Yep this place lives up to the hype. They do things differently than the cupcakeries in Georgetown, and the result does not disappoint!! We got 2 birthday cake cupcakes, and one black velvet. Both were of incredible quality and amazingly delicious. The cream cheese icing on top, along with the subtle and intricate flavors in the cake, lead me to conclude there is some master wizardry taking place in the kitchen. I was so excited to try these cupcakes based on all the good reviews they have. As soon as I walked in I was immediately disappointed because they only had about three flavored left. Not a huge deal and it was my fault for coming at the end of the day. Saturday's must be their busiest day. I would suggest coming early in the day. Back to the cupcakes- I tried the midnight cupcake and the sinnabon cupcake. These were fantastic! I ate the midnight first thinking it would be the best but the sinnabon one was hands down the best of two! It tasted exactly like a Cinnabon! Both cupcakes were very moist and fluffy. Charming from the moment I walked in. Hands down 10 xs better than Georgetown Cupcakes, where their cupcakes sit out and risk drying out (which they usually are). Here, each cupcake is displayed in a glass case including their 6 signature flavors and 2 special flavors of the day. We went for 3 out of the 6 -- Midnite, Playboy, and Black Velvet. I was dared to find a better cream cheese icing after the owner whisked our cupcakes from back in the kitchen. Did I mentioned he just happened to make a fresh batch of icing for us? You win Midnite Confections, I need not look any further. Each cake was so moist and delicious and fresh. My favorite was the Playboy - carrot cake with cream cheese frosting that melted in my mouth. I'd say it was a tie between the other two, each unique in their own ways. Loved the cream cheese surprise in the center of the Midnite and the chocolate buttercream was so yummy and not too rich. As a big red velvet fan I thought the the Black Velvet was a nice twist on the classic. Only one word can describe these cupcakes: amazing! My friend has been raving about this place for months and I finally accompanied her to try these cupcakes. I feel like I've been missing out for so long. How was I living before I experienced these cupcakes? We ordered 6 cupcakes - the tiramisu, 2 black velvet, 2 carrot cake, and the birthday cake. I tried the carrot cake first. I'm pretty sure I died and went to heaven. The cake was fresh and fluffy. I loved the cream cheese frosting. It was sweet without being extremely sweet. The carrot flavor was balanced perfectly with a hint of pineapple. My friend tried the tiramisu first and let me have a bite. It was excellent and I'm not even a tiramisu fan! I brought my boyfriend back the black velvet cupcake and he loved it. I can't say much about it, since he wouldn't even let me take a bite. That should be telling enough! He said the cupcake was a bit small, but I think they are the perfect size. Any bigger and I wouldn't be able to eat two! The service was great as well. It's fortunate that this place isn't super close to our house because I'd be here all the time. We'll definitely be making some more visits here though. read more

I don't like to rely on superlatives, but these were the BEST cupcakes I've ever tasted. Midnite, playboy, and full moon were all outstanding. Buttery, moist, divine. The frosting was just as rich and flavorful as the cake. And the lady and gentleman running the shop were sweet enough to give us some of their homemade coffee to wash down the cupcakes. I've tried a few different flavors, and each time, the cupcakes are over poweringly sugary sweet to the point where you can't taste the flavor it is supposed to be. You see, obviously there is something wrong with their business model, because they are called Midnite Cupcakes, but they are never, ever, ever open at midnight. In fact, the latest they are open is ten pm, on Saturdays. Call me anal, but I just think that's stupid. So they can't possibly make good cupcakes, right? Okay, so I stand by the part about the name, but unfortunately for me, the cupcakes are amazing. Insanely good. And I think the whole cupcake fad thing is kind of tired, but, well, damn, these are so good. Also, the way the place is set up is kind of weird - it's sort of hard to figure out where the cupcakes are, or what they are selling. Perservere. Really. I recommend sub-lime-inal. Omg those keto chocolate chip cookies and keto lemon and cream cookies were unbelievable !! I wish I knew the secret how to keep them so moist and yummy, with a perfect balance of flavors and monk fruit sweetener. I've been generally pretty disappointed with keto bakeries so far - one says keto but loads cupcakes with coconut sugar (not keto!), the other overloads their muffins with monk fruit (which is more erythriol than monk fruit - not good!). A close friend of mine literally RAVED about this place. I'm not sure it was the time of day, week or the moon was in transit through the wrong house but I was extremely underwhelmed by my experience. It was far from closing time and they had already run out of several flavors. And then for the good or bad of it we were required to wait while the lady of the operation whipped up a comparable concoction. Meh. I can make my own vanilla cake and strawberry icing cupcakes. People are drawn to variety and at $3.00+/- per cake.....They need to really do better. Friendly folk though. read more
