Everyone was pleasant and friendly and I left this place with business cards because I was so pleased with the service. However, this has been the worst buying experience ever. We went into this purchase knowing there was an exhaust leak. Not because they told us, but because we drove it. They seemed unaware of the issue, however this was not a big deal as this is something we can easily fix ourselves. There was no spare tire or carpet in the trunk, we were told this was left at the detail shop in another town but could be retrieved if we purchased the car. The emblem was missing from the back of the car and we were told they would purchase this and ship it to us as well as a spare key. We continued with the purchase. A spare tire and carpet were placed in the trunk and we were on our way. The car was purchased nearly a month ago and I've drove it twice. Due to all the new sounds that have developed I do not feel safe and I refuse to drive it. It's currently on jack stands awaiting shocks, struts, and brakes though we were told suspension work had been done. It's unfortunate the small details we don't pay attention to when we are excited about having something new. I've since discovered every wheel is missing a lug nut, I found 3 in a bag in the trunk. The carpet that was placed in the trunk doesn't come close to fitting and I have no idea if the spare tire actually fits on the car. The headlight housings and the grill are not even attached along the top as all the tabs are broken. Granted it seemed to be a very busy day in the shop, so much so that they failed to even ask for the cashiers check for the down payment. We discovered we still had it upon our arrival home, it was put in the mail the next day. Whether this dealer is honest, dishonest or simply has no clue about cars I have no idea. I have yet to hear anything from them as far as the spare key and rear emblem. We live much to far away to bother contacting them about these issues, so I suppose that has worked to their advantage. Look folks, it's a used car dealership.....use your head. I researched the car I wanted and in the end this place had exactly what I wanted. Did I have to haggle a little....yeeeess. Did I completely trust the salesmen to the point where I threw all caution and reason out the window and began signing things blindfolded with my pants around my ankles....nooooo! There's no red cross on the building, they're here for a profit. I'm here for a car at a good deal ( To Me ). I think I got a fair deal, I bought an extended warranty in case anything went wrong. Those people are liar and stoler. I bought online a hummer H2 and when I receive it,it was totally different that what I order. I pay $22000 for a car totally undrivable and dangerous. If I want to fix all of the problems I have to pay $15000. And the Cherrie on the cake,when I call the owner,"Mo" he told me that I already have a H2,I can do one with the2. Is that professional???? I totally recommend to somebody that looking for a car to don't go over there and I make a call to everybody got a problem with this companie to do a claim or make a claim together that can help. read more

The experience was a nightmare, worst possible experience, and los.t over $7,000 in repair expenses within 1 week of purchasing the vehicle. They will not help in any way, and will try to sell you extended warranties that don't cover anything that is wrong with the car. I really am not a fan of giving bad reviews, I really rather share personally with that person or business directly what I was not satisfied with, but in this case I would hate for anyone to go through what I'm going through! I was referred to this dealership by way of a friend because I was looking for a particular make & model which they had in stock. Upon arriving to the dealership I was greeted pleasantly, offered water and snacks, the vehicle I came to see was pulled out all ready for me to test drive. This wa s all very nice! During the test drive I notice a few things that I wanted to have addressed before I was comfortable with buying this vehicle. One, the AC wasn't cold, two the key had tape wrapped around it and three, there was a small crack in the leather on the dashboard. I was told all these were easy fixes. I left the dealership leaving a deposit and an agreement that these issues would be taken care of. I received a call a few days later explaining that the key had been replaced, the AC had been recharged, but the crack could not be repaired. I decided to move forward with the purchase with this information. Worst mistake EVER!!! On 9/23/17, I went to the dealership to make my purchase and give the remainder of my deposit (I actually didn't give the check to the dealership until the following week because they forgot to ask for my check)! Drove away with this vehicle and headed home. Feeling relieved because I had a vehicle after a month of being without one. The next day before heading out I went to start it up and the Engine, VSC off, VSC Track and Track light came on. I took a picture and sent it to the person at the dealership I had been in communication with the entire time and was told to bring it in. I did so on that Monday, 9/25/17. The next day the dealership contacted me and stated that it was a sensor issue due to the new key needing to be properly programmed and they would keep it for an extra day to make sure the lights did not come back on. I picked this vehicle back up on Thursday night 9/28/17 went home, drove the truck to work the next day and when I started the truck up once I left Work, all the lights were back on!!!!! I took it back the next morning 9/30/17 and was promised that it was going to Lexus for a diagnostic test. That was the last time I saw or drove that vehicle!!!! I reached out to my finance company to inform them of the issues and shared with them that I was considering walking way from deal because of the issues and how long it was taking to resolve them. I also told them that the dealership told me that based on what the problem was, that they would fix it, or give me my money back! The loan company reached out to MAE and was told the same thing by MAE. I was in a loaner of theirs which was nice, but this wasn't the vehicle I wanted nor agreed to purchase. On 10/25/17 the sales guy from MAE called me and asked me to come into the dealership, I once again clearly communicated that I was bringing the loaner and coming to collect my refund. Once I arrived to the dealership, none of this was honored! To this very day, this dealership has my money and the vehicle I purchased in there possession and refusing to give me my money back like he said he would. I went to the dealership on 10/28/17 to take them their loaner and get my refund which turned into the most unprofessional, disrespectful scene...this man literally would not have conversation with me without cutting off, talking smart and disrespectful to me in front my two kids, I called the police for assistance. When they came he further lied because he told me that he didn't want to give me my money because he'd put money into the truck by repairing which isn't true because I check with Lexus and have the invoices to prove he declined the repairs,but told the police he was having the truck repaired at Route 66. I have not heard from the dealership to this day (11/10/17), the police recommend that I contact the states attorney and attorney general because this is more of a civil issue, but they recommend even more that I never deal with this dealership again because this was not their first time being there for this type of issue. I would NOT recommend this dealership to my worst enemy! read more

I'm so appalled because prior to purchase, the service was in good standing with this dealership. However, this same service ended up being deceiving and very unprofessional after the sale. The rep was very pleasant, very knowledgeable and friendly in the beginning for my friend at that time. Needless to say, there ended up being several things that were promised to be handled that weren't handled, yet easy fixes per Midwest and their sale reps. The sales rep & dealership in a whole has not been returning any effective communication to resolve the matters that need resolution behind their bad deal and poor quality of business. Midwest Auto Exchange has not been trustworthy or honest, if the reliable quality in a dealership is what you're looking for, I wouldn't suggest you look here for you wouldn't find any. Overall the disappointment is high and I wouldn't want to see anyone else endure such a horrific experience as my friend has. read more

Went to look at a Cadillac CTS-V that these guys had a little over a month ago, terrible experience, drove from Cincinnati all the way to Chicago to look at it, it was a complete waste of time and money. Firstly, I contacted the salesman 3 weeks before I made the trip, I was told there were only a few issues with the car that would be repaired before I drove up, the issues were not repaired (one of the issues being the driver seatbelt was inoperative), and on top of that, the car had 10 times the issues advertised (water damaged carpet and headliner, cracked dash, inoperative exterior lights, warning lights for just about every major system [check engine, ABS, etc.] which WAS NOT advertised, I could literally go on and on). This car had just been flat out abused, and what gets me, is that the GENERAL MANAGER literally abused it in front of us (revving the piss out of it at a cold start, the parking brake release didn't work so he would gas it and dump the clutch to break it free, it was painful to watch). Now we were ready for the test drive, they had me drive it to a car wash because it was filthy, that's another example of how ill prepared they were, car should've been washed before I showed up(not to mention it also should've have had its repairs done). So we get to this car wash, and one of the car wash employees pulls it up, hits the parking brake right in front of the entrance, and holds up business for like 30 minutes or so. So the car wash people are pissed, and the GM has to come to the car wash to get the car moved, how did he do it? You guessed it, revved the piss out of and dumped the clutch, it's almost like they didn't want to sell the car. So we finally get back to the dealership, and my buddy and I just nitpicked the car apart, we just kept finding more and more problems, although my favorite part was when we opened the hood and the first thing I saw was the hack job of installing an aftermarket cone air filter, the factory intake tube was cut in half, the air filter was ELECTRICAL TAPED to the intake tube, it was poorly secured with zipties (and by poorly secured, I mean not secured at all), and as a result, the tube and filter was literally riding the power steering pump pulley, thus ruining the belt and burning through the MAF sensor/connector/wiring. I will say that the salesman was very pleasant to work with, but when it comes down to it, he or any other staff had little knowledge of how bad of condition this car was really in. They wanted somewhere between 12k and 13k, it was so bad, that I offered 7 and walked when they declined. read more

I will start by saying I have never had a need or desire to leave a negative review of a company but my experience with Midwest Auto Exchange has been a complete nightmare. I have been patient enough since purchasing my 2010 BMW X5 i48 in August of 2018 but as of today there has been no resolution so here I am wasting even more time on this issue. For starters, the vehicle I was interested in initially was a Range Rover which turned out to be not a good fit for me. I worked with Nedal, salesman, during this time who was a great help so I did want to highlight his professionalism. However, as I declined to move forward with the vehicle I received a call from Al, General Manager, stating that he had a BMW X5 that he thought would be a great fit for me and was adamant that I come see it. I was initially hesitant because I was sold on a Range Rover but I did come out to check out the vehicle. I test drove the vehicle at the time and took a liking to it and agreed to move forward with purchasing. From my initial inspection there were a few nicks on the interior of the vehicle which were expected for a used vehicle so I was satisfied regarding the looks. I took the vehicle for a short test drive, inspected it to the best of my ability, and did not notice anything wrong with the vehicle so I moved ahead and purchased. After having the vehicle for a week the first day I drove it I found out how to check the vehicle service warning messages which indicated that the vehicle was in need of an oil change and brake fluid. Additionally, there was a heavy white smoke coming from the exhaust. The very same week my car would not start so I had to jump it with my other vehicle. I called MAE and got a hold of Nedal to tell him about the issues so he asked me to bring the vehicle in to have them look at it. I attempted to start my car again that week and this time it would not start at all and I was not around my home to jump it so I had to call AAA and have it towed. Turns out it was a battery issue which cost me almost $600 to repair. I brought the car in that weekend and at that time MAE was unable to tell me what was repaired or what issues were discovered so I had to find out where they took the vehicle and was told by the repair shop that they were told to only do the oil change and to clear out any other warning messages. I called MAE to call them out on this and they were acting as if they were clueless that they instructed them in this matter, yet alone that my vehicle was even having issues. I did purchase the suggested 3 year extended warranty by MAE with my vehicle so after countless attempts to get MAE to rectify the issues I took it in my own hands and took the vehicle first to a BMW dealership to see what the issues were. Turns out that the vehicle had oil leaks in numerous places so we attempted to have this repaired through warranty company and they informed us that this expense was not covered and that they did not see that I had an active warranty in the system. BMW wanted 6K for the repair work so I had to decline the service. At the suggestion of BMW and after numerous attempts to explain the issues to MAE I took time out of my life driving from Chicago to Burr Ridge to see what was going on. I met with Leo, financier, who helped me during the vehicle and warranty purchase and he assured me that both the issue with my warranty and vehicle would be resolved. What is funny is that there was an issue with the warranty company was saying that my warranty did not exist which makes me believe that it was never submitted in the first place after I purchased. I had to raise the issue with MAE to resolve with the warranty company so I'm inclined to believe that if I did not have a need to use the warranty someone would be pocketing what I paid for the warranty. After resolving the warranty status issue, neither of these shops could get my warranty to cover the repairs and all said that because I had just purchased the vehicle that I should take the issues up directly with MAE which I have been trying to do unsuccessfully for the past 5 months. It's nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone these days but there was never a problem getting them on the phone when I was shopping. Countless stories of how Al has emergencies and he isn't in the office but will get back to me. On my most recent visit to MAE I finally had a chance to speak to the owner, Ed, and he was acting as if that was the first time he heard of my issues. He basically used the same tired excuse as I've seen him used on many other post were customers had similar issues that they sold the vehicle in "good faith" and there was nothing he could do for me so I'd have to work with Al directly. I've communicated to them in person, by email, by text and still no resolution! I am making payments on vehicle that I cannot enjoy and they have shown no interest in helping me. Sorry for the book but I would hate it if someone else had a similar experience. read more

Issac sells person , moe manager are the worst. Once they got my deposit money they were to busy to speak to me. Cwr was delivered with some cheap warranty from Penn Warranty that covers nothing . I am looking to purchase a vehicle for my son. Because word of mouth is the greatest referral, I asked friends for salesmen/dealerships that they had used. My sister recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership and it has been a disastrous situation . What started as an answer to a prayer has become a complete nightmare. To summarize this horrific ordeal, she purchased a car in September 2017. Within a day of taking ownership a few supposedly minor issues came to light. She returned the vehicle to the dealership under the surmise that they would be resolved. Here we are in mid-November and she has not received the car NOR a refund. We're talking thousands of her hard earned dollars. Buyer Beware. She has been told multiple verified lies and has continuously been disrespected, in person and via telephone. Now they have ceased all communication with her. Keep in mind, they have the car AND her money. Needless to say, I'll be taking my money elsewhere and so should you. read more

I also had a friend with the exact same issues as the previous posts. She purchased a car from them that had problems approximately 1day after she drove off the lot. She returned it to get fixed and they called her when they "fixed it" and she returned to retrieve the car and drove the car two days and all the lights on the dash came back on. The dealership promised to get it fixed at a Lexus dealer but lied and just had them order the parts and wanted her to pay to get it fixed. A whopping 2,300 to get the dash lights fixed on a car she purchased a week before. She then just said no thank you to buying the car and the dealership refused to give her the money back and she did not know where the vehicle was because the dealership refused to take her calls or speak to anyone who called on her behalf. She is without her money and has no vehicle. I would say this is the worst dealership myself or anyone of my friends have encountered. I would not purchase a single thing from them.
