A beautiful piece of furniture in my house was torn up by my adorable young kitten (she apparently…read morethought it was a scratch pad) so I did my research as always and I was so happy to find Ignacio at I & A Quality Upholstery. I ordered the new "scratch resistant" fabric that was needed to cover both arms on my piece of furniture. Ignacio was very nice and highly professional. He came out to my home and carefully placed my furniture piece in his van. Ignacio asked me what fabric color I would like to use for the trim which was very thoughtful of him. He did an amazing job of removing the damaged fabric and replacing it with my new fabric. He brought my re-upholstered furniture back to my home about 2 weeks later. Now my cat can enjoy her "furniture scratch pad routine" without doing any visible damage to it! Ignacio's professional fees to perform these specialized services were very reasonable. Less than two weeks later, and for less than $300 (cash, no CC's accepted), we had a brand-new looking chair. The quality was good and I could tell that a lot of thought had been put into how to align the pattern on some of the smaller sections and edges of the chair. I thought the placemats would be perfect throw pillows and took 2 to Living World with pillow forms and backing fabric. They turned out so perfect and so very cute! Her work is "clean" and exceeded my expectations. She made the placemats a little bit wider to fit the pillow forms, and even added zippers! Next up: I'm going to have them make me new window dressings. I like a more simple design which I know they can do b/c their entire store is a window-dressing extravaganza. I saw a teddy-bear valance (HUGE ONE!) and a bunch of other tassels and opulent fabrics. I know this must be huge in Texas. Prices are very reasonable... especially given how much it hurts when someone messes up an alteration. So if you have a simple or complicated alteration, give them a try.
