This is the second time that Midwest Flooring has installed my flooring. My flooring was done perfectly. I couldn't be happier.

I had a very disappointing experience with this company. The job was originally scheduled for Friday, but they called and asked if we could move it up to Thursday. My wife rearranged her schedule so we could accommodate the change. On Thursday, despite being told they would arrive first thing in the morning, the crew did not show up until around 11:00 AM and did not begin work until noon. The project involved only one room, yet they were unable to complete the job that day. We were then told they would return Friday, but since both my wife and I would be at work, we agreed to a Saturday appointment at 8:00 AM. On Friday, I received a call from a supervisor asking me to go to Lowe's and purchase additional grout because the crew did not have enough material to finish the job. I respectfully declined, explaining that I had already paid for the project and that obtaining additional supplies should be handled between the company and Lowe's. The supervisor became upset, and shortly afterward, I received a call from Lowe's regarding a bill for more grout. Saturday morning came, and by 9:00 AM no one had arrived. I called and left a voicemail, then received a text saying the installer would arrive between 11:00 AM and noon. By noon, still no one had shown up, so I called again and left another voicemail. I then received another text stating the installer was "on the way." He finally arrived shortly after 1:00 PM, and the job was completed about four hours later. Poor communication, repeated delays, lack of preparation, and attempts to push additional supply issues onto the customer made this an extremely frustrating experience. Awful. My floors are buckling. They didn't even put the baseboards back on. I had to go round my house nailing them in. There are pockets of the floor that feel janky and irregular as I walk. Worst job of a thing that I've ever hired anyone else to do. I actually wish I could just get my run down carpet back. I also noticed a lot of marks on my walls where they scuffed them with their tools. It's a mess. I hate this floor so read more

The service was great. The guy who came to do our flooring was very detailed. The supervisor came by and checked on him and us to see how things were going. Definitely no complaints. Do not use this company. I think the installers working for this company are well-intended good men, but there is a disturbing lack of professional competence. -It took forever for them to get my quote correct -The wrong materials were ordered for my job -They told me on the day of the installation, I would need a third-party contractor to move my stove. - I asked the man who gave me the quote before the job started if my closet door was high enough for carpet, and he told me yes. After they laid the carpet, they couldn't fit my closet door back on and just left it there. -I can't close my bathroom door because of their job -I stabbed my foot on their carpet because they left some kind of tack strip on -The day and time a Midwest installer was supposed to fix one of the problems, I don't him. When I called, they said the installer is going to be late. After all the problems on the job, they have the nerve to be half an hour late. If you value professionalism and competency, don't go with them. Run. read more

we recently had a bedroom, family room, and stairway carpeted through Lowes. Midwest Flooring was the installer and we couldn't be more pleased. The communication throughout the process was excellent and the installation was flawless. We bought a patterned carpet which required extra care to aligned with the pattern at seams. They did an exceptional job to the point it was hard to even find the seams. The real proof of their expertise was the carpeted stairwell. Pattern aligned and tight edges. They know what they're doing and made it look easy. The installer were super professional and efficient. They showed respect for my family, my home and our time. I am genuinely impressed and very thankful for those gentlemen. The negativity in some Yelp reviews makes people question the positive ones but my experience with Midwest Flooring couldn't have been better. I'd recommend them to anyone. To have to write this bad review was upsetting, but that's what reviews are for. I recently got a place and before I moved in, had lowes remove and install all new flooring. Lowes did subcontract to Midwest flooring, but neither has resolved any of my issues. For starters, they caused a leak by breaking part of my washer box. I know they caused the leak while unhooking my washer, because this leak was not here before they arrived and when I had my place inspected. Okay, they caused a leak, but did they fix it? No, they refuse to take responsibility, so I had to pay $500 for a new washer box... Next, they did a terrible job replacing my baseboards. None of the edges align anymore. However, they replaced some areas with new baseboards that don't even match...? Lastly, it's like they didn't even try when installing the tile. They put no thought into the pattern... the black hex should be about 2 whites away from other blacks, but you can see they just got lazy. What I learned from this job is, no one will take responsibility, it's hard to get into contact, and they don't seem to care for your property. If you don't care how your floors or baseboards look after you them done, then sure Lowes is a great option. However, I would not recommend Lowes or Midwest flooring at all. read more

I recently purchased carpet from Lowe's. Midwest Flooring showed earlier than I expected. I was good with that-in and out. The installers moved the furniture to the living room and bathrooms. When they moved one of dressers, they scratched our hardwood floors. My husband called to check if they installed hardwood floors. Yes and was eager to help us. Once he stated their installers left a huge scratch, they would fix it when they had time. That was almost 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything. The guy that showed up to measure how much carpet needed was sick. He overestimated how much carpet was needed. The installers loaded up and took with them about 20 square yards of carpet and pad that I paid for knowing it belonged to me. Midwest refuses to do anything about it. I had our floor install done through Lowes and Midwest was the contractor they sent.. thank goodness. Lowes screwed up by not letting us know that a toilet and sink in a guest bath needed to be removed prior to install. Patrick and Kyle were the guys on our job and worked around the issue until it could be resolved. They got the job done within the time frame they estimated and did an amazing job. Lowes was never able to get a plumber to come and deal with the guest bath despite 7 phones calls and in the end I had to hire my own to get the job finished. I am really disappointed in Lowes communication and general system for hiring out work but really happy with the job done by Midwest!!!! read more

This company is a contractor for Lowe's for flooring installation. First this review has no bearing for Lowe's, as I was treated excellent and they even help reduce the price of carpet since this company clearly over estimates the sq footage. I had another retailer and private flooring company already did measurements before this company. This company had 218 sq ft more than others, so make sure the guy doing the measurements explains to you why he came up with these exaggerated measurements, almost if I was carpeting someone else's area. We kept the padding and extra carpet and believe me we could've done another living room and hallway. I have no complaints on the installers, they were promptly on time, courteous and professional. Excellent install process, please be patient with them and help move furniture to expedite the installation. read more

Was told we had a 3 hour job from the estimator. Almost 2 full days of work and the job wasn't completed correctly. Transition pieces are incorrect and lowes told us the caulking of the baseboards was part of the job while Midwest or their subcontractor told us it wasn't. They're now going to be coming to my home for the 4th time to make things right. On top of all this one of the workers asked very personal questions that aren't business appropriate. OMG, I don't even know where to begin, I purchased a simple $2,000 backslash install from Lowes (they use Midwest Flooring for their installation work) 1st the day of the installation they (Midwest) sends me a text stating the job is rescheduled "per customer request " ( I made no such request). I called them and they stated there was a problem with the date. But they would reschedule it. OK, but wait, the night before I get a text that their installer would be here at 7:00 AM odd time. so I kenneld my dog again, No one showed up, so I called (Midwest) and no one knew anything, or even what I was talking about. then i called Lowes, they told me everything was worked out and (Midwest) would be here "soon" 7 hours and ma y phone calls later I received a text that I was being rescheduled " per customer request" WITHOUT A DATE OR TIME! I had a different clerk, operator, manager each time I called on one knew anything each time I called, and I repeatedly had to give the same information over and over. Took them 12 hours to do a bedroom and some stairs. Since they were the only contractor that Lowe's uses I had them come back to measure two of my other bedrooms and closets and they wanted to add about 48 extra square feet so that the carpet with no pattern would go the same direction as the other bedroom, even though they didn't touch. I tried for a week to get ahold of the manager to tell them that I did not want their recommendation and could never get a call back. Eventually I canceled my order and went to a local carpet store and found that they were cheaper with equal or better carpet! read more

I had a laminate floor installed in May 2020. On 12-6-2020 I reported separation, or chipping at a seam. 12-17-2020 a installer came and looked at the problem, and tried to blame it on water damage, from a spot 12' away by a potted plant. He said the water traveled on top of the installation, but under the wood to the location. Sections of the floor were pulled up, by the alleged water problem, which revealed a approximately a 4 to 6 inch wet spot. A second installer came on 12-30-2020, and stated the problem was not caused by the wet spot 12' away, and could have been done during installation. We ordered our flooring from Lowe's in August of 2020 when we purchased our home. We expected some delay with everyone in the process of remodeling and it was not an issue to wait for the install which took place in October 2020. In November, our pipe burst and we were mortified. We brought out a plumber to fix what we believed to be our issue, only to find out there had been a 3 inch nail jammed into the pipe when Midwest flooring put our baseboards back on. Even with that, I'd give them 3 stars. However; it is now February of 2021 and we still don't have our flooring put back in. They fail to communicate effectively and we have to be stuck in the middle to help them figure out where the flooring is. We have no idea when the flooring will get here or when it will be installed. They even pushed the fact that it wasn't their fault in the beginning and say we were lying about the nail. There has been nothing but an apology from either this company or Lowe's. I do give credit to the installers kindness. They are very professional and super friendly guys. 3 months is just too longs to be living with half a floor for this company's mistake. read more

They scheduled our install for 3 weeks out (after we waited for carpet 6 weeks). On the day and time they were to arrive, they called and cancelled stating the installers van broke down. When we asked if someone else could come they said they were working on it but after 4 pc's throughout the day they didn't call us back. They mentioned a possible date 4 days later but didn't confirm. Our furniture was all moved out of 3 bedrooms and closets in preparation for this install and they acted like no big deal. Horrible horrible management lacking any type of professionalism. My flooring was supposed to have been installed weeks ago. They came out tore up some flooring then left because they didn't have proper equipment... seriously? They-returned a second time with different machine and left with same excuse only pushing my install back two more week. If I ran a business I would communicate well and make customers happy...ie doing what they promised. Don't expect when you call to complain, or even check with times for installation ( which is really their Job to communicate with consumer, not the other way around) to get any accountability. I spoke with one manager to explain to the situation and she blamed Lowe's, which was a lie as I waited all day for the time they scheduled. I took it a step over the manager to try and speak with the main person and was placed on hold three times (avoidance of responsibility) then told the head manager would call, which of course didn't happen. If you have ample time to sit around ,wait, and do their job of checking on scheduled installation time this is the company for you. If your looking for honest company with integrity, care for their customers, and getting installation down ( so far 3 failed times on completing job) then I highly suggest you run for cover and find an reputable company, as this company is the not it. read more

Ordered tile for my bathroom upstairs from Lowes. Day of installation, Midwest showed up and stated they needed to inspect the subflooring (which I knew) to confirm it would be good enough for tiling even though I was using concrete backer board under the tile. They lifted back the carpet and inspected the entire area. We both agreed that the subfloor was in good shape so they proceeded with the installation. They cut away and removed the old carpet, tore up the carpet tack strips, and cut some of the molding for the tile to fit underneath. Then in the middle of the job, they changed their mind and said the subfloor was was strong enough. I argued with them, jumping up and down on the subfloor (I weigh 230+ lbs). I said ok, what about laminate flooring? They would not even commit to that. They then just left leaving my bathroom floor as seen in pictures. I went back down to Lowes to cancel the contract, and was told that Midwest has tried to charge my $44 to remove the carpet!!!! I with Lowes competition to complete the job read more

My nightmare with Lowe's and Midwest Flooring began on 6/10/21 when I placed carpet orders at Lowe's on Memorial Road in OKC. This company is a sub-contractor for Lowe's . The work they do is shoddy, they lie abundantly give you the run around and it was impossible to talk to the"supervisor". This company claimed that they could not locate a near 500 square foot piece of carpet that was destined for my living room!!. Sounded like an inside job. Their installers are young and are learning on the job at the customer's expense. Between this company and Lowe's I took 4 days off from my work schedule to be home for the carpet installation that never happened for 4 months !!. In those 4 days of missed work, I lost about $5K ( I am self employed). I finally got my money refunded in late October after a good run around. The store manager at Lowe's is yet to compensate me for my lost income, he had promised he would. Bottom line I will never do business with these entities. I purchased flooring from Lowe' last winter, Midwest Flooring was contracted by Lowe's to install the flooring. we have had nothing but issue with the flooring due to improper installation to the point it is all buckling up. I have reached out to them and ask to send a supervisor out due to all the problem. They scheduled a date and time for them to arrive, no one showed up or called. I purchased carpet at Lowe's and they subcontracted out to Midwest flooring. My carpet was installed running separate directions and you could see all the seams. The installers couldn't speak any English and had installed carpet in a room that it was not even supposed to be installed in. They also had nails holding the carpet in place in the middle of the floor. They made holes in a brand new linoleum. My walls had holes and the paint was all torn up. It's been 2 months since Midwest came to install the carpet. And I'm still dealing with them trying to get my house in order and everything fixed. I've had to fix the holes in the walls and paint. I'm still waiting on them to fix the floors. I would never recommend this company to anyone. And their customer service is horrible. Their installers don't show up half the time or even call to let you know they're not coming. I would give them a zero star rating if it was an option. read more
