I threw a New Year's party here after the new year to celebrate for my friend. Typically bowling has been sky high. We initially wanted to go to the Atlantic Station Bowlero, but someone recommended midtown ball. I've decided we chose this establishment. They do have a full bar in their own specialty drinks as well as food options. You can get a little chaotic the later in the evening it gets because more adults are in there however we came around 6 o'clock. Most of the lanes were full or getting full, but I didn't place a reservation. The process for putting a reservation in on your lane is not terrible. They will email you your quotes and then you can pay it online and once your reservation is paid your booked. I was able to come right in and let them know who is booked. We paid for our shoes the day of. But the lanes were reserved in advance. The drinks are on the bar were good and strong. They do have top shelf options. The average drink is about 10 or $11. The food is fairly expensive but I did taste one of my girlfriends and nachos. It was good. They are accommodating if you want to extend the time on your lane. We had a great time. read more

Came here on a Friday night .... Promptly greeted by staff did 1 hour of bowling. Think it was $65 total. Had a decent selection of balls not the biggest I've seen but enough to find what you need. Overall, we had a great time at Midtown Bowl tonight! The pros: The bowling alley has a very nostalgic feel. There are 32 bowling lanes, tons of balls to choose from, a full bar with delicious cocktails and all sorts of canned beers, and classic bowling alley foods such as pizza and chicken tenders. I was thrilled that there were 5 different brands of hard cider. The cons: even though it wasn't a super busy night, they put us right next to a party of 10 with a bunch of kids. I would have been fine with this if the place were full, but it felt way too cramped. Additionally, it was way too hot in there. The real kicker, though, was that it cost $64 for an hour of bowling and two pairs of shoes. We probably won't come back due to the cost, which is a bummer because the place itself is really cool. This place is great! It feels very nostalgic. We got 2 lanes, as we had a group gathered to celebrate my fiance's birthday. They only gave us the option to buy lanes by the hour. The hour starts immediately, before you've gotten your shoes or concessions, so it's likely that you'll run out of time before you finish the game, especially if you have a big group. Someone told me that you can buy by the game, which I will do next time. The bartender took a long time, but it was manageable. The only gluten free food option was fries. Came here with a fairly big group for a social mixer event. We split the 14 of us between two lanes just fine and got 1.5 hours (came out to around $6+ dollars each including shoe rentals). A bit hard to find 9-11 pound balls but we got some. Apparently Thursday nights are bowling league nights so most of the lanes are full but there's still a few available on the right end. We had a great time - no complaints. Workers were very accommodating for our large group. Food seemed to be pretty decent and they even call out your name and lane over the intercom to pick up your food which is very convenient! There's also plenty of parking (check out the side lot) which is great. Will definitely come back! read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Bowling is decently priced but the food is absolute garbage, and they have the nerve to charge 20% gratuity on every order. The fried pickles were GARBAGE! The pickles were old and they were fried in OLD oil! There was a pool of grease from the pickle's leaking through the parchment paper into the carton. The Jell-O shots we ordered were crusty and stuck to the bottom of the cup (a paper cup, pictured in the photo). We ordered nachos and the chips were extremely STALE, with watery cheese. 0 out of 10 would not recommend. Go to Bowlero instead. Honestly just anywhere else, OVERRATED! I don't know who said this was luxury, but that is a LIE! Eat well before you come if you want to bowl. Visited 1/25/2020 - Met up with my friends who come here regularly and are avid bowlers. These guys will also bet on anything, whether it is a large game or something smaller like how many pins will this person knock down on their next bowl. Unfortunately, when I arrived they were already up to $100 each bowl, and the losing team would have to pay several hundred dollars in betting llorases and buy dinner. As you can imagine, this was an intense Saturday afternoon that was made my ugh better by the friendly staff and festive atmosphere. If you're looking to change up your Saturday routine, or want to do something chill, this is a good place to take start. Every time I go to Sweetwater Brewery, I pass Midtown Bowl and had never been until recently. My team wanted to bowl and grab some lunch and drinks during the day for a team outing, but Painted Pin doesn't open until the early evening. The parking lot is huge - no problem parking in the middle of the day on a weekday. By the time I got there, most of my team had already started bowling. Renting your bowling shoes is easy. Just leave one of your shoes with them. I've never had a bowling alley do that to me before but interesting idea. The balls and the lanes are fine. Technology for the bowling game is average. Not the most outdated I've seen but not the fanciest, either. We didn't have any issues. I wanted to grab a bite to eat so I settled on the chicken tenders. They didn't have Mac and cheese so I got the fries that usually comes with the tender basket. When your food is done, they will announce your name over the intercom. The chicken tenders were hot and fresh and crispy. Definitely a must order. The fries were just fine. You can order alcoholic beverages at the drink counter (separate from food). I ordered one of their specialty cocktails from the menu - Prosecco and OJ, although I forgot the name of the drink. It was pretty light - comes in a cheap plastic cup that you usually use for drinking water... They do not accept cash - must have had issues in the past. Make sure to bring card - which is what most people do these days anyway, am I right? Overall, Midtown Bowl isn't a classy establishment like Painted Pin, but it's got everything you need. Visited 6/21/19 Friday-Summer night in Atlanta with nothing to do! So we decided to go bowling. This was my first time at the Bowling Alley and I've lived in Atlanta my entire life, my family enjoyed our outing! Facility/Food- The facility was very nice, it was very and updated. Their are so many options of bowling balls and sizes to choose from. The Restrooms were really clean and stocked with tissue and soap and did I mention clean? lol. The jukebox is filled with every genre of music you can think of. The food is made to order and is very affordable concession stand type of food. Customer Service- The Customer service was great! The parking lot security was very friendly and was very attentive to the Customers in the parking lot. Most of the Employees are Black Men and has Customer Service on lock and every need of the Customer is taken care of. I needed socks.. they knew because I had on sandals they gave them to me and I hadn't even asked for socks, yet. The atmosphere is so fun!! My 17 year old and 7 year old really enjoyed themselves. The cost was $59.00 for the 4 of us to bowl 1 full game and 4 shoe rentals not including the snacks and the arcade games. Took my three kids there by myself on Friday around noon when school was out. Fantastic experience! We were greeted warmly upon entering and the woman at check-in desk was AMAZING! She entered all the kids names and mine in their bowling system and plugged in who needed bumpers and who didn't. They had shoes for all ages (even toddler sizes) that all looked brand new. Then she gave us light-weight bowling balls and brought a slide over for the young kids to use. Place was clean and well-lit with a lane left open in-between group to give space. My favorite part is NO arcade/video game area for my kids to pester me about playing - just the fun experience of bowling together! Will be back soon. read more

For customer service I wish I could give them 10 stars! This review is helpful for anyone considering hosting an event at Midtown Bowl. Living in Atlanta for so long I am familiar with Midtown Bowl. In the last few years I visit more since I live in West Midtown, plus they host an event for a non-profit my daughter is in (Kate's Club) every winter. I decided to have my daughter's 13th birthday party here after speaking with a few "entertainment centers" for quotes and options. Even though pricing was similar my options for creativity and preparing the space on top of customer service were exceeded here. Considering I was the crazy mom planning a party over 3 months ahead of the date and I needed a place that would allow me to make this a truly unique / special day for my daughter. From my initial inquiry to the moment we left the party I was thoroughly pleased with Midtown Bowl's options, service, and honestly... kindness. I was able to book my party and place additional food orders (for adults) 3 months ahead of time. About two weeks out I became annoying... I own up to it... and contacted them via phone and in person with questions... multiple (read a lot) of times. I stopped by a little over a week out to discover they remolded the party room area (freaked me out for a moment). Instead of one room they added removable walls to allow two parties at the same time. I love the space and it allowed me to set up earlier than originally planned. Even though their kid party package includes plates, cups, and plastic ware I used my own to match our theme. They still kept backups nearby just in case we would need it. We decorated the bowling lane tables and the party room before the party started which allowed us to focus on our guest. Most important to me it allowed my theme to truly flow. The only thing I would suggest as an improvement is a heads up reminder 10 minutes before the food comes out. We lost track of time socializing and bowling. I looked up to see a cart full of food (to feed 35 kids and adults) being rolled to our party room. It took about 10 minutes to get everyone in the room which had our food getting cold. I dealt with two different managers during our party. First Ester (I think that was her name) and then a male manager. Both were upbeat, helpful, and consistently checked on us. Anything I needed from a cake cutter to extra balloons to extra pitchers of drinks was quickly brought out. We had a great afternoon bowling at Midtown Bowl. It was packed on a Saturday afternoon, but luckily we didn't have to wait for a lane. I noticed people after us coming in with a reservation or having to wait for a lane, so plan accordingly. The crowd was diverse. Adults and some families. My crew had kids on this occasion. When we paid they asked us to write our names down and they input everything into the system for us. They even denoted which players were kids so the bumpers would automatically come up on their turn. I love technology! We ordered food, and since it was so busy it took a little longer than I would have liked. Once the food arrived I was happy. It was pretty good. I had a yummy patty melt and fries. The kids had chicken fingers and fries and seemed happy. The music was just loud enough to enjoy, but not too loud so we couldn't hear each other. I like Midtown Bowl primarily for three reasons: (1) it's located close to my home in Midtown, (2) it's open late (until 3am daily), and (3) the staff is friendly. Midtown Bowl might be located in a seedier part of town, but that's what gives it its charm. While the lanes have been renovated and the look has been cleaned up over the years, Midtown Bowl still gives off an old-school vibe. Shoe rental is $4.50 per person. You have to give up one of your shoes to rent their shoes. This works in two ways: (1) it prevents someone from stealing your shoes since there's only one shoe laying around and (2) it helps Midtown Bowl cut down on lost bowling shoes. Came here with the family around 3pm on a Sunday. There were only one or two other groups there. Service was great and they spaced parties appropriately. All of the staff were nice and helpful. This is a solid option for bowling over other places. I didn't eat, but my whole family did and everyone liked what they got. I saw wings, burger, fries, chicken tenders, tater tots. Parking was abundant and a security guard was in the parking lot the whole time which is encouraging especially in this area. No complaints at all! read more

The bartender was terrible! The customer service from her was not good at all. I was invited out by some friends and didn't realize they only took cards. I left my card at home, and only had cash. Which I asked if I could leave a deposit vs one of shoes because of the type of shoe it was (louboutin) they refused still took my shoe , damaged my shoe and it has been over 3 months they said they would pay for the damage and now they have been ignoring me. Come to find out THEY DO NOT HAVE A POLICY FOR YOUR SHOES THEY TAKE. Since this has never happened before ! My friends and I briefly had a pseudo 'bowling league,' where we just drank and bowled a lot . .. and one friend made us these awesome wifebeater league shirts. But we would always go bowling places that are not close to in-town. Joyous was the discovery of Midtown Bowl! And even better was the retro exterior . . . definitely renovated since the 1960s but still with the same feel. One of the main reasons to love this place is that they are open 24 hours a day. Bowling need strike after the bars? Need a cup of coffee and to get a game in before work? Yes ma'am, they will indeed be open.
