I had one spring bad and they replaced both and took my good spring with them which makes me wonder if I didn't get someone's used spring. I knew it was a spring because we had them replaced before and you could see it but they wouldn't give you an estimate until they got there. I'm not a fan of being at someone's mercy.

Even though it was nice to see my different options (they have a "star tier" system where you get 4 or 5 quotes) I didn't really need most of them because I was looking for just a regular garage door and motor replacement. For what I needed, I think I was at 2 or 3 stars, it was around $8500. Switching to a nicer motor and an insulated door put it at over $10000 which is insane. Any other company I looked like, they could do it for between $3000 and $5000. Unless this garage door installs itself and is made of some fancy metal, the pricing were absolutely absurd. Charging an arm, a leg, and maybe an ear too!

As if that would persuade my husband to buy his services. He then sat in his truck on the phone for maybe 10 minutes, like he was trying to come up with something to sell us. My son then ran to Menards, found a replacement coil for $60, and fixed it for us. The door works great now... $60, not $1000! This company is a bunch of scammers looking to rip off people.
