I had an estimate with them for a roof. The guy who cam out to do it was kind however he instisted that I have an attic fan (I do not and never have). He left me with an estimate that was very high like 8k or more than anywhere else, later that day I was emailed an estimate that was higher than the one he had left with me. I got a follow up phone call requesting feedback. When I told them the issues and asked to be removed from their list the man said "you are removed" and hung up. I absolutely had the best experience one could have with home remodeling with Power home remodeling. We got new windows and doors throughout the entire home and from the sales team to the install I have had no issues! The sales team was so knowledgeable and kind that it made me want to work with this company even more. They checked on us while waiting for our windows to come in several times, but not in an annoying way which was nice. The installers were here right on time and ready to work. They were very efficient with every little thing they did and made sure everything fit nice and tight. They carefully installed all the weather stripping and a quality manager came out to inspect the team's work and make sure we felt comfortable about everything and didn't have any question. We had power cold call us by knocking on our door. After refusing to take no for an answer, they sent their sales rep out who took the entire day to explain their services to us. After finally scaring us into getting a new roof, we signed off on an expense that we felt pressured into; with the main selling point being that they would fix a sag in an add-on garage on our house that was there when we bought the place. We were led to believe that was a service they offered. The guys that came out were unprepared and didn't bring all the needed tools to complete the job, they kept asking to use the power inside our entryway to power their tools. Towards the end of the roofing project they had another person come out talk with us about how it was going. We were then convinced to get gutters installed as well. The rep accomplished this by scaring us with the idea that the roof would be less than useless without the gutters being installed and by offering us a lower rate than just the roof at a longer-term plan. Before any of this though he sat in our living room and waited and watched us fill out a review for Angie's List and Yelp. We didn't feel as though we were given a choice on what to say or when to post the reviews; and keep in mind that the roof project wasn't complete at this time, just nearing completion. After the crew completed their work and left we started noticing issues. We had talked with the initial rep about replacing some old boards with hardwood planks to extend their life since they were going to have the roof open anyway and it was factored into the price we paid. The first issue that we noticed was a patch that was placed with, not hardwood like we talked about, but one single piece of plywood. On top of that, the sag in the roof was still there! Once we noticed these issues, we obviously called power and explained our concerns. They sent another person out to talk with us and examine what we had issues with. Upon his arrival he said that fixing a sag in the roof was actually not a service that they offered in any way and that he would reach out to the rep and ask for more clarification on why he would say that. (He never followed up afterwards) When he looked at the plywood patch he agreed that it was shoddy work and he would call the crew out to come fix it. When they came, they still did not replace the plywood with hardwood like the initial rep said they would, instead they cut slats out of the plywood that they had put up initially, in addition to this, there was an area that was supposed to be patched, but was not, despite it being on our bill. Throughout this whole remediation process, we were continually pressured to sign the documents saying that the work was completed. I'm sure you can see why we did not want to sign them. Now onto the gutters. The initial install of the gutters went smoothly, the crew was nice and seemed competent at their jobs, they even scheduled areas around the house so as not to wake our infant child during her nap, also one of the guys spot fixed an issue that I noticed with a missing flashing on one of the sections of the gutters; meaning that he had to go get out his tools again to fix it. The gutters worked well for a little while until I noticed that they were starting to fill up with leaves and seeds from trees; that's fine, it's part of normal maintenance to clear them out every so often. I procrastinate a little on cleaning them out, until I notice a green shoot starting to spring up from one of the corners of the gutters. So I get on my ladder, go up, and see that the gutters are even and COVERED in liquid nails/caulking. So much so that they are basically designed to be leaf traps. After clearing out the entire house gutter system, I noticed this all over and was a major contributing factor to the leaves building up in there in the first place. Honestly, a truly horrible experience from start to finish; from being misled by the sales rep, pressured into signing things and filling out reviews before the project was done, and the shoddy work on each project I can't in good faith recommend this company to anyone who wants to get work done. My yard is a total mess, full of nails, screws, shreds of gutter pieces, etc that I've been collecting in a bucket so that my children dont step on anything. No tarps were layed during gutter installation and it shows. They also put the drain spouts wherever they felt like... which is going to be problematic come spring time. Purchased windows in 2015 and today I have 6 of the 9 windows with leaked seals, showing through them. No longer under warranty because old company went out of business and new company that provides the product that goes into the window does not honor the warranty, and Power Home remodeling wants us to pay $180 per window for replacement. read more

A solicitor from this company came to my house and was acting completely bizarre. Pounding on the door aggressively, yelling, he wouldn't stop! We looked out the window at him and he yelled the word utility to try to get us to open the door. Which was confusing considering his hat said power, but I'm sure that was the point. They "forgot" to do one window, I've called and called and called and usually get hung up on by customer service reps. They even sent a technician to measure for the missing window and then I never heard anything again.... On top of that the WINDOW QUALITY IS AWFUL. We are a previous Power customer with over $40,000 of work done to our home (siding, gutters, windows, and shutters). Since the install in 2024, we have had our siding pop-up and off our home a couple of times, and Power has come out to fix the issue within 1-4 days of our call. They came out no problems. In the past few months their customer service has declined tremendously, with our normal house calls to fix their errors with the install going from 1-4 days to 2 months. The soonest you have available is 2 months from now!?? We have people from your company down our street once a week doing canvassing, and you want to tell me you can't service the issue your installers created? We had to schedule a fake estimate just to get someone over the house to fix one piece of siding. Then, another piece, 1 week later pops off. I'm not having my house exposed to the elements, because the company can't get their act together. Yes, this has left a bad taste of Power in our mouths. If this is how you treat returning customers, then I wish I never entrusted them to install the majority of the outside of our home. Think real hard if you want them to do your work. read more

The young white man who came to the door soliciting was ringing the doorbell repeatedly. When I saw it was a solicitor, I was going to simply ignore him but he came back to bang on the door. My husband was working with a client online, so I couldn't let the noise continue. I asked through the door who is it, he answered as if he were a friend, I said I'm not interested, he kept giving his spiel to the closed door. I met with Max Thursday to confirm a window estimate for today at 10 AM. They called me the next day to confirm my appointment of which I said yes and that I do not need a returning call if I set up an appointment. Then I got a call this morning again asking to confirm I had indicated that I already received a confirmation call yesterday and I do not need these constant requests because it is very frustrating. If I am going to schedule an appointment then I will be there. I could understand if they're calling an hour before just to confirm that that's OK but this is very frustrating. I canceled the estimate because they are not organized or structured and if they cannot get a confirmation correct after the first call, that's troubling to me. read more

The crew members are hard working and competent. The miracles they have performed are impressive and my old house (pre WWII) is much better to live in. My window curtains do not move from drafts any more. The crew fixed or replaced windows and they are air tight. My roof is waterproof and with the new siding looks so much better than the old stuff. The old siding let moisture rot the wooden window frames . Now the rot is removed and new frames are properly installed so no more carpenter ants crawling on the kitchen counters. My experience was interesting to say the least. When Chris J. came to my door he was great. Very friendly and easy to talk with. Kept me interested and got me to schedule for a free quote. I would rate him 5/5 stars, definitely enjoyed and he should not be affected by people. On the other hand for the company itself, it was very hard to actually set up because they don't allow married individuals to schedule without the partner also being there which I found to be a problem and is why we needed up not getting quoted. But other than all that I am still a new homeowner so I don't know much about solicitors and dealing with these things but as long as the individual coming isn't rude or pushy, I see no reason not to hear them out. roof replacement sold as 50 year roof. Installation was fine, crew was competent. Supervisor put a bathroom exhaust vent on my range exhaust vent. Called and twice scheduled for the to come out and put a stove vent on. Both times weather or some other event caused the vent to not be replaced. Then it is dropped, no call back to reschedule, or any call back. Definitely got calls for more sales and refereed to their warranty number to begin again my request to install the proper exhaust vent for a range. not a bathroom vent. they also said they would color code everything... but i have shiny galvanized vent covers and flashing. So not worth the 37k for a roof that is supposed to last 50 years. So dont buy their 50 year roof... they cant stand behind it... in my opinion read more

Warranty window replacement has been dreadful to schedule. I started this process in Aug 2025 and had someone come out, and I took off work for them to just realize that they don't have all the stuff they need, so they re-schedule for 3months out, I take off work again and no one shows up. I call the company and they say that the needed parts didn't come back in yet, which is fine but why was I not notified?!? They said that they would send someone else out. Then a couple months later I see they came out but I was not called or notified so they left because I didn't know to take off work that day. So I had someone come yesterday and it was two trucks so it was promising that they would have the materials. They were one Sash short and seemingly the same sash the original guy had to order. The technicians showed up and asked me what windows needed replacing, not confirming, asking as if there are no notes on the system. When they completed the service they advised me that they would need to order the new sash and reach out to me to schedule. So there will now be another day to take a day off for the replacement. This will now be almost a year of trying to get this done. read more

The solicitor kept talking and would not leave after being told we weren't interested. The solicitor then called her office and the woman on the phone was even more forceful and prying, asking for personal information that's none of their business. Initially, we very happy with the work they did, new roof, new windows and siding but the siding on side of our house has detached twice now in three years time. The salesmen placed a ladder against the gable side of my roof and damaged the existing metal flashing, broke the shingles, and folded the drip edge flat in half. Good thing I already need a new roof. They bid 16,000$+ on the written bid (unless you buy that day for a discount making it 14,000+. I believe high pressure sales exploit vulnerable and elderly people so I despise the practice), other companies offer a 25 year warranty and are coming in around 5,500-7,500 with a written bid. They are at the very bottom of a stack of 6 bids at this point with the record highest price. read more

If you have warranty issues you will go through the same BS and they won't even call to say they rescheduled for another 2 months out! Very pushy company, the only reason I got a price was because the door to door person told me the price was guaranteed for 24 months! When the salesperson came the next day, now it's only 12 months ! 4 1/2 hours and the salesperson did not want to accept a no. After checking over the quote, realized the quote for almost $29,000, for attic insulation and windows did not include the bow window I wanted to replace, so I'm sure that would have been at least $5000 - $10,000 more !!
