. He decided the best way to deal with the issue is to just hang up on me. I called back to speak with him again and basically he just laughed at me and said that I just wanted to "rant and rave" and he hung up again. Really? That's how you deal with an issue as a "business owner" If you can't handle problems maybe you should close your doors. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. I can assure you that with an "owner" like Marcus and rude unprofessional workers you will indeed have problems. Yelp should allow a rating of ZERO stars. read more

If I could give a negative 100 rating I would. The movers did not wrap my brand new $1,200 leather couch & now it is destroyed. The company said they would give me $90 in compensation. That is complete bull****. My couch is ruined. It's been nearly 3 months since my move and I have yet to receive my measly reimbursement check in the mail. I have emailed and called daily for the progress about this check. The accountant (which is the owner's wife) stated that I would be charged a $35 fee to do a stop payment on the check. Which would leave my reimbursement total of only $55. They are careless because they can get away with it. And the owners condone their poor customer service, because even they have poor customer service. Kika, the owner's wife, stated that my couch isn't ruined because "it's still usable". Just because I can sit on my couch, apparently means that it's not ruined & therefore condoned her movers and her behavior. All I can say is WOW. This is unbelievable. We used Midnight Movers this past Saturday and they were great. I was called when they were about an hour out to let me know they are on their way. Trevor & Emmanuel got straight to work. They explained to me the service, I showed them what was needed to be taken, and they started to work. They double/triple checked that they got everything needed. Even though I boxed all of my stuff I appreciate how they wrap all the upholstered furniture. Then they followed me to the new place and got everything unloaded so quickly! The price was quite reasonable when they quoted it to me and then the service made it even better. They don't have hidden charges if they are moving you out of or into places higher than the ground floor. They only charge you for the time. These guys were quite friendly. Thanks! read more

I was referred to this company through move for free. I was awarded 2.5 hours for free thank God or I would be furious right now. Two guys arrived they were nice and on time.. 30 minutes into the move one of the guys asked to use the bathroom. Well of course you can. This dude stay in the bathroom for about 25 minutes...he did not have to do number 1... He had to do number 2... not only that it was the most horrible smell ever! So we are moving and having to smell the aroma from the bathroom.. Him having to use the restroom is not a big deal... However they ran 30 minutes over and I had to come out of my pocket for the overage. I think the time should have stopped f he had to use the restroom and take up that much time. I called to speak with the so called manager and from the very beginning she took up for them and not once showed any empathy for the matter. From the go she stated that I was wrong and that people can't control if they have to go to the bathroom. She called me back and stated the man said he was In there 10 mins so not only was bad customer service was given they lied as well... HORRIBLE company, I hired Midnight Hour to help move me from my house into my fiance's place. Shortly after they arrived, one of them "went to the bathroom" in my toilet. He left his feces all over the toilet and did not flush it. Rather than telling me he could not get the toilet to flush, he put the seat down in hopes that I would not notice this - absolutely disgusting! When I called their office to complain, she said "sorry that happened, I will talk with them about it." That is not customer service! I tried to get them to use hand sanitizer and they refused. Matt and Stephen came out (on their day off) and took great, great care of us and of the job. They did a fast and beautiful job of unloading the trucks and getting it all into storage neatly. My husband and I recently used this company twice. We were impressed the first time and went on to use them again. Customer service was great starting with the girl on the phone giving information to the two guys who physically moved the heavier items from my 3rd story one bedroom apartment in Grapevine to our new home 20 miles away. They even offered to carry some things for me when they saw I was carrying many smaller items to my car. When my husband moved the rest of our things from Michigan, he hired two guys to help him unload the moving truck. Two hours later, everything was in the appropriate room in our new home. They were prompt, efficient, hard working, and professional. The price was reasonable too. read more

Midnight Movers was the WORST moving experience I have ever had. My 1 bedroom apartment move took the movers 5 hours and they hit my chest of drawers to my bedroom suit on the top of their truck, punctured a canvas painting, broker another picture, cracked the headboard to my bed (which they did not even tell us about) and scratched up our stairwell. The owner hung up on us on the phone the day of the move when we called to discuss the situation. We were offered $90. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. RUN! read more

I had a pleasant experience with the man that set up my appointment. Sorry I can't remember his name. The movers arrived on time and were friendly. They accidentally wrote down the wrong amount that I was supposed to pay. After I told the movers that the amount was incorrect he called the office and they immediately fixed it. They began to move my stuff without wrapping my tv's or glass table. I was nervous but they are professionals so I didn't say anything. It took them no time to move my apt. I have a few scratches on my entertainment center because it wasn't wrapped. Also, they started to put my bed together and quit after I paid them. I had to move my tv from the coffee table onto the entertainment center by myself. I also had to fix my bed frame cause of the botched attempt job. I am in Selma Alabama taking care of my dying, disabled father who is an Army Vet. I had to move here at the drop of a hat leaving all of my furniture in storage. I reached out to Midnight Hour on Thursday of last week and advised the lady with whom I spoke of the entire situation. She advised that someone had to be at the place of delivery and that I was not able to pay over the phone as the person with the card had to be present. I reminded her I was in Alabama and she insisted that she could not accommodate me. It took me several days (today is Sunday) to make these arrangements. I took great pains to make the arrangements on my end both with the storage facility in question and with the place I will be storing my furniture. When we were setting up the appointment today 6/24/18, she also advised that someone had to be at the storage facility to sign a contract and whatnot. I was not given this information on Thursday. When I brought this to her attention, she not only spoke over the top of me, but she insisted that she would not argue with me and that she could not help me. I am now in a position where I may lose almost $8,000 worth of furniture. Totally unprofessional. I'm screwed. read more

Have used this company three times previously to do a local move. Very upset with lack of customer service that took place today. I was doing a 2-part move, with the second part scheduled a week and half ago to move items from storage to my house today. Much to my dismay I called an hour into what I believed to be my scheduled timeframe between 9 and 12 to check only to find put that the idiot that scheduled the original move did not do her job and save it in the computer system. No apology was offered for the mix-up. With it being difficult to get work off during the week I asked how they were going to fix it...and was informed they couldn't and would schedule for next time they had an opening. Thanks but no thanks...I'll pass. I will also never use your company again, nor give referrals as I have in the past. "i will never use this company again. i feel i was treated so unfair. after i was moved, the guys set up my washer and broke it as they were running it through the cycle. i reported it. the guys said they didn't break it. i even sent a video of the problem. even after proof in the video, they would not pay for all the damage there guy's did. i was out of $360 when i had to replace my washer. they did finally pay me $90. thanks midnight hour moving for the stress you have put me through. i gave you a one star only because you didn't have a zero star...... read more

Just had a move, used them in the past with relatively few issues. This last move, I had much fewer items, and it took an absurd amount of time. Called to just express my disappointment (they ripped my leather headboard and a 800Sq foot apt took 5.5 hours)--not asking for anything, and the "customer service" person was immediately defensive... and just agitated me by being incredibly defensive about "her guys" and that it was only "my opinion" they were slow. Not listening to me, just trying to discredit my complaint. With so many other options, surprised how terrible the customer service was. If you use them, pray nothing goes wrong or get a lawyer, because customer service isn't about addressing the issues, but unilaterally defending "her guys". I went from disappointed to down right upset by her attitude. If I could give no stars I would. Horrible experience!!! Midnight Hour Movers management needs to pay attention to the direction their business is heading and take care of their customers. The two guys that showed up this past Friday, July 21, to load my household items onto a truck from a storage unit in Keller were the ultimate worse! A two hour move that was quoted to me ended up being over 4.5 hours costing me more than double. The guys began charging me for showing up earlier than stated and when demanding cash up front before they would begin, which was over an hour after their arrival, they were on their phones non-stop chatting, texting, reviewing incoming texts and their bathroom breaks were numerous in which they had to travel to the office of the storage unit to relieve themselves. They directed traffic of others entering the storage facility while driving around our truck. Not only was this not necessary it certainly wasn't what I was paying them to be there to do. These guys were told over and again to work. I let them know I had two guys from Midnight Hour Moving a year ago who for more items coming from a smaller truck space where they had more walking steps from point A to point B, unloaded major appliances, hooked them up, assembled beds and completed these tasks in addition to unloading the boxes to each room designated within 2 hours as quoted. One of the guys said "well those were different guys." UNBELIEVABLE TO ME!! The imply seemed to be that the customer takes their chances in getting what they get! Then the guys refused to load the truck to capacity and as I directed therefor leaving many of my items off the truck and in storage. This move was from TX to VA so I am now faced with giving the items in storage away, going back to TX from VA to rent yet another truck and bring them back myself or letting the storage unit keep all. Lastly, I was told by Midnight Hour Movers office the day before the move that the guys would shrink wrap my furniture. Not one dresser, sofa, etc. was shrink wrapped by them and I am now unloading scratched wood, drawers falling out, knobs missing, etc. No move is easy....I get that! I have moved 4 times in the past 7 years and have used professional movers as well as contracted others to the loads, etc. This by far is the worst moving experience ever and I owe it all to Midnight Hour Movers KIDS who loaded my "home" Friday.
