Because I was not given anything in writing, I checked back twice both in person and on the phone to reconfirm the date of service. A pick up time of 4pm was confirmed. The day before I received a call from someone I could barely understand and was told the pick up would now be at noon the next day. Two men arrived in a van and took my sofa and the expensive, custom ordered fabric, along with a check. Later the same day the son of the owners at Ace called to make sure I was home because they were on the way to pick up my sofa! I was shocked to learn they had no knowledge of the earlier pick up! After much confusion I was told that they had indeed sent someone else to pick up my sofa and were sub contracting the work without my knowledge or consent. They would not tell me who these people were or where their shop was located, but assured me the work would be completed on time and to my satisfaction. The sofa was delivered yesterday and I'm extremely dismayed at the quality of the work. Seams along the piping are now puckered where they were once smooth. My beautiful, $95/yard fabric and $750 in labor wasted. Do NOT trust these people with your furniture.
