Since Van3 don't provide tracking, we put an airtag in the car and my car was sitting around Compton for a few days!! We didn't receive updates (usually a day after) unless we texted or called/left voicemail first. Turns out, it was national inspection week so truck drivers were being stopped or didn't want to accept transport. Being in the business for years, I would've expected professionals to be aware of that time of year.

Full story: We had engaged another broker to transport our car from Boston to California and the other broker pulled a bait and switch tripling the originally quoted price. Needless to say we cancelled our order with that broker leaving us in a pinch. When I called Bobby, I was very skeptical of auto shippers because of the other broker. He was very patient with me, explaining everything and assuring us he would deliver on his promises. I had read all the great reviews on Yelp so I decided to go for it. Within an hour he had located a driver and had the driver's dispatch call me to coordinate a pick-up time and what we could expect upon delivery. When the truck arrived to pick-up our car, the driver was very professional and documented the condition of the car while keeping me informed of everything he was doing. When he finished, I was shown everything he had noted and was provided an electronic copy to my email. Our car was delivered right to our door and in excellent condition. I will never go with anyone else when shipping a car, Bobby and Van 3 Auto Transport are top notch.

Price was reasonable and I was able to do guaranteed pickup and drop off on scheduled dates which was very helpful as I moved across the country and had very specific dates. I did feel pressured to book quickly in the beginning which only added to the stress of moving. My car was picked up and dropped off on time and without damage so I'm grateful for that. The biggest issue I had was the lack of communication from Montway to the dispatched carriers. My carrier was changed three times, which is fine and didn't bother me, but Montway did not effectively communicate these changes to all the carriers. I ended up getting calls from several different drivers on the day of pick up so it was very unclear who would actually be picking up my car. Overall, my experience was fine and the goal was achieved, but it could've been better.

I could clearly understand the agent. I have no problem with anyone's counter of origin, but if they're not speaking English clearly, that's a problem. The same agent that booked the job was with us during the entire process. Yes, a lot is up to the trucking companies that bid on the job but communication with one dedicated agent is paramount. Montway lacks this and I cannot stress how aggravating it was to deal with them .....many agents and then the delays in cancelling not one job but two on the same vehicle......two different charges on a credit card, since the second one was much higher of a quote. If I could give Montway a rating lower than one star....I certainly would.
