I highly recommend the experience from product information to purchase to installation. Product Info and Discovery: I was surprised to learn that not all Sub-Zero retailers are the same. Given that we already had a Sub-Zero and were replacing it after more than 30 years of usage, we started our process at the Sub-Zero showroom in Costa Mesa. This location was purely informational, as they don't sell at that location, but we were able to see and compare every unit. We visited a Ferguson Home but was disappointed at not being able to see the unit we were looking to purchase and because the salesperson was not fully aware of all the features of the model. We ultimately purchased from UAKC because the units were were interested were not just side by side, but powered on to the same level of coldness that you would have in your home. That was huge for us as it helped us understand how cold our drinks would be and how cold our foods would be chilled in each compartment. Purchase: I worked with MD Rayhan on the purchase process. MD was helpful in providing "crowd sourced" feedback from his other customers to help me choose between the Pro and Classic models. Specifically, I wanted to understand if the Pro freezer was going to be too small (it runs about 50% smaller than my prior Classic freezer) or if it was simply moving along with the consumer trend toward more fresh foods. Given that Sub-Zero pricing is fixed regardless of retailer, MD helped me find manufacture rebates that I qualified for and was market competitive on installation costs. Lastly, MD helped find inventory and schedule my delivery so that I could get the new unit installed as soon as possible. Installation: UAKC sent a four person team of certified installers led by Juan and Alex. The certified expertise was helpful because it got us a longer 3 year warranty, but the expertise around the equipment was also invaluable. From unboxing the unit on our driveway to carrying the 650 pound unit up a few stairs, removing a door and leaning the unit through our doorway, everything was done professionally, cleanly and with no scratches to home or refrigerator. They even polished the unit and removed all the plastic film covering the stainless steel panels so that the refrigerator was ready to be used. The entire process took about two hours. Couldn't ask for more.

My oven had already been worked on twice within the first year warranty, but the company that Home Depot sent was unable to fix the problem after two attempts, even though the oven was new at the time. Nick, on the other hand, diagnosed the problem and fixed it successfully on his first attempt. His work was very efficient and he could not have been more professional, courteous, or pleasant throughout the entire process. The second appliance was my washing machine, which presented a little more of a challenge because the necessary part was difficult to find, but Nick was able to locate the correct part and complete the repair really quickly. The three visits to work on both appliances included the initial evaluations, identifying and obtaining the correct parts, and completing repairs to both appliances. Considering the amount of time Nick spent working, and the fact that three separate visits were required, I found the prices to be extremely reasonable. By today's standards it's worth repeating....the prices were extremely reasonable ! I highly recommend TJ Appliance Repair, and if you have the opportunity, I would recommend asking for Nick. Sharp needed a second opinion and sent out A+ Appliances. A+ Appliances claimed it was working fine. Not the case. Top rack dishes do not get washed, bottom has a detergent film. They ran part of a cycle with no dishes and said it was getting water (not the problem but they claimed that because of this, they found it in perfect working condition.) They have promised they'd send another tech out and they are not answering my calls and no one has come out. They were also supposed to submit pictures to Sharp and have not. Do not call these guys and if they are sent out by an appliance company for a warranty check, ask for someone else. Its been over a week and no response or next steps.

But because they ONLY sell appliances, their "small" stature soon grew to big when you consider the size of the appliance department with bigger stores. I have to say after my own frustrating search, I was not hopeful. I have a 100-year-old house with many restrictions, plus I don't want what most do: I don't want induction, I don't want convection, I want all electric, and I require a storage drawer. I wasn't finding ANYTHING like that (with perhaps the exception of an $6,000- $10,000 range) and held little hope. Oran Fine asked me if he could help. I had no idea just how much! He went right to work on it. I live close by, and had a tight schedule. So, I listed my needs, my budget (not big!), gave him my e-mail address and by the time I got home (10 minutes?) I had information from him. The PERFECT range for me. At a very good price. I was able to buy it through his e-mails, and when I told him the price of a refrigerator I wanted on sale at a Big Box store, he matched the price in both the appliance and warranty. Oran went so far as to check with me as to what type of outlet I had for my current range and when it wouldn't work with the new one he texted the specs and the actual picture of the plug and outlet it needed to my electrician. (Even my electrician was impressed!) He also got the length of the refrigerator power cord for me (who does that?) so I would know if that outlet also needed adjusting. The day of delivery I was given a 2-hour window, and then called with a "be there in 10 minutes" arrival time. The installers were FABULOUS. My house is hard. Lots of nooks and crannies and tight hallways and sharp turns and they did not let it deter them. They worked hard and efficiently and left everything in perfect order. I called Oran the next day to thank him and he said he would connect with his team and they would do all the warranty paperwork and send me the information for me to keep. WOW. Can you imagine a Big Box store doing all this???? SO pleased I went there. HUGELY better service, GREAT price match, and thinking through the whole process with you (as in texting specs to my electrician). Can't imagine going anywhere else for my next appliance need. I have already turned on one friend who was also impressed. She too had been on "the search." Now, with Oran's research and direction, her delivery arrives tomorrow! The problem is that the serviceman mistakenly failed properly to adjust the kick-plate which prevented the door from closing, which prevented the machine from being used, and which necessitated a new appointment and waiting window. This proved to be seriously inconvenient for me. In my view, the owner, Roman, should have accommodated for his company's mistake and should that day have made arrangements for a service person to return that day. He didn't accommodate my request, requiring me to cancel a doctor's appointment previously scheduled on the first date a service person could come. Not good. Now my review, sadly, is reduced to three stars. I don't like feeling that I must give an honest review, which is below five stars. In my view, a five star review connotes perfect service. So, when the owner was apprised that the service was immediately imperfect, he should have bent over backwards to make things right on the day that the appointment occurred. Between the owner's inconvenience and mine, it's the owner who should have suffered the inconvenience on the day that things should have been right, not wrong. By this review, I'm letting him know he should have done better, way better. To be fair, I went in pretty much knowing what I wanted after agonizing over Consumer Reports and online reviews. Waadt was the third appliance store I visited. Prices were consistent across the board. Most places didn't have demo electric ranges in store since it's low in demand, but they can order anything and seem to have direct contact with vendors. I wasn't in a hurry, so I placed my order with Bill on 2/13/26. He called me on 2/24/26 to let me know my appliances had arrived, process payment and we scheduled install for 2/26/26. I was given an install window of 9:30-11:30AM and they showed up around 10:00AM. The install guys were great. There was of course a problem, as my current range was hardwired to the electrical and there was no outlet for the new one. They said no problem, ran to the hardware store, bought the necessary supplies, installed the outlet and had me up and running. This is exactly why I didn't go with a big box store. Bill let me know his installers were equipped to handle any surprises and they were. Big box stores will only plug it in and leave. Any problems you're on your own to solve. Install prices, with the addition of an outlet, were reasonable. Would I use Waadt again? Definitely!
