I was tattooed by Tania and had a great experience! Unfortunately the day of my appt I was in an accident on 17 and had to cancel last minute, but she was so understanding and gracious about it. When the time came for the appt she took her time making sure the stencil and placement were perfect which I really appreciated. I can't decide if my favorite part was that the tattoo bed was more comfortable than my mattress at home or the fact that we talked about books the whole time. I paid 1480.00 to the Tattoo Artist Selena, she is now refusing to complete it based on the fact that, I complained about her poor non respomsive customer service. I have a huge unfinished piece now permanently on my body from almost my hip to knee. The shop owner Kelly made absolutely no effort to reach out to me to hear what happend. It should not take an Artist a month to get back to an existing client, especially a client paying 200.00 / hour. I have requested the shops general liability as well as all my documents and they refuse to send them to me as well. Just because someone signs a waiver does not mean you are not in breach of contract, that is foir the claims adjuster or attorneys to decide. Unprofessional all the way around. I wanted a civil resolution and just my tattoo completed and now it's come to this. I would think as a shop owner you would do your due diligence before siding with an Artist, there are 2 sides to every story. Unbeleivably unprofessional and heartless to leave me in a position like this. I would not ever reccomend this shop to anyone, no matter how good the artists are. UPDATED REVIEW I called the Sherriff on 8/15/2025 and came into the shop with a civil standby. After the fact, on 8/16/2025 then you called SCPD and accused me of harassment, which is not true. Kelly, you have made absolutely no effort what so ever to resolve this civally. When I spoke with the officer he even stated that it did not sound like I was harassing that it did not sound like harassment. I was merely stating that a customer that pays $200 an hour deserves to be treated with respect and called back or responded Selena was not doing that, in a timely manner. Had you called me When I requested it several times we would not be here on yelp now Is my right to have documentation forwarded to me that I've signed and if you don't want to provide it, that's fine that your claim adjuster or the attorney will get a hold of it. Just because you think you have the right to refuse service, I did nothing unlawfully. She sent me her insta so I was able to browse her work before my appointment. She was very kind and chill. It was like going to a good friend for my tattoo. I have been following Tania's work for some time now. There is no doubt in my mind she is a talented artist. I sought her out for a cover-up piece in 2019. I wanted to basically redo my Sorcerer Mickey tattoo with more pizazz. Tania nailed the concept with very little direction, I am not an extremely creative person. The entire process was nothing but professional. My piece took roughly 3hrs and the entire time we discussed Disney and Harry Potter. At the beginning of 2020, I reached out to Tania again to do another nerdy piece for me. I love the details in her work. I had such a great experience previously that I knew I wanted her to do this next one. Unfortunately, covid hit 2 weeks before our scheduled session. Tania contacted me promptly and said we will reschedule as soon as things let up. She even offered up a refund for now. I passed and asked for her to hold on to it for the reschedule. Over the course of last year, we had to reschedule at least two times because of state regulations. Tania always gives ample notice and is willing to communicate. We finally scheduled a date for this August for my next piece and I can't wait. I even have briefly worked with Kelly. Because of Santa Cruz Covid regulations, and having to push my tattoo with Tania so far out, I asked Kelly if she would draw up a piece for me, so I can have an artist in my area tattoo it. She did just that. She drew up a pair of Disney inspired candy corn, and I had an artist in Chico execute it. I love her style and her love for Disney too. All I can say is I love the women of this shop. It's rare in this industry to see a shop run by all women. They are definitely a go to for me. I can't wait for my next piece with Tania. It is fully healed and I now have a scab from her "work" and half my tat isn't even visible. Reached out to the artist PISSED where she told me a sob story about how mistakes happen and she can redo it. I do appreciate the owner reaching out as well and offering to fix it, but why would I even trust to go back to y'all when my tat looks like this?? And now I'm scarring??? I have over 10 tats and NEVER have I had to go back to a shop. Unless I need more than one session, I shouldn't have to return to you to get some sh!t fixed you messed up in one go! It's an easy simple tat, just say you suck at fine line tats and move on. I reached out to Lauren after finding her profile on Instagram. I got a pretty quick response and she was easy to schedule with. It had been a couple of years since I got a tattoo and I was a little nervous and not totally sure the exact placement or size of the image that I wanted. Today was 3rd appt at good luck tattoo. Tayo has done 3 tattoos for me within the past 3 weeks and I have never been happier with a tattoo artist and their work. Tayo's work is original, he is a true master of his craft. During all 3 of my tattoos, he was communicative through the consultation process, offered his artistic advice and true opinions. I have come to Good Luck Tattoo for the past year seeing Tania. My first tattoo session with her, she did this incredible Skeleton on my forearm. I was then hooked and have had three more sessions with her finishing up my half sleeve and working on the upper sleeve.
