I had such a great experience here at Midway with Manny Madrigal . Such a GENTLEMAN. He took extremely good care of me and my situation. He was mindful of how I was visibly upset and reassured me that "all will be okay". The truth is I had dented a car that I had rented here... but the team here was very gracious and truly made me feel ok about the situation. I can't emphasize it enough ; please do yourself a favor , get the added insurance they offer. Again HATS OFF to Manny for making me see that I was drowning in a cup of water. I took my car in to repair at the Hyundai dealer down the street and needed a car rental. The dealer suggested Hertz but I checked the reviews on Google and Midway had a lot better review so I went there and said and I'm so glad I did. My morning started out terrible. I was regretting going to the dealership to drop my car off on a Friday. I was dealing with back to back grumpy people, and then my day started to turn around after Jonathan came and picked me up from Midway. We had a really pleasant conversation on the way back to the office and my mood started to turn around in a more positive way. And then I hit the jackpot with Harry! MIDWAY CAR RENTAL in Van Nuys was very easy to find, had an easy pick up and drop off process. There was no line to get in the building or get service. There is plenty of available parking spots outside the building. The rental rates are very reasonable. We got the car that we reserved online. I been very disappointed with this rental company have had many good experiences with them but this time was horrible last experience was really good no issues I was referred to my body shop . They only used my card last time for DEPOSIT only!! So I assumed this time I would get same treatment man was I wrong but usually they use your card for deposit and I looked my cc statements and I see charges of my card for 2k not deposits charges and I see charges for when I extended the car when I didn't get charged last time . And I asked for specific charge that I didn't approve and the guy deveon said the manager extended my rental without consent cuz I was calling extende it Friday he said the manager already did it for Monday without asking and charged me each time I extended and didn't notify I was getting charged !!!!! I asked I want speak manager they said harry did it and the manager deveon who extended my time said he couldn't refund me if I took the car back Monday and she extended it for Friday . Sounds so sketchy especially since I never approve 2 charges . I been calling since Saturday it now Tuesday no has called me back and gave me an answer I hope they can make this right cuz i wrote a good review on google ima change now do better guys especially when a customer why you charging something especially 2k in charges !! midway rented me a car for 7 days and the 2nd day maintenance light goes on. They were told I was going up North sacramento and it was a 7 hr drive. I told them was the car in good condition and is everything was ok, they said yes HELL NO, I was riding in a car that had red lights going off and on I made a call and they said don't worry about it, bull crap I didn't even drive while I was up north, once I came home, 5 am driving I was so anxiously pissed off the car felt heavy lights going off and on. it was crazy. Theres is a Enterprise and Hertz car rental not far from this location on Van Nuys and I would suggest either of those if you have self respect for yourself as Minority customer here.
