I will not recommend MCC. We had my wife's car stereo installed there a while ago, and ever since installation, the volume on the stereo will regularly turn to zero, and/or the track/station will switch to the lowest track/station. My working theory is that it was the wiring from the stereo to the steering wheel controls. I scheduled a visit to have it fixed, and was told "we will take care of it" Today we received a call saying it was not the wiring, but rather the stereo, but that they would install a new stereo for $325. The stereo they had was "Sirius enabled" which requires an additional $100 dollar part. Fine, I say, just get it done. This evening we received a call saying they can't get the new stereo to connect to the steering wheel controls, which fits with my original diagnosis. This's turned a 1.5 hour job (quoted) to a two day job, making my wife miss two meetings tomorrow. Very disappointed. read more

Went here to get a lift installed that wasn't a rough country lift and they were not easy to work with about it. They kept trying to get me to buy their lift and they didn't want to install it but finally said okay and then they ran into "problems" and charged me 200 bucks and I still had no lift. They ended up damaging a part so now it no longer works. Probably won't be back to them again. I've had good luck with my other vehicles there and they do stellar tint work. read more

I would not recommend Midwest Custom Concepts. I went to the business to see what they offered regarding window tint for two front windows on an SUV. Although they did not have the specific % of tint I wanted, the person I spoke with (later found out to be the owner) was very outgoing, professional and had the window tint (film/install) reasonably priced. I was concerned due to the bad review I read on this site but decided to go ahead and move forward as it has been a while since the last review. I dropped off my vehicle and waited for it at the business for the vehicle to be tinted. After about four hours of waiting for just two front windows to get tinted... I was given my vehicle back. At that time, the vehicle looked great! I told myself, I found the place that I was looking for in Rochester, MN and began to look at different things that I wanted (custom rims and sound system). I was preparing to get back to the business to talk to them regarding what I wanted (about $4,000 worth of parts) when I noticed that my windows appeared to be bubbling (very small bubbles). I went to the store and told them about what I was seeing and asked them to look at it and tell me what they thought about. I never asked them to re do it or give me a refund. I simply wanted someone to look at it and tell me what they thought was going on just in case it was bubbles and were going to get worst. I met with the same guy who sold me the tint who then said he would have the tint tech go look it. The tint tech came out after a while and looked at my vehicle. The tint tech was extremely rude and told me that I had signed a waiver relieving them of all liability. I told the guy that I knew I signed a waiver but thought it was more for legal liability as it was darker than allowed by state law. I told the tint tech that I knew people were not perfect and that applying window tint is difficult which is why I left it to a professional (him) to do the job right. The tint tech told me that the waiver also covers imperfections due to application. The tint tech told me that because of the waiver I signed, regardless of how it turns out due to their application, I was responsible for it. The tint tech was rude and short with me. I even told the tint tech that I was not asking him to redo it and simply wanted to get his opinion on what to do to possibly make it better or stop it from getting bad. Although the tint tech was rude and short with me, he did decide that he would re do it if I wanted him to. I agreed and gave the company a second chance to prove to me that they are a legitimate business and do responsible work. I got an appointment scheduled by that tint tech who right before he left slid to pieces of paper across the counter and told me "that's the waiver" while walking away... I looked the other way and left the business extremely upset. I told myself, as long as they fix the issue maybe things can turn around. I cleared my calendar for the day of the re do tint job as I figured it would be a couple of hours. I showed up early and waited for my appointment window. I went into the business and was promptly met by the owner who instead of taking my vehicle and begin to work on it told me that he needed to look at it one more time. He looked it and said that there was no way he could do a better job than that and further told me that if he was to re do it could come out looking worst because they don't have a "vacuum sealed room." I told the owner that I wished he didn't waste my time by having come by that second time and that I wasn't happy. The owner told me that if I had any further issues to bring it back for them to look at it again. I spoke with a few friends in town who told me that they have heard bad things about that business and would not have recommended me to go there as it seems that they are constantly having unhappy customers. I will now be going to another business in town to not only remove the bad tint job but also get it installed properly as anyone would expect from a "professional" window tint job.
