Many folks around town have raved about this little restaurant bar so we gave it a shot. Service…read moreupon entering was welcoming, many open tables and lots of seating options. The bar was quiet, calm, dark and cold but seemed like a chill vibe. Our waitress was okay, service was quick and she did her job well but didn't smile and wasn't very talkative or seemingly friendly. We asked what her favorite appetizers were and we ordered the Loaded Potato Balls based on her recommendation - they were great! 10/10! Loaded with flavor, very moist and served with 3 sauces - ranch, spicy ranch and sour cream. The ranch and spicy ranch were not great - tastes like they're bottled not homemade. The sour cream though, that was a good compliment. We both ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich - 10/10! They're hand breaded, juicy and tender chicken breasts topped with lettuce, tomato and mayo on a perfectly warm brioche bun. Our meal was served so hot, it was perfect. I would absolutely go back just for this sandwich! The homemade chips for the side were great, crispy and lightly seasoned. I had the tater tots with mine and they tasted freezer burnt, wouldn't get them again. We also had a side of their house made coleslaw and it was perfect, ice cold and a great balance of flavor. Draft beer wasn't super cold - it would be better served in a frosted glass. Overall- it's good, we'd come again! Next time we'd sit at the bar top as the bartenders seemed to enjoy more casual conversation and friendly vibes with their customers.

Better than I anticipated…read more Good service, great beer selections, including several great craft beers and plenty on draft beers, and pretty decent appetizers. We had the pretzel app and it was plenty for two to split. It didn't truly seem like a sports bar- and that's a great thing- I typically dislike loud sports bar places.. Definitely a decent spot for a beer and app!

What a great surprise to find an absolute fantastic sports bar. Tons of TV's fill the walls of the bar, immersing you in a many viewing options. The biggest and best surprise I've had coming here though has to be the food. I've had the pizza and then most recently their version of the Monte Cristo. Of course, the gold standard for me for this sandwich is the Bennigan's version. Is it really the best? Probably not, but it's what I remember loving growing up and what I hold all future Monte Cristos against. This one was very good. On one hand I really enjoyed that it was crispier than I've had before, but I think it did change the flavor a little especially dipping it into the raspberry jam. The only real knock I have on the place is their craft beer selection. Kind of plain Jane. Wouldn't mind having a couple more exotic choices to the list. But that's just a minor issue and really doesn't take away from the overall great experience. Great staff, great service, great food and a great time.

Having said that, if it had come with pickles it definitely would have amped up the flavor profile of this burger and made for a better sandwich in my opinion. Possibly something to keep in min d and ask for if you go the Burger route. Aside form the burger, I ordered an Old Fashioned with Makers Mark Bourbon as the base for my cocktail. The drink was well made and quite tasty and a deal at $11 in my opinion. Aside from the burger there were an assortment of food options that I would classify as Elevated Bar food bordering on a Bistro style Menu that looked very interesting. Nice! The bar itself has a dark vibe to it to go along with the Western accents making for a nice ambiance to enjoy your drink/food. Plenty of tables running along side their massive bar and numerous TV's scattered about to allow you to watch the big game. Staff is quite friendly with good follow up throughout the meal. Overall a nice place to enjoy a well made drink and grab a bite to it. Its central location in the business district is also another huge plus if you want to make an evening of it in downtown Brighton.

A pleasant surprise…read more About a week ago, I was out with my friends and we were looking for a chill place to just hang out and have a few drinks that wasn't too crowded when we happened upon this quiet little hangout rather by accident. For some reason, it seemed everyone in town was out that night and each one of our preferred watering holes was either too crowded or just felt meh to us. After meeting up in Flint Township after work, we were struggling to settle on an ideal, perhaps new, place that also served decent bar food, but was laid back and not filled with Nascar fans, dbags or overly drunk 21 year old girls. After ditching two other establishments because they were not our scene, we came across Vic's Place, quite by happenstance. Vic's Place was definitely the answer. Located around the back of the new Ruggero's location (with a separate bar entrance), Vic's was a nice, quiet alternative. It wasn't a lame sports bar or dive bar, just a quiet pub with good food and drinks. The food was quite good and the menu was fairly extensive, ostensibly because the food comes from the Ruggero's culinary team. After all, they are located within the same building. The food menu featured a lot of pasta dishes and specialty pizzas, as well as the basic tenets of bar food, namely burgers, sandwiches and deep fried appetizers. I split a ginormous order of loaded nachos, heavy on the traditional fixings with a pretty decent hot sauce on the side. My friend, Jen, ordered a personal margherita pizza and while I didn't sample her dish, it looked great, plus she said it was quite good and would order it again. Vic's had an extensive list of beers on tap, which I like in a bar, as well as a nice selection of craft beers. Draft beers came in two sizes- big and humongous. Guess which size I had. Anyway, the beer and wine lists were impressive and the cocktails, while they took a long time to hit the table, were fun, inventive and decidedly not on the weak side. The Old Fashioned was a good classic, strong, but subtle in all the right places. I'd order it again in a heartbeat. My friend, Jen, asked the bartender to "whip up something unique." She was not disappointed. Her nameless concoction was an ode to a Manhattan, but with a twist. I tried it and she was right- it was sublime. I liked the atmosphere. It was laid back and quiet, despite the fact that there were quite a few people in the place, seated up at the bar and at tables. The bar had a jukebox. That was kinda interesting. It wasn't something you see everyday. As for decor, there was a fire pit near our table and the bar was outfitted with a mix of high tops and low tables, with a slightly elevated seating area near the jukebox and the fire pit, which was where we were seated. Be careful when you step down or you'll trip, especially if you're a bit inebriated. The service was a little slow and it definitely took a little bit longer to receive our food than it probably would in a typical dive bar or a greasy spoon, but it wasn't that bad and there was only one bartender on duty pretty much the entire time we were there. Plus, the food was clearly quite a few notches above basic bar grub, anyway. Prices were on par with what one would expect. The draft beer specials were cheap and well worth the extra money to order the larger size draft. I will definitely be back. Our group came in with low expectations and left with any preconceived notions about the place completely shattered. Definitely a nice place for a quiet drink with friends after work or happy hour.

Here is the problem... the bartender gives this one Ding Dong at the bar the remote to the music and he cranks it so loud that you cannot talk to the person next to you. The strawberry salad dressing was delicious too, although the chicken on it was a little tough and dry. The fish and chips were great too. I love the bows they put on the lights and how they line the shelves with decor! It definitely adds to the cozy vibe. Our server Jennifer was great too. She matched the ambiance perfectly with a confident, relaxed vibe. Very attentive and honestly one of the better servers I've had this holiday season. One update from my earlier visits: prices have definitely crept up a bit, and they now add a fee for card transactions. Not my favorite surprise at the end of the bill, especially at a place like this. That said, there's still a ton of variety on the menu with plenty of options, plus some more upscale entrées if you're feeling fancy!

My Son got the Sunrise Burger, which was slightly under cooked. Our server never came and asked if we needed drinks or to check on us until she saw the card on the table to pay. Another thing that was strange was the hostess walked by while I was talking to my Son and (i assume it was a piece of trash she grabbed off of the table) but did it so quickly it was odd because 1 -I was unsure of what she did at first and 2-her hand was super close to my plate ...... Nope, no thanks - asked if she wanted me to take it off the bill - I told her not to bother because why bother after it had been paid for??? She apologized and I told her it was not her fault she did not cook it - her response (as she is laughing) "you're right I didn't!" I will not be going back anytime soon
