Many folks around town have raved about this little restaurant bar so we gave it a shot. Service upon entering was welcoming, many open tables and lots of seating options. The bar was quiet, calm, dark and cold but seemed like a chill vibe. Our waitress was okay, service was quick and she did her job well but didn't smile and wasn't very talkative or seemingly friendly. We asked what her favorite appetizers were and we ordered the Loaded Potato Balls based on her recommendation - they were great! 10/10! Loaded with flavor, very moist and served with 3 sauces - ranch, spicy ranch and sour cream. The ranch and spicy ranch were not great - tastes like they're bottled not homemade. The sour cream though, that was a good compliment. We both ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich - 10/10! They're hand breaded, juicy and tender chicken breasts topped with lettuce, tomato and mayo on a perfectly warm brioche bun. Our meal was served so hot, it was perfect. I would absolutely go back just for this sandwich! The homemade chips for the side were great, crispy and lightly seasoned. I had the tater tots with mine and they tasted freezer burnt, wouldn't get them again. We also had a side of their house made coleslaw and it was perfect, ice cold and a great balance of flavor. Draft beer wasn't super cold - it would be better served in a frosted glass. Overall- it's good, we'd come again! Next time we'd sit at the bar top as the bartenders seemed to enjoy more casual conversation and friendly vibes with their customers. read more

The reviews lead us to the Bus Stop and we are glad it did. The food was good, and the service was great! The full parking lot at lunch time was a good indication that it was going to be good and we weren't disappointed. Rolling into the bus stop to get away from the chaos of the birch run area. We arrived right at opening with one waitress and she was rocking and rolling with 7 tables. Calm, poised and efficient she kept the whole place moving. Lots of TVs so your ESPN random sports heart can be filled. Volleyball, beer mug straight arm, racing all playing. Place is clean- floor was freshly mopped before opening and the bathrooms didn't look like a bus stop so that's a good thing! We ordered the crispy chicken/ bacon ranch wrap, burger, cheese curds, and slim. The fresh chips are solid and food was great! I was encouraged when I walked in. The Bus Stop is clean and well kept, just dark enough so you know you're in a bar but not so much as to make the place tomb-like, as is the case with some places. The turkey reuben I ordered was less encouraging. The meat was obviously packaged lunchmeat grade, very thin sliced, perfectly round, and a bit rubbery in texture. It was also very sparse, as was the coleslaw. You could say, "What do you you expect from place like this? It's not a gourmet sandwich shop!". But even other bars serve turkey that looks fresh sliced and not so thin. And they use more of it. One star for the bird-on-bread. I'll give it two overall because of the atmosphere, decent service, and a fair selection of craft beers on tap. Maybe this is a fine place to get a burger, a chicken sandwich, or a wet burrito, but I doubt I'll be troubling myself to find out. read more

So it is off the path a little ways and hidden but when you fond this place it is worth the drive, when we pulled in I noticed not alot of ppl here and when we walked in it wasnt packed and very quiet but they had the Lions game on but music in the background. I ordered a beer called "Forbidden Fruit" which is by the Frankenmuth Brewery which was amazing and then I ordered the Black & Blu Burger when it arrived it looked delicious but biting into it was a whole other experience. This burger was cooked with excellence, I ordered it Rare and when it came out the bun still had blood on the bottom of it, it was so amazing and the blue cheese was amazingly thick and cheesy. The fries were nice and crisp. The food here is amazing, the ppl are friendly the service is inviting and it's not loud and overcrowded I could totally come here way more often if I didnt live so far away. Terrible customer service and recovery. I cut my finger in their ladies room because they don't have a handle on their stall door. My finger was gushing blood and they gave me a band-aid and said that girls bring them the inside latch on the door all the time because it falls off! The latch is sharp and is what cut me. Mayb that'd be a clue to fix it!! When I asked if they would take a drink off of my $37 bill they refused! They should have paid my whole bill because that's the decent thing to do when your customer gets injured because of your negligence. I filed a complaint with MIOSHA. Will never go there again and have told friends not to!!! read more

We came here after a long day of walking and shopping! First walked in and it's a typical bar but friendly atmosphere so we found a table by the bar! There was a band playing and they were really good! Now on to the food! My sister and I got the burgers and Omgosh they are about one of the best burgers I've had in a while! They are juicy and taste so fresh not frozen!! We both got the steak fries and I got a side salad. My mother got there hot beef sandwich (Manhattan to most people) and mashed potatoes and Omgosh again so good. Best one I've seen around in a while. Usually they come open faced roast beef but I prefer the actual sandwich!! Good sized portions. My sisters boyfriend got the nachos they also looked really good! Our waiter at T Dubs in Frankenmuth recommended we eat here after we asked to eat where the locals eat. It was horrible. Never offered drink refills and the queso was like water. An expensive mistake and before you ask, I still tipped 20%. We traditionally like to ask about more local places when we travel but not in this area. We will stick with the tourist spots. I've never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant before. We had a large group looking for tables and we were confronted by the aggressive and threatening bartender. A huge scene was made by the staff, who even sent the owner over because our party sat at two different tables, even though there were 'reserved' tables marked and large groups saving seats all over the place. Super embarrassing and uncomfortable. We did get a drink and some food and were presented with our bills without being asked. Clearly we were being kicked out. This place seemed out in the middle of nowhere but exuded a welcoming atmosphere. We picked our own table and were quickly greeted by our server Liz. She promptly took our drink orders then our menu selections. Liz was attentive throughout our meal. After a short wait our food came out hot, so hot that we had to wait a few minutes to eat! This restaurant has a neighborhood feel, not fancy but friendly with great service. We were in the area and wanted something other than the chains or the all you can eat chicken restaurants. Power is out in Frankenmuth so my mom and I went here on a Monday night at 9:30 (there were a couple guys on there and a waitress). Chairs were put up around us and the bartender gave us last call after about 25 minutes. The bar apparently sponsors a bowling team and a couple of the bowlers came in, were first told no drinks, then were told, "You can have ONE drink.". I tipped her $7 on a $15 even though she sucked....no "thanks". I've been a bartender for 13 years. She SUCKS. She could've made and extra $50 off me tonight by just letting me finish watching the Monday night game. I know pickin's are slim around there, but c'mon.... read more

Haven't been here in years. It was a nice little dive back then. On a whim we stopped in tonight. The improvements were obvious immediately. Much brighter and you could see thought went into the decor. Just grabbed a beer and a pretzel appetizer. The pretzels were pretty good and will make even better croutons in a day or so. The garlic dip was a variation on a local recipe that floats around. Good stuff. Will be back. read more
