I was correct that it was a loss of spark. Oddly the receipt says no warranty at all, unless it's by the part maker. My car was disabled at the light on Route 83 South and 63rd. This is a horrible spot to be disabled. I called in requesting a push over to the shoulder, or at least the left turn lane next to me (getting out of the way of highway speed traffic). Either I could take a look or call roadside service. The cop refused and alleged it was unsafe to push me through the intersection. Having cars slam on their brakes behind you doing 60mph+ is unsafe. Didn't mind having the flatbed go into the intersection to load me onto the truck. I asked again and got the same replay after waiting 20 mins getting uneasy over the cars possibly crashing into us. He parked behind me and had his emergency lights off! Overrode me and ordered their own tow and wouldn't let me use my roadside assistance. Before this, I saw his truck (with push bars) casually coast through the grocery store parking lot. No sense of safety nor urgency. I literally should have put it into neutral and pushed it myself if I knew he would do this. Protect and serve, not me. Literally cost me $350 over what I could have fixed it myself for. Our insurance agency contacted the emergency road side assistance, who then contacted the closest available towing company. That towing company was Tom and Jerry's Shell. The driver, Joel, broke our transmission line when he hooked up the car. Upon arrival at the shop, our car was leaking transmission fluid everywhere. That was the first problem. The second problem came from the manager, Mark, at Tom and Jerry's Shell being completely unwilling to help us as we requested. Since the tire and lube shop did not offer transmission services, we wished to have the car towed to a shop that did. Mark only offered to bring the car to Tom and Jerry's and repair it there. We were not comfortable with that, since their tow driver obviously did not even know how to properly attach a tow line. We wanted a more reputable business to fix our car, and have Tom and Jerry's pay for the repairs and any other costs related to the breakage of the transmission line. My husband expressed this to Mark, but Mark's response was both defensive and personally insulting to my husband. This company is disrespectful, unprofessional, and not worth your time and money. Stay as far away from them as possible!
