I purchased a vehicle from Ultimo Motors East, and my experience has been extremely concerning. The dealership sold me a car that was unsafe, illegally modified, previously damaged, and misrepresented at the time of sale. At the time of sale, they assured me no modifications were done to this car. I am a nurse, and I worked tirelessly for over two and a half years to be able to afford this car. It was meant to be a reward for my dedication and hard work -- instead, it has become a stressful and costly ordeal caused entirely by this dealership's negligence and dishonesty. The vehicle was fully covered under factory warranty when I purchased it. However, after taking it to the manufacturer, I was informed that the exhaust system had been illegally modified prior to sale -- it had been cut and reassembled in multiple sections, was missing the factory resonators, and lacked the proper mounting clips and supports. Because of these unauthorized modifications, the manufacturer voided my factory warranty coverage on affected components. Selling or offering for sale a vehicle with an altered exhaust system that increases noise or fails to meet factory safety and emissions standards is illegal under Illinois Vehicle Code 625 ILCS 5/12-602. This law prohibits the sale or operation of any vehicle equipped with a modified or defective exhaust system that amplifies noise or allows exhaust leaks. I later discovered the car had also been in a previous accident that was never disclosed and did not appear on the Carfax report. Dealers are required under Illinois Vehicle Code 625 ILCS 5/5-401.2 and the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act (815 ILCS 505/2) to disclose known accident or damage history. Failing to do so constitutes consumer fraud and a clear violation of state law. When I brought these issues to Ultimo Motors' attention, they refused accountability and falsely claimed the vehicle was "functioning as intended by the manufacturer." In reality, it was sold in unsafe and noncompliant condition, with illegal modifications and undisclosed damage that directly caused my factory warranty to be voided. This dealership's conduct is unethical, deceptive, and unlawful. I strongly caution anyone considering buying from Ultimo Motors East: do not rely on their statements or a Carfax report. I tried asking again about the history of the car and he shut me down and would not answer any questions. I then asked who was the owner of the business and he hung up on me. Enigmatic manager Tasho Tasho (is it a nickname?) was quick to deny any responsibility and even quicker to accuse me of trying to "money grab" (his words). Final review--- I recently purchased a car from this dealership and worked with Al Khaleel, and my experience was far from satisfactory. From the very beginning, I received unnecessary attitude when I asked why they needed my phone number for a test drive. Things only got worse when I decided to pay cash. They attempted to change the numbers and raise the price of the car, which felt dishonest and manipulative. Tasho stepped in, the next day, and offered free shipping to my state, which convinced me to proceed with the deal. However, the one request I made throughout the entire process was to have a bow on the car when it arrived. I even went out of my way to purchase the bow myself. Al assured me he would handle it and put the bow on the car before delivery. The bow I ordered is actually still at the hotel Stayed But This is why I insisted doing myself. Yet when the car arrived, there was no bow - a small detail, but one that speaks volumes about their lack of professionalism and care for customers. There is no excuse to the bow did not arrive yet the car literally stayed at the dealership for 3 days until pick up Amazon delivers about in less than 24 hours. This is also the very least you could do on a six-figure car sale, this is definitely a story I'll be talking about on my podcast...shout out to Ultimate Motors. To make matters worse, the car was delivered with an empty gas tank. I was literally praying that I make it to the nearest gas station as I do live far out from the city. This aligns with other reviews I've seen where they don't bother checking or topping off fluids before delivery. Even the auto delivery driver noted how unprofessional and unorganized the dealership staff was. I will be having the car inspected tomorrow to ensure there are no hidden issues, but overall, this experience has been beyond disappointing. From the lying to the lack of attention to basic customer service, it's clear this dealership doesn't care about its customers. My advice? Stay far, far away from this place. You know I had a pretty darn good experience. It seems they sold me a good car. I'm happy. They didn't budge much on the price but that's not uncommon. The salesman was great until he realized the ad overstated a feature that the vehicle didn't have. Instead of acknowledging fault, he immediately took down the ad for the vehicle, removing all information(and evidence). Come on! It seemed sophomoric considering I had a good experience otherwise. The manager, financial guy was funny and direct. Integrity is a tricky thing. Choosing to shut down our conversation by suddenly pulling the ad, the salesperson was being 'shady'. 2 1/2 stars and I'll tell you why, from the sales perspective and financing department all was great and amazing. But from a point of view of the vehicle I purchased it seemed to have a lot of things that went unsaid. Squeaky breaks, needs an oil change, needs a lot of maintenance which is expected on a vehicle, but I expect to buy a used vehicle that's been fully serviced and maintained before being sold, along with the fact on my drive home I got a check engine light on the vehicle for a faulty ignition coil. This place has great potential, but needs to properly inspect and maintain vehicles before being sold Update: 2 Weeks In, lifted my car up on the hydraulic, and checked my transmission which was overheating, and saw the rusty transmission intercoolers which were corroded and the complete cause of a $2,700 repair on a new car. I purchased two cars from ultimo motors in eight months, Here are my problems #1 the first car I bought I was promise the second key, never received it, also the Bank they used to finance my first car told me that ultimo motors bought extra points on the back end which inflated the interest rate and the car note. Miraculously they had the exact same car that I was looking for so I went back to try and do business with them again, SMH negotiated a price and told them that in order for me to purchase this car they would have to give me the key for my 1st car, how about they tried to tell me NO until I would not take no for an answer, they finally agreed, we put the key and a wax job on the IOU, A month of purchasing my second car and several reminders they finally got the key, the wax job was horrible, then the following week on a $73,000 car the front brakes went out, I asked them to at least cover the labor and I would purchase the brakes they said no. Also both of the rear seatbelts were broke and I did not know The extended warranty they saw me also will not cover this, The rear seatbelts are $2300 each! One got replace by Mercedes under the final warranty now I have to cover the other one, my sales rep Sam at ultimo motors was awesome and did the best he could, he was very apologetic and I was impressed by his humility, even though I knew upper management was giving him a hard time as well without him saying, but the tower/management is a bunch of young unexperienced unprofessional cocky Bratz, also this is what happens when you don't get your car inspected from a used dealership such as Ultimo motors in Westmont before purchasing, Two cars $110,000 in eight months you would think they would be a little more hospitable. I was in town to purchase a Maserati Granturismo spoke with Oliver Kapelski. He had no idea what he was talking about and try to justify that the check engine light would go off if I drove it off the lot. He kept trying to feed me lies like I can return the car if it doesnt and that the warranty they have will cover it. Also when I saw several people laughing in the back when he was feeding me lines like Im some cheap date. Oliver needs to find a new career because he has no knowledge of cars at all and dont know a difference between an engine and exhaust. I do not recommend buying from this place. My husband found a 2013 BMW X6 xDrive50i online on Tuesday, June 23rd, it had good miles about 60,000 and was a good price. When my husband called to inquire about the car, he spoke with a salesman, Oliver Kapelski. My husband told him we have financing and wanted the car, but that we couldn't get there until Monday, June 29th his next off day. Our credit union even called Oliver and spoke with the manager too and told him we were approved and that she could send the copy of the check to hold the car, my husband also offered $1000 to hold it as well. Oliver agreed and double checked with his manager that they would put the car in the back for him until Monday. My husband sent a picture of his id and his email address so that he could send the bill of sale...well we never got it because they sold the car! Not only did they sell the car, Oliver never even contacted my husband to tell him, my husband just ended up calling to say that he hadn't received the email and that's when Oliver told him. If they had another potential buyer they should have contacted us to say hey someone else is interested, can you get here sooner or something. My husband asked for the manager who called back and was rude and not apologetic at all, said its "business", how rude! I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone they don't have good business practices, good customer service and follow up/through. read more

Was looking around the country for a specific color Porsche 911. At the time, I was searching the entire country for the perfect 911, so I had contacted a few other places including several Porsche dealers. My initial plan was to purchase the car only from an actual Porsche dealer, but I found a low mileage car which was the combination I was looking for at Ultimo Motors East in Chicago. I contacted them and heard back from Louis. The car at Ultimo was only a year old and based on what I could tell was in better condition than a lot of the certified pre-owned cars at some dealerships. Of all the salespeople I interacted with on the phone from around the country, Louis was the best one. We communicated mostly by text. He was responsive when I had a question but did not nag me or harass me. When I finally decided I wanted to pull the trigger, Louis was helpful in arranging a Porsche pre-purchase inspection at the shop of my choosing - Midwest Performance Cars. Even though this shop was somewhat far from Ultimo East, they took the car there without any issues and I received the detailed inspection report. The car checked out and was as advertised - in near mint condition. I feel that the price I was able to negotiate was reasonable and fair. My interaction with their manager Allan was also very good. He was upfront with me that obviously they are in business to make money, but he wanted to finish the deal with me. I did not get the sense that they were in any way trying to rip me off or conceal anything. I flew out to Chicago, checked out the car, met everyone and then finalized the purchase. I was obviously wary of buying such an expensive car sight unseen (especially from a non factory authorized dealer). I did feel better that the car still had a large portion of the factory warranty remaining. Everything turned out really well. The car is awesome. The guys at Ultimo made the experience pleasant. I got the title by UPS delivery from Ultimo 2 weeks after I took delivery of the car. In the meantime, they gave me a temporary Illinois dealer registration which was good for 30 days. I have had the car now for some time. I got it serviced at the Porsche dealer in SoCal and they agreed that the car was in near mint condition. They pulled the Porsche warranty records and the car did not have any warranty issues with its initial owner. It feels like it is brand new. Overall great inventory and good people at Ultimo. I would recommend this dealer highly based on my experience. read more

They have a great website and fancy store but when it comes down to it, they are about as opportunistic and lacking in customer service as any scummy used car dealer you could find. I actually bought Panamera 4S from them two years ago and the transaction was OK. A year or so later, I called them to see if they were interested in buying another car of mine- they didn't even bother to call me or email me back. Just recently, I called and "Andrew" answered. I inquired about a BMW and a trade in. He asked for a bunch of information. I sent everything to him and waited and waited. Two calls, an email and a text message later, I realized he was never going to get back to me. I'm guessing they sold the car and didn't even want to take the five seconds to answer my text. I then called the GM, John Grubbs and left him a message. He never called me back! This is how they treat a customer that previously bought 90k car from them! read more

Dealer's rep Gary reached out a day after I contacted Ultimo. He was helpful at the beginning but as we started working on a deal, Gary had to rely on his very inflexible management to make things happen and the faceless "management" refused to provide any concessions to finalize our deal after I spent hours with due diligence. At the end, it ended up with Gary pushing me to finance the car via them to receive free open transport (I wanted enclosed and was willing to split the cost 50-50 and preferred not to finance the car - I even agreed to pay the full asking price which is not a normal thing to do when buying a used car but management would not concede to share the shipping cost, stupidly, for a $50K purchase). Overall, this was quite a negative experience and I would caution the folks, in those 12 countries (per Ultimo's website) supposedly buying cars from Ultimo, to be aware of the lack of flexibility and poor sportsmanship of this so called tier-1 collector car establishment. As an experience buyer and collector, Ultimo let me down in a big way. read more

I worked with Dennis once I found the 2013 Audi Q7 Prestige S Line that I wanted to purchase. He was very accommodating as I was wanting to make the purchase as quickly as possible. Living in Indianapolis, I wanted to take one trip up there and not get any surprises after making the trip that would have prevented me from going through with the purchase. I asked Dennis to be up front with me on whether there were any issues that weren't reflected in the listing description and he did tell me that the right headlight was not working, but that he looked it up and thought it would probably be an easy fix for me to look into myself. When I arrived I will say that there was definitely a lot more wear on the car than I expected as the pictures made the car look flawless, but in reality there was a good amount of scratches and a few nicks where the paint was removed. That is almost always the case with used auto dealerships though, in that they provide flawless looking photographs when there is more wear on the car than the photo reflects. Dennis and I did do a quick drive around and he was a really nice guy and clearly knew his vehicles. The part that rubbed me the wrong way the most though was when I was done working with Dennis and I had to go back into the office and complete the paperwork with some other guy that was trying to sell me on an extended warranty and would not give it up. He went into stories about how every used car that he purchases he always gets the extended warranty and he just did the same for the car that he purchased his son. It got to he point that I was just uncomfortable and wanted to sign the paperwork as soon as possible and get out of there because that guys only interest was selling that warranty. I felt that he was genuinely pissed off at me for not buying the warranty. I've had the car now for over 6 months and it drives well, but I finally took it into the dealer to get the headlight fixed and it's been there for 3 weeks and they've finally narrowed it down to water damage and they've got to replace the lighting module, headlight assembly and electronic control module....coming in at about $4,500....for a freaking headlight. Dennis did disclose the headlight issue, but I was really disappointed how how he made it seem like it wasn't a big deal and probably would be a simple fix. This is somewhat of a "shame on me" moment for not knowing better and doing a little more research, but at the same time, I have a hard time believing that they didn't already try to get this fixed before selling it in the first place. My guess is they sent it over to the dealership and got an estimate and realized they wouldn't make any money on this vehicle if they spent the money to get it fixed, so they banked on the possibility that a dumb buyer like myself would be willing to purchase the vehicle without realizing how complicated and expensive those adaptive headlights can end up being to fix or replace. I wish that this headlight issue would've been left more as an unknown that I need to be willing to take a risk on rather than Dennis making it seem like it would be an easy fix. In the end, Dennis was a genuine guy that I think really wanted to to help me out as best he could. I just really wish he would've handled the headlight thing differently and said that there was some moderate wear on the vehicle before I got up there. As for the guy in the back office, I would never ever ever come back to this place again based on my experience with him and his forceful almost demeaning sales pitch. Really pissed off about how expensive this headlight is turning out to be and I'm selling the car as soon as I get it back from the shop. I would just say buyer beware and do your own research. Go in with a skeptical mindset, bc they are definitely out to take advantage of those that don't. read more

I had been looking for a very specific car in a very specific price range for a while and so I ended up at several dealerships, driving the cars, initial negotiations, etc. I landed on the guys at Ultimo at their Naperville location because of a car they had just taken in. Now I have purchased over a dozen cars in my life and always found the process to be more difficult and time consuming that it should be. Not with these guys! They had the car I wanted at the price I was willing to pay and with all of my upfront research and shopping, it was a fair price. I had financing already worked out thru my bank at an excellent rate. Let me tell you how this went down because this is how car buying should be. I found the car online, called to make sure it was still available that day to test drive, went out there that afternoon and took a 20 minute drive with a great guy, "Frank". Frank is a friendly, not pushy, salesman with Ultimo. I told Frank and the Sales manager, Jack, that I didn't want to start the negotiations yet but that I would get back to them tomorrow after a discussion with my wife. It's usually at this point you get locked into a room and they try and close the deal but not these guys. They knew I was sincere and as advertised, I emailed them back the next day to let them know that I was going to come back out and see if we could work out a deal. I also confirmed a few details/final price and questions I had with Jack who was very responsive and helpful. Me and my wife drove out to the dealership, took the car for one more drive and then said, "let's do it. If you can match my banks interest rate and terms, we'll do everything thru you." In less than 20 minutes, we were done. Wow, so god dang easy! It gets better, on the 2nd test drive, the "tire sensor" light was on. This car is out of warranty and as a final handshake promise, Jack said he take care of it if the sensor kept acting up. It did, and as advertised, I emailed Jack and not only did he take care of it, he had an associate pick my car up in the morning and return it that night for no charge. I also asked them to change the oil and charge me but they went above and beyond and comped the oil change. That is great service! If these guys have a car your interested in, you have to give them a shot! read more

We took them back to Ultimo they had our vehicles for 2 days and they were not repaired and we have to go back when the parts come in. I can't believe they didn't offer any type of compensation considering the fact they sold us faulty vehicles and we had to UBer back to Indiana on the count of them saying the Maserati would be 1 hour to repair and the Mercedes would be 3. Worse experienced ever!! Called about 3 weeks ago regarding a Porsche Panamera for sale online, Jay answered the phone and right away took an application but his finance company couldn't approved my wife.. I was very interested and within 5min got an approval with our credit union, Jay asked for a deposit of $1,000.00 to get the vehicle offline, that way he could tell other prospective buyers that the call was sold. First lie! Car never went off the web! By Saturday of next day I had the check overnighted to them from California. They got the funds on Tuesday 3 days later and after that everything has gone to hell.. two days went by and no one called me or text me with an update !! Jay insisted to use their transport company who was charging us $200 over other quotes I received, fine I went with it!! Car was supposed to get picked up Friday and ended up leaving the dealership by Saturday night!! Car got dropped off 9 days later when it should off only taken them 3days(don't let them decide who to use). After the car was picked up, I called the general manager "AL" to get an update on my $1000 refund.. he said that that was refunded over the weekend and that it should take a couple of days to post into my account. Second lie!!.. three days went by and no car, no refund of my deposit, and no one calling me to get an update. At this point am I thinking I have been scammed, I sent a text to Jay letting him know that I was going to contact my credit union an legal authorities to report them. He then called me all upset telling me that he was going to see that my deposit gets return, he sent me a receipt dated that morning showing my refund of $1000 with an offline batch report!! I am getting more because of all the lies. ANYWAY TO MAKE THE STORY SHORT! Cars navigation system or PCM is not working and I am having the car check because it's making weird noises. As of today we are still dealing with them to send the paperwork to the credit union for us to get it register with the DMV!! Another lie!! Unreliable sales tactics and some really bad customer service!!!! Please stay away from this place, when buying a high-end car!!! I negotiated and ordered my Mercedes Benz with this company online and out of state, because it was a unique model-color combination. I understand that when buying a used car that it comes as-is, which of course includes normal wear and tear, small scratches, nicks, etc.. As the transaction was out of state and on-line, I asked specifically in what state the car was in and was informed that there was no major damage and that this car was really complete. Well, after it appeared on my doorstep, it had a big dent and a scratch, that was very poorly repaired and hidden in the shadows of the pictures that were shared with me during the sales process. In addition, the car was completely dirty when it arrived, only had one key fob, missing floor mats, missing cargo cover and although I was promised that all fees were included in the transaction, I ended up paying an additional thousand dollars. When I confronted both the salesman (Aleks) as well as the manager (Allen [be extra cautious, when he starts calling you friend]), they basically told me that I just had to accept everything as is. Not accepting the car was of course an option for me, but that would've costed me another thousand dollars, which they would've deducted from my down payment. Purchased a 2013 Hyundai Genesis. Vehicle looked good. A week after purchasing the vehicle the breaks began to squeal, the reverse camera malfunctioned, the usb link was not powered, and they did not include the wheel locks. I contacted our rep, Louis by email and heard nothing back. I called the dealership about the wheel locks and they were not helpful. This was after being told by Louis that he would not leave us hanging if something went wrong. Local repair shop told us the reverse camera's hardware was defective ($600) and that low quality breaks were installed ($1000). Please, steer clear of this dealership. read more

I have been shopping for a car for about a year and came across a few at Ultimo that I was interested in, they have a few cool selection of cars. The salesman showed me two BMW's, a silver one and a black one. He told me both were $11,800. I knew that that was a good price for that car. I saw online that they had the cars on their lot for a while so I figured they priced them to sell. I told him I'll take the silver one (I hate black cars). So we went inside and he typed up everything on his computer and said that I just have to wait for the finance guy to call me in and finish the paperwork. After a while the finance guy comes a we go to his office and the starts going through the numbers and they seemed high, I pointed that out and he said that the car is $14,500. I said now, I was told $11,800 which is why I took it. He looks at the paperwork and says that I'm right, but the salesman has the wrong car. He tells me that the salesman accidentally put the silver one, "don't worry I'll correct it so that it's the black one." I told him no, I'm buying the silver one. He informs me that he can't honor the price the salesman told me. He then stands up, walks to the door and tells me thanks anyway, have a nice day. I was stunned! They already ran my credit, and filled out all the paperwork. He didn't try to go talk to the salesman, he just stood up and walked to the door. I walked out to find my salesman and tell him that the finance guy won't honor the price, he just said sorry and walk away.... I would like to point out that I didn't negotiate the price, $11,800 is the price the salesman told me on his own, even mentioning that it's a really good price for these cars. I ended up buying elsewhere, I will never be back here! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Perhaps Ultimo is good at selling cars, but it certainly isn't good at following through when buying them. They agreed to buy my 2017 BMW M2. I agreed to a lower price than the payoff due to the current market, and their promise of a fast, easy transaction. A bill of sale was drawn up and signed, I paid them the loan balance difference, expecting a timely execution of loan pay off. Not so. Now having my money in hand, I curiously had great difficulty contacting their buying agent, or any managers when I needed assurances of payoff execution. It was always "it (the funds) will hit tomorrow". I felt they were both adversarial and were seemingly poor at record keeping as I had to explain myself each time. They even had the car transportation company contact me to schedule pickup even when they had not fulfilled their end of the bargain. I had to call both my credit card company and paypal to initiate a claim. I am just one customer, but my experience was horrid. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more
