After several months of wrangling with the Midway Car Rental claims department, today I was contacted by Sandra Perrichon, Director of VIP Sales. Sandra is amazing and restored my faith in customer service and in Midway Car Rental. She had great empathy for the situation described in my review, listened intently and was very kind. We came to a mutual understanding of the incident in question, and I suggested that while their rental process and approach to the car damage was not the best, I also suggested that because of some of the ambiguities surrounding the situation that I would gladly place a claim through my insurance. Sandra insisted that they would take care of any damages, and I wouldn't pay anything. Thank you, Sandra! So, while I was originally fighting the damage claim on principle, I may now fight Midway (very nicely) to actually pay for the damage. I don't know where or when the damage occurred, or if it was even during my rental (because none of it can be proven), but the professionalism and understanding given to me by Sandra Perrichon made all the difference. Because of Sandra I will definitely move Midway Car Rental to the top of my Preferred Car Rental Company list and give them another try. read more

I can't remember the last time I've had such a bad experience at a car rental agency. We usually love Midway as we use the Beverly Hills location every time we travel to LA. However this time we decided to try Burbank and it was a huge mistake. We made a reservation last night, and the reservation went through online and we received an email confirmation that everything was good to go. When we arrived, the manager, Sally informed us they didn't have a car for us due to the fact we made the reservation online after hours and that she transferred us to another location, without asking us first. We were shocked that she felt she could transfer us without even asking if that worked for us beforehand, or bother to call and inform us. We asked why they didn't bother to call us as soon as they opened this morning and she said "it's not my problem." I couldn't believe it. I have never in my life witnessed someone so unwilling to help a customer. She refused to even call another location for us to check their inventory. If a location is unable to accept reservations past a certain time, it shouldn't allow the reservation to even go through. When we asked her name so we could make a complaint, she refused to tell us but luckily there was a business card. The Beverly Hills location is great, but if you need any sort of customer service or help, avoid this location at all cost. read more

To be transparent, we searched them only after all the main ones in the terminal was sold out! ANNNNNND I am glad we found them. First off the pricing is way better and there is no airport tax added to the rental. I believe the walk is even closer than the garage where all the rental cars are (even though it's off property - it is literally across the street from the airport) all the rental cars are. I would HIGHLY recommend using them and I myself plan to return to them bc their customer service was just great. Offered us water and candy. Kept checking in with us and letting us know they will be with us shortly. The team there was super warm and welcoming. I am a fan and will be back. Team Midway all the way! read more

We needed a rental ASAP to get to Palm Springs, called around and found Midway. Location was super convenient, right across the street from Burbank airport. Prices were reasonable and customer service was great. Sally helped us and she was super sweet, put us in a car pretty quickly and we were on our way. She mentioned that the car had a smell and would knock off an extra 5%. Now, saying the car had a smell was an understatement, we thought maybe a minor smell. At first there was a subtle fishy type odor and then it progressed to a fishy, dead body, feet and bum hole smell. We had the car for 3 days. Literally couldn't drive it around without gagging, we would have to leave the windows down in 118 degree weather, heads out all 4 windows. We were in town for a bachelorette mind you... I also never received a copy of the rental agreement, that was pretty odd. Hoping that drop off will go well and we don't have any further issues.. Overall, I would say rent at your own risk and definitely say no to the dark gray 2020 Camry. If there wasn't an odor issue, I would have given a higher review. read more

Just walked in to pick up a car that I made a RESERVATION for and the lady at the front desk said "ohhhhh..... let me see" and proceeds to come back and say that they just gave away their last compact size car and only have an SUV available and that it would be $30 extra a day for the rental?!? He picked me up from my home and drove me over to Midway. We had a great conversation and he was such a cool guy. I rented a vehicle from Midway's Burbank airport location in late May. I parked the vehicle in a parking garage and when I came back to the vehicle I discovered that the windshield was cracked! I have no idea how it happened but I was devastated as this has never happened to me before and I did not purchase the insurance they offered. When I returned the vehicle at the end of the week I pointed out the damage and filed a claim report. The gentlemen who received the vehicle told me someone from their claims department would be in touch with me. About a week later I got an email from Yuri Martinez. I explained to Yuri that I have car insurance that extends to rental vehicles as well as a credit card that picks up anything the insurance company doesn't. Without getting into unnecessary detail I can't begin to explain how helpful Yuri was. All I had to do was initiate the claim and Yuri did all of the follow up and communication with the credit card and car insurance companies. I would regularly check in with Yuri for updates and he would always respond in a prompt and professional manner. What could have been such an aggravating, time consuming process was really as pleasant as a situation like this could possibly be thanks to Yuri being so diligent in getting this resolved. Yuri's professionalism speaks volumes of this company. I hope Midway recognizes his hard work and dedication to the company. read more
